Linear propagation of two pulses through methanol solution of aluminum phthalocyanine chloride is investigated using a modified white-light Michelson interferometer. The observed coherence time of the white light is 6 fs, and the separation between the two-excitation pulses is set to about 10 fs. The excitation is dependent on the phase-relation between the two pulses. We have observed an enhancement of the excitation when the two pulses are in-phase and strong suppression of the excitation when the two pulses are out of phase by π. 相似文献

The polarization curve of an acid-base interface in a hydrogel medium has a diode characteristic. Two of each such electrolyte diodes can be combined to give an electrolyte transistor. When a salt is added to the alkaline or to the acidic part of a reverse biased electrolyte diode, the current response is highly nonlinear. If the salt is added to the acidic side, even bistability can be observed. This bistability can generate complex oscillations in a base-acid-base electrolyte transistor. These nonlinear effects are studied experimentally and theoretically. While the nonlinear salt effect can be explained with the Nernst-Planck equations, to understand the bistable behavior further investigations are necessary. The origin of the ion beam mixing effect, which causes the formation of smooth silicide films, is investigated for the Ti/Si solid-phase silicidation reaction. Ge ion beam mixing of a conventional Ti/c-Si structure with an oxide-contaminated interface shows an obvious effect when the implant conditions are such that the Ti/Si interface is amorphized. On the other hand, silicidation without ion mixing for Ti/a-Si and Ti/c-Si structures with oxide-free interfaces, prepared by sequential deposition in UHV, results in smooth and rough film surfaces, respectively. This strongly suggests that the ion beam mixing effect primarily comes from the amorphization of the Si substrate surface rather than the destruction of the interfacial oxide film. 相似文献

Persistent carbocations generated by the protonation of hetero‐polycyclic aromatic compounds with oxygen atom(s) were studied by experimental NMR and density function theory calculations. Benzo[kl]xanthene ( 1 ), dibenzo[d,d′]benzo[1,2‐b:4,3‐b′]difuran ( 2 ), and dibenzo[d,d′]benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]difuran ( 3 ) were synthesized by the annulation of arenediazonium salts. Compound 1 in FSO3H‐SbF5 (4:1)/SO2ClF and 3 in FSO3H‐SbF5 (1:1)/SO2ClF ionized to 1aH+ with protonation at C(4) and to 3aH+ with protonation at C(6), and these cations were successfully observed by NMR at low temperatures. The density function theory calculations indicated that 1aH+ and 3aH+ were the most stable protonated carbocations and that 2 should ionize to 2aH+ with protonation at C(6). According to the changes in 13C chemical shifts (Δδ13C), the positive charge was delocalized into the naphthalene unit for 1aH+ , into one benzo[b,d]furan unit for 2aH+ , and into one benzo[b,d]furan unit for 3aH+ . A new method for rotation and brightness invariant pattern recognition was proposed by applying multiple circular harmonic expansions to the joint transform correlator. The amplitudes of the multiple orders of circular harmonic expansions made from a detecting image were synthetically modified to respond to the same auto-correlation peaks. These modified circular harmonic expansions were arranged in the input plane as reference patterns together with an arbitrary target pattern, and the correlation signals between them were calculated in the subtracted joint transform correlator. The fraction of the correlation-peak intensities between the target and the references were extracted as a new discrimination parameter. This new parameter performs pattern recognition under rotation and brightness invariance with good discriminability. Its high discriminability has been proved in computer simulations using the face image patterns of many individuals. 相似文献

Emission and absorption spectra have been measured for 2,3-, 2,4- and 2,5-difluorobenzaldehyde vapors at different temperatures. The observed emission consists of the T1(n, π*) phosphorescence accompanied by the weak S1(n, π*) delayed fluorescence for all the molecules. The vibrational analyses of the emission spectra based on the results of the DFT calculations indicate that the observed emission originates from only the stable (anti) conformer. It is inferred from the temperature dependence of the phosphorescence intensity that the T1(n, π*) → T2(π, π*) internal conversion and/or the reverse T1(n, π*) → S1(n, π*) intersystem crossing contribute to the decrease in the phosphorescence intensity upon increasing temperature. A new scheme for stabilizing the carrier-envelope (CE) phase of a few-cycle laser pulse train is demonstrated. Self-phase modulation and difference-frequency generation in a single periodically poled lithium niobate crystal that transmits the main laser beam allows CE phase locking directly in the usable output. The monolithic scheme obviates the need for splitting off a fraction of the laser output for CE phase control, coupling into microstructured fiber, and separation and recombination of spectral components. As a consequence, the output yields 6-fs, 800-nm pulses with an unprecedented degree of short- and long-term reproducibility of the electric field waveform. 相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate continuous-variable quantum teleportation beyond the no-cloning limit. We teleport a coherent state and achieve the fidelity of 0.70 +/- 0.02 that surpasses the no-cloning limit of 2/3. Surpassing the limit is necessary to transfer the nonclassicality of an input quantum state. By using our high-fidelity teleporter, we demonstrate entanglement swapping, namely, teleportation of quantum entanglement, as an example of transfer of nonclassicality. 相似文献

We propose a new illumination method for a medical endoscope: narrow band imaging (NBI), in which the spectral bandwidth of the filtered light is narrowed. To confirm how the spectral specifications of the filtered light influence a reproduced image, an experiment was conducted observing the endoscopic images of the back mucosa of a human tongue. In addition, the effect of NBI on endoscopic images was investigated through preliminary clinical tests in colonoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. It has been shown that NBI can enhance the capillary pattern and the crypt pattern on the mucosa. These patterns are useful features for diagnosing an early cancer. 相似文献
