Magnetoresponsive hybrid capsules formed with polyelectrolytes, amphiphile bilayers and Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles were fabricated by a colloid-templating technique. Melamine-formaldehyde (MF) core particles with polyelectrolyte multilayer shell were prepared by layer-by-layer assembly. Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles were additionally deposited on the capsular surface. Hollow capsules were obtained by the removal of the MF core particles. Amphiphile bilayer was finally coated on the obtained hollow capsules. The deposition amount of the Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles is variable by changing the concentration of Fe(3)O(4) dispersion using for preparation of capsules. Encapsulated dyes were released on-demand by irradiation with an alternating magnetic field, due to a phase transition in the amphiphile membrane, induced by heating of the magnetic nanoparticles. Arsenobetaine, arsenocholine, trimethylarsine oxide and tetramethylarsonium iodide, which are contained in marine fishery products, were examined for their potencies on cell growth inhibition, chromosomal aberration and sister chromatid exchange (SCE). Arseno- betaine, the major water-soluble organic arsenic compound in marine animals, exhibited very low cytotoxicity towards mammalian cells. This compound showed no cell growth inhibition at a concentration of 10 mg cm−3 and the cytotoxicity was lower than 1/14 000th of that of sodium arsenite and 1/1600th of that of sodium arsenate towards BALB/c 3T3 cells. The chromosomal aberrations caused by arsenobetaine at a concentration of 10 mg cm−3 consisted mainly of chromatid gaps and chromatid breaks, but in this concentration chromosomal breakage owing to its osmotic pressure is likely to be considerable. No SCE was observed at a concentration of 1 mg cm−3. Arsenocholine and trimethylarsine oxide also showed no cell growth inhibited at a concentration of 10 mg cm−3. However, tetramethylarsonium iodide inhibition the growth of BALB/c 3T3 at a concentration of 8 mg cm−3. These compounds exhibited a low ability to induce chromosomal aberrations at a concentration range of 2–10 mg cm−3 and no SCE was observed at a concentration of 1.0 mg cm−3. These results suggested that the major and minor organic arsenic compounds contained in marine fishery products are much less cytotoxic inorganic arsenic, methylarsonic acid and dimethylarsinic acid. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

We report the preparation of aqueous liposome dispersions of J-aggregates formed by the amphiphilic merocyanine dye (MD). A series of liposome-forming lipids were dispersed together with MD J-aggregates at different molar ratios of MD to lipid. The MD J-aggregate dispersions prepared with 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC) at the MD to DMPC ratio of 0.16 exhibit good dispersibility; that is, they can be readily redispersed without any flocculation even after their precipitation. By use of different counterions for the MD molecules, two types of J-aggregate dispersions, one that exhibits an absorption band (J-band) at 635 nm (type I) and the other at 600 nm (type II), were obtained. As an example of the use of MD J-aggregates liposome dispersions, the thermochromic transformation of MD J-aggregates was demonstrated. When the dispersions are heated, J-aggregates of type I transformed into type II at a certain temperature (T(disp)). The parameters that control the speed of the transformation and the value of T(disp) were determined. 相似文献

The object of this study was to measure the liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) data of binary mixtures containing ionic liquids and citrus essential oil. We investigated linalool as the citrus essential oil, and 1-alkyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C n MIM]+[TFSI]?) as the ionic liquid. Firstly, the experimental apparatus and procedure for the LLE measurement of mixtures containing ionic liquids were verified by measuring the LLE of the binary mixture 1-hexyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C6MIM]+[TFSI]?) + 1-hexanol as a reference test system recommended by Marsh et al. (Pure Appl Chem 81:781–789, 2009). Next, the LLE data for IL + linalool were obtained, and the LLE data of two binary mixtures 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C4MIM]+[TFSI]?) or [C6MIM]+[TFSI]? + linalool were determined. The time‐dependent emission enhancement (TDEE) phenomena of the 1‐(o‐carboran‐1‐yl)ethynylpyrene dyad were reported. It was found that the emission intensity from the dyad increased in tetrahydrofuran (THF), acetone and dichloromethane with increasing incubation time. From the mechanistic studies, it was suggested that agglomeration of the dyad gradually proceeded in these media, followed by expression of excimer luminescence. Additionally, it was shown that the rates of TDEE of the dyad were sensitively accelerated in the presence of a trace amount of water. Based on this fact, a detection system for water contents in acetone was constructed. Before and after incubation for 96 h at room temperature, time courses of changes in optical properties were monitored. Finally, water contents in acetone can be estimated by the degrees of TDEE and emission color changes in the range from 0.1 wt % to 2.0 wt % and from 2.0 wt % to 20 wt %, respectively. 相似文献
