High-resolution proton magnetic resonance and infrared spectra of poly(vinyl formal) were studied in comparison with those of the model formals obtained from stereoisomers of pentane-2,4-diol and heptane-2,4,6-triol in order to learn spectral changes due to differences of the steric structures of the polymer. In the NMR spectrum of transformal obtained from dl diol or dl,dl (syndiotactic) triol, all proton signals were well interpreted by assuming a rapid chair-chair inversion of the formal ring. On the other hand, no such inversion was observed spectroscopically in cis-formal obtained from the meso diol or meso,meso (isotactic) triol, and the cis-formal ring was supposed to take a diequatorial form preferentially. Consequently, dioxymethylene protons gave a single peak (equivalent) in trans-formal and an AB quartet (nonequivalent) in cis-formal. In the spectra of poly(vinyl formal), the dioxymethylene signal was an overlap of the singlet and quartet in dimethylsulfoxide solution. Observations of the spectra of various poly(vinyl formals) obtained from poly(vinyl alcohols) of different tacticities and study of temperature dependence of the signal have shown that the singlet and quartet are attributed to trans- and cis- formals, respectively, in the polymer spectrum also. In the infrared spectra of poly(vinyl formals), the 800 and 785 cm-1 bands were found to be related to cis- and trans-formal rings respectively. A linear relationship was confirmed between D785/D800 and trans/cis ratios determined from the peak intensities of the dioxymethylene proton signals.  相似文献

Radiation-induced copolymer grafting of acenaphthylene and maleic anhydride onto polyethylene or EVA film in the vapor phase was carried out and the effect of comonomer sorption on the grafting was studied. When polyethylene film was used as a backbone polymer, the sorption of the binary monomers during the grafting increased linearly as the grafting reaction proceeded. The marked increase was probably caused by the formation of a grafted layer. Particularly, the sorption of maleic anhydride was brought about by the existence of a grafted layer. In grafting onto EVA film, the content of maleic anhddride in the grafted copolymer increased with the increasing content of vinyl acetate in EVA. Continuous measurements of sorption of the comonomers onto EVA and grafted EVA films were carried out by use of an electrobalance. The distinctive feature of the sorption was that the equilibrium sorption of acenaphthylene or maleic anhydride onto the grafted EVA film increased and the diffusion constants for both comonomers decreased markedly with increasing percentage of graft. The copolymer grafting was explained from these results by assuming that the monomer molecules are supplied to the propagating chain ends mostly through a sorbed state on the polymer film.  相似文献

A method for the simultaneous determination of aldehydes in dialdehyde fragments, obtained from carbohydrate samples by periodate oxidation, is proposed. Reaction mixtures obtained from the periodate oxidation of carbohydrate samples are deionized by resins, and evaporated to dryness. The syrupy residues are treated with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine hydrochloride in 1.2-dimethoxyethane at 25°C for 3 h. The resultant mixtures of hydrazones are separated by t.l.c. or l.c., and individual hydrazones are determined by spectrophotometric measurement. Reliable analyses of carbohydrate linkages are possible with 50–250-μg samples.  相似文献

We present tamper resistance in optical excitation transfer via optical near-field interactions based on the energy dissipation process occurring locally in nanometric devices such as quantum dots. A theoretical comparison with electrical systems is also shown, focusing on the required environmental conditions. Numerical simulations based on virtual photon models demonstrate high tamper resistance.  相似文献

Indium tin oxide (ITO) whiskers were grown by VLS (vapour-liquid-solid) mechanism, using the electron shower method. The whiskers were grown above 200 °C, and the deposition rate was above 0.6 nm/s. The electron shower controlled the size of the whiskers, and the size was 30 nm in diameter and 600 nm in length. The whiskers grew along the substrate at t < 300 s, but grew in a direction perpendicular to the substrate at t > 300 s. When the ITO whiskers grown along the substrate were used as NO2 gas sensor, the sensitivity was 340, and about 300 times higher than those of the whiskers grown in a direction perpendicular to the substrate and plate-like ITO crystallites.  相似文献

The μ-PD method originally developed for oxide crystals has been modified and applied for filamentary silicon crystal growth. Our main modification of μ-PD method is concerned with an arrangement of melt permeable feeder which is inserted into the nozzle. The feeder finishes by a sharp tip the diameter of which (is almost the same as that of the desired semiconductor fiber, i.e., less than 150 μm. Silicon fibers were grown from the small liquid pool at the end of the feeder. Three types of crucible-die arrangement were designed and tested. The best results were obtained with the help of inclined insert made of graphite fibers because of its ability to quench oscillations and longer operation life. Fiber crystals, 100 μm in diameter and 70 mm in length, have been grown successfully. Small meniscus stability, operating limits of μ-PD method and silicon carbide formation during the growth process are discussed.  相似文献
