Given bins of size B, non-negative values d and Δ, and a list L of items, each item e∈L with size se and class ce, we define a shelf as a subset of items packed inside a bin with total item sizes at most Δ such that all items in this shelf have the same class. Two subsequent shelves must be separated by a shelf division of size d. The size of a shelf is the total size of its items plus the size of the shelf division. The class constrained shelf bin packing problem (CCSBP) is to pack the items of L into the minimum number of bins, such that the items are divided into shelves and the total size of the shelves in a bin is at most B. We present hybrid algorithms based on the First Fit (Decreasing) and Best Fit (Decreasing) algorithms, and an APTAS for the problem CCSBP when the number of different classes is bounded by a constant C. 相似文献

A new application of the nonlinear transmission line (NLTL) for high-voltage pulse generation is reported. In this NLTL, a rise time of an input pulse voltage of 20-kV amplitude can be reduced from 500 to less than 120 ns. Using this circuit, we demonstrated excitation of a pulsed CO2 laser, and obtained output energy of 129 mJ at an efficiency of 4.3%. Moreover, we find that the head-on collision of two solitons is quite effective to generate a high-voltage and short-width pulse. The input pulse is doubled in amplitude and sharpened in width, from 3.6 kV-300 ns to 11 kV-76 ns. With this method, the utilization of semiconductor devices such as the SI thyristor is possible as a primary switching device. By using the semiconductor nano-pillar with a graded-dope configuration, we implemented the measurement for a single-electron transport through an individual InAs self-assembled quantum dot (SAQD). An atomic-force microscope observation showed that the SAQD had a disk-like shape with a diameter of 30 nm. We succeeded in observing a significant diamagnetic shift of the Coulomb oscillation peak under the magnetic field applied perpendicular to the disk plane. The measurement gave us a lateral confinement energy of 14 meV and an electron effective mass of 0.039, which provided us with quantitative evidence that the constituent material of the observed quantum dot originates from the InAs SAQD. 相似文献

Five novel phosphate-type hybrid surfactants, CmF2m+1C6H4CH[OPO2(OC6H5)Na]CnH2n+1 (FmPHnPPhNa: m = 4, 6, 8; n = 3, 5; C6H4 = p-phenylene, C6H5 = phenyl), have been synthesized. When compared with sulfate-type hybrid surfactants, CmF2m+1C6H4CH(OSO3Na)CnH2n+1 (C6H4 = p-phenylene), the new hybrid surfactants are found to have comparable abilities to lower surface tension of water. The critical micelle concentrations of FmPHnPPhNa follow Klevens rule and their occupied areas per molecule increase with increasing m and n. Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHAp) pellets modified with FmPH3PPhNa gives high hydrophobic and lipophobic surfaces. The hybrid surfactants are expected as new dental reagents for oral hygiene. 相似文献

Abstract— The photodimerization of 1-cyclohexylthymine (l-CT).and the effect of adding 9-ethyladenine (9-EA) on this reaction were studied in chloroform and/or acetonitrile solutions. The photodimerization of 1-CT is shown to occur through an excited triplet state. 9-EA works as an inhibitor against this reaction by quenching the excited singlet state of 1-CT.
