An asymmetric total synthesis of ent‐pyripyropene A was achieved by a convergent synthetic route. We used our originally developed TiIII‐catalyzed radical cyclization to construct an AB‐ring portion that consisted of a trans‐decalin skeleton with five contiguous stereogenic centers. The coupling between the AB‐ring and the DE‐ring portions, and a subsequent C‐ring cyclization, led to the total synthesis of ent‐pyripyropene A. An evaluation of the insecticidal activity of ent‐pyripyropene A against two aphid species revealed that ent‐pyripyropene A was 35–175 times less active than naturally occurring pyripyropene A. This result indicated that the biological target of pyripyropene A recognizes the absolute configuration of pyripyropene A.  相似文献

Cellulose is a major biopolymer on the earth that is produced by cellulose synthase in the cell membrane of living organisms. Cellulose synthase is a hetero-subunit complex composed of several different protein subunits, and is visualized as a supermolecular complex called a “terminal complex” by electron microscopy. Such supermolecular organization of an enzyme complex is believed to be important for the fiber formation or crystallization of cellulose microfibrils in cellulose biosynthesis. In the case of the cellulose-producing bacterium Acetobacter, it is hypothesized that the enzyme complex includes at least six subunits given its genetic constitution. However, to date, only three of these molecules have been experimentally confirmed as the subunits included in the terminal complex: CesB, CesD, and ccp2. In this study, we used fluorescence immuno-microscopy to show that CesA protein, the catalytic subunit, is included in the terminal complex of Acetobacter. Furthermore we discuss the obtained microscopic data for improving our understanding of the molecular organization of the bacterial cellulose synthase complex.  相似文献

The third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties, at the molecular level, the static second hyperpolarizabilities, γ, of supermolecular systems composed of phenalenyl and pyrene rings linked by acetylene units are investigated by employing the long-range corrected spin-unrestricted density functional theory, LC-UBLYP, method. The phenalenyl based superethylene, superallyl, and superbutadiene in their lowest spin states have intermediate diradical characters and exhibit larger γ values than the closed-shell pyrene based superpolyene systems. The introduction of a positive charge into the phenalenyl based superallyl radical changes the sign of γ and enhances its amplitude by a factor of 35. Although such sign inversion is also observed in the allyl radical and cation systems in their ground state equilibrium geometries, the relative amplitude of γ is much different, that is, |γ(regular allyl cation)/γ(regular allyl radical)| = 0.61 versus |γ(phenalenyl based superallyl cation)/γ(phenalenyl based superallyl radical)| = 35. In contrast, the model ethylene, allyl radical/cation, and butadiene systems with stretched carbon-carbon bond lengths (2.0 ?), having intermediate diradical characters, exhibit similar γ features to those of the phenalenyl based superpolyene systems. This exemplifies that the size dependence of γ as well as its sign change by introducing a positive charge on the phenalenyl based superpolyene systems originate from their intermediate diradical characters. In addition, the change from the lowest to the highest π-electron spin states significantly reduces the γ amplitudes of the neutral phenalenyl based superpolyene systems. For phenalenyl based superallyl cation, the sign inversion of γ (from negative to positive) is observed upon switching between the singlet and triplet states, which is predicted to be associated with a modification of the balance between the positive and negative contributions to γ. The present study paves the way toward designing a variety of open-shell NLO supermolecular systems composed of phenalenyl radical building blocks.  相似文献

1,2,3-Benzotriazin-4(3H)-ones and 1,2,3,4-benzothiatriazine 1,1(2H)-dioxide reacted with isocyanides in the presence of a palladium catalyst to give 3-(imino)isoindolin-1-ones and 3-(imino)thiaisoindoline 1,1-dioxides, respectively, in high yield. A series of mono-, bis-, tris-, and tetrakis(porphinato)zinc(II) (PZn)-elaborated ruthenium(II) bis(terpyridine) (Ru) complexes have been synthesized in which an ethyne unit connects the macrocycle meso carbon atom to terpyridyl (tpy) 4-, 4'-, and 4'-positions. These supermolecular chromophores, based on the ruthenium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridinyl))-10,20-bis(2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phenyl)porphinato]zinc(II)-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridine)(2+) bis-hexafluorophosphate (RuPZn) archetype, evince strong mixing of the PZn-based oscillator strength with ruthenium terpyridyl charge resonance bands. Potentiometric and linear absorption spectroscopic data indicate that for structures in which multiple PZn moieties are linked via ethynes to a [Ru(tpy)(2)](2+) core, little electronic coupling is manifest between PZn units, regardless of whether they are located on the same or opposite tpy ligand. Congruent with these experiments, pump-probe transient absorption studies suggest that the individual RuPZn fragments of these structures exhibit, at best, only modest excited-state electronic interactions that derive from factors other than the dipole-dipole interactions of these strong oscillators; this approximate independent character of the component RuPZn oscillators enables fabrication of nonlinear optical (NLO) multipoles with extraordinary hyperpolarizabilities. Dynamic hyperpolarizability (β(λ)) values and depolarization ratios (ρ) were determined from hyper-Rayleigh light scattering (HRS) measurements carried out at an incident irradiation wavelength (λ(inc)) of 1300 nm. The depolarization ratio data provide an experimental measure of chromophore optical symmetry; appropriate coupling of multiple charge-transfer oscillators produces structures having enormous averaged hyperpolarizabilities (β(HRS) values), while evolving the effective chromophore symmetry from purely dipolar (e.g., Ru(tpy)[4-(Zn-porphyrin)ethynyl-tpy](PF(6))(2), β(HRS) = 1280 × 10(-30) esu, ρ = 3.8; Ru(tpy)[4'-(Zn-porphyrin)ethynyl-tpy](PF(6))(2), β(HRS) = 2100 × 10(-30) esu, ρ = 3.8) to octopolar (e.g., Ru[4,4'-bis(Zn-porphyrin)ethynyl-tpy](2)(PF(6))(2), β(HRS) = 1040 × 10(-30) esu, ρ = 1.46) via structural motifs that possess intermediate values of the depolarization ratio. The chromophore design roadmap provided herein gives rise to octopolar supermolecules that feature by far the largest off-diagonal octopolar first hyperpolarizability tensor components ever reported, with the effectively octopolar Ru[4,4'-bis(Zn-porphyrin)ethynyl-tpy](2)(PF(6))(2) possessing a β(HRS) value at 1300 nm more than a factor of 3 larger than that determined for any chromophore having octopolar symmetry examined to date. Because NLO octopoles possess omnidirectional NLO responses while circumventing the electrostatic interactions that drive bulk-phase centrosymmetry for NLO dipoles at high chromophore concentrations, the advent of octopolar NLO chromophores having vastly superior β(HRS) values at technologically important wavelengths will motivate new experimental approaches to achieve acentric order in both bulk-phase and thin film structures.  相似文献

The dynamical oxidation processes of Pt-skin layers on Pt(3)Co were investigated in situ and in real-time by time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy combined with electrochemical measurements. Growth limit behaviors and the suppression of higher-order formation of surface oxides were observed, and these might explain the highly durable nature of Pt-skin layers.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the finite difference semi-discretization of the Allen-Cahn equation with the diffuse interface parameter $\varepsilon$. While it is natural to make the mesh size parameter $h$ smaller than $\varepsilon$, it is desirable that $h$ is as big as possible in view of computational costs. In fact, when $h$ is bigger than $\varepsilon$ (i.e., the mesh is relatively coarse), it is observed that the numerical solution does not move at all. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the mechanism of this phenomenon. We will prove that the numerical solution converges to that of the ordinary equation without the diffusion term if $h$ is bigger than $\varepsilon$. Numerical examples are presented to support the result.  相似文献

Abstract  

A EuIII cryptate complex constructed from a CuII cryptand with an L tBu ligand, [EuIIICu2II(L tBu)2(NO3)3(MeOH)], and the corresponding CaII and NaI cryptates, [CaIICu2II(L tBu)2(NO3)2(MeOH)2] and [NaICu2II(L tBu)2(Me2CO)](BPh4), have been synthesized and characterized in order to shed light on the essential role of CuII in the luminescence of a EuIII cryptate. The unprecedented role of a CuII cryptand makes it possible to produce lanthanide luminescence in a EuIII cryptate complex and is successfully elucidated by comparison with the corresponding CaII and NaI cryptates.  相似文献
