A series of meso‐tetrakis‐(ERE donor) zinc(II) porphyrins n Zn (ERE donor=4‐R‐3,5‐bis[(E)‐methyl]phenyl; 1 Zn: E=NMe2, R=Br; 2 Zn: E=NMe2, R=H; 3 Zn: E=OMe, R=Br; 4 Zn: E=OMe, R=H) have been synthesized in excellent yields. As a result of the combination of a Lewis acidic site and eight Lewis basic sites within one molecule, monomeric molecules of n Zn self‐assemble to form one‐dimensional porphyrin polymers [ n Zn] in the solid state, as confirmed for 1 Zn and 3 Zn by X‐ray crystallography. The coordination environment around the zinc(II) ions in these polymers is octahedral. They are ligated by four equatorial nitrogen atoms of the porphyrin and two apical E atoms (E=N, O) provided by the EBrE donor groups of adjacent n Zn molecules. Complexes 2 Zn and 4 Zn did not form single crystals, but solid‐state UV/Vis analysis points to the formation of similar structures. Solution UV/Vis and 1H NMR spectroscopy indicated that interactions between 1 Zn and 2 Zn monomers in the polymers are stronger than between 3 Zn and 4 Zn monomers. Interestingly, they also revealed that the presence of a neighboring bromine atom in the EBrE donor groups has a considerable influence on the coordination properties of the benzylic N or O atoms. The zinc(II) ions of the porphyrins most likely adopt only hexacoordination in the solid state, owing to the unique predisposition of Lewis acidic and basic sites in the n Zn molecules. Several parameters of the aggregates, for example, the interplanar separation between porphyrins and the zinc–zinc distances, change as a function of the coordinating E groups. The high degree of modularity in their synthesis makes these zinc(II) porphyrins an interesting new entry in noncovalent multiporphyrin assemblies.  相似文献

A variety of methods has been used for the study of lithium bromide solutions in acetonitrile yielding by their combination reliable information on different levels of approximation. Osmotic coefficients based on precise vapor pressure measurements are reproduced by CM (chemical model) and HNC (hypernetted chain) calculations and by BD (brownian dynamics) simulations. The results of neutron scattering experiments are treated with the help of HNC and BD methods. Hartree-Fock calculations on isolated LiBr pairs and solvated lithium ions yield reliable particle distances and reveal the geometry of the lithium solvation sphere.  相似文献

Using a surface force balance we demonstrate unambiguously that high-molecular-weight poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) does not adsorb onto mica from purified water with no added salt, a surprising observation in view of its strong adsorption on mica from aqueous 0.1 M KNO3 solution. Analysis of the force profiles, together with the known complexation of PEO with metal ions, suggests that the polymer attachment to the negatively charged surface is mediated by the hydrated potassium ion acting as a ligand.  相似文献

Homogeneous electrocatalytic proton reduction is reported using cobalt complex [ 1 ](BF4)2. This complex comprises two bis(1-methyl-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)methane (HBMIM ) ligands that contain an acidic methylene moiety in their backbone. Upon reduction of [ 1 ](BF4)2 by either electrochemical or chemical means, one of its HBMIM ligands undergoes deprotonation under the formation of dihydrogen. Addition of a mild proton source (acetic acid) to deprotonated complex [ 2 ](BF4) regenerates protonated complex [ 1 ](BF4)2. In presence of acetic acid in acetonitrile solvent [ 1 ](BF4)2 shows electrocatalytic proton reduction with a kobs of ≈200 s−1 at an overpotential of 590 mV. Mechanistic investigations supported by DFT (BP86) suggest that dihydrogen formation takes place in an intramolecular fashion through the participation of a methylene C−H bond of the HBMIM ligand and a CoII−H bond through formal heterolytic splitting of the latter. These findings are of interest to the development of responsive ligands for molecular (base)metal (electro)catalysis.  相似文献

Progressive reaction networks as frequently arise in chemistry are naturally identifiable as "partially ordered sets" (or posets). Here the direction of the reaction identifies the partial ordering of the set of molecular species. The possibility that different properties are similarly ordered is a further natural consideration and is here investigated for a suite of over 30 properties for (methyl and chloro) substituted benzenes. Such a posetic correlation is favorably demonstrated for these substituted benzenes, and it is illustrated how suitable properties may be simply predicted in an interpolative parameter-free (albeit not model-free) fashion through the use of the reaction poset. Some numerical model-quality indicators are identified, and the simple approach is deemed quite reasonable.  相似文献

Pre-resonance Raman spectra have been obtained for TCNQ and LiTCNQ in acetonitrile solution using an Ar+—Kr+ laser and a tunable rhodamine 6G dye laser. Using the theory of Albrecht and Hutley, we have calculated frequency factors for the intensity variations for several symmetric vibrational modes of each molecule. The observed spectra for TCNQ and LiTCNQ with violet, blue, and green excitation give evidence for B-type resonance enhancement due to vibronic mixing between at least two violet and ultraviolet transitions. The Raman spectra for LiTCNQ with yellow, orange, and red excitation show A-type enhancement due to a single electronic excitation in the near infrared.  相似文献

A simple semiconductor gas sensor (TGS 812) is used for the on-line measurement and control of indole during the production of l-tryptophan from indole and l-serine with immobilized E. coli cells. Indole is estimated in the reactor gas space. In combination with an automatic indole supply system, a feed-batch process became possible. The indole concentration was monitored and kept within the optimal range (300–600 mg l?1). A simple gas-sensing electrode dipped in the reaction medium provides direct measurement of organic solvents and gases in the liquid. Such a system is suitable for on-line determination of ethanol (10–70 g l?1) during continuous production of ethanol with immobilized yeast cells.  相似文献

The 13C NMR data of some mono- and disubstituted adamantanes, homoadamantenes and homonoradamantenes are presented. A model of dependencies of the γanti substituent induced shifts on torsion angles and internuclear distances between substituents and the γ carbons is proposed.
