The nanostructured thin NiO films with the thicknesses of 30–180 nm were examined as a sensing electrode (SE) for the planar mixed-potential-type yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ)-based NO2 sensor. The sensing characteristics were examined in the temperature range of 600–800 °C under the wet condition (5 vol.% water vapor). Among the NiO-SEs tested, the 60 nm-thick NiO-SE sintered at 1,000 °C was found to give the highest NO2 sensitivity in the NO2 concentration range of 50–400 ppm accompanying with fast response/recovery at the operating temperatures of 600–700 °C. The high NO2 sensitivity was attributed to the high catalytic activity for both electrochemical reactions of O2 and NO2 at the interface of NiO-SE/YSZ. The ultrathin gold layer with the thickness of about 60 nm was additionally formed on the 60 nm-thick NiO-SE to fabricate the laminated-type (60 nm NiO/60 nm Au)-SE. It was demonstrated that the use of this laminated (NiO–Au)-SE improved both the sensitivity and the selectivity to NO2.  相似文献

The applicability of the edge-defined film-fed growth (EFG) technique for YbxY(1−x)VO4 (x=0.05, 0.1 and 1) was approved by successful growth of crystals up to 80 mm in length as the thin plates. Low-angle grain boundaries and the crystal coloration as main defects were found. Optimal seed orientation was suggested on the strength of vanadate crystal plate morphology. Optical properties, chemical composition and the crystalline quality were investigated.  相似文献

A new approach is proposed to explain the strong difference between the induction periods (nucleation time-lags) obtained from nucleation rate measurements and from crystal growth experiments for lithium silicate glasses; and their similar magnitude for a Na2O · 2CaO · 3SiO2 glass. For these two glass families, the time-lags for nucleation estimated from crystal growth kinetics were compared with those directly obtained from nucleation experiments. A theoretical analysis was performed employing analytical solutions of the Frenkel-Zeldovich equation. In such analysis, the frequently assumed condition of size-independence of the thermodynamic properties of the crystallites was used. Provided this assumption is correct, time-lag data obtained in the two above mentioned ways should coincide. Consequently the significant difference between the values of nucleation time-lag for lithium silicate glasses from nucleation and growth data gives a strong indirect evidence for the deviation of the properties of critical nuclei from the respective parameters characterizing the state of the newly evolving macrophase. For Na2O · 2CaO · 3SiO2 glass at intermediate stages of crystallization we show that the average composition of the growing crystals is close to that of the near-critical nuclei. The fact that the nucleation and growth rates of this soda-lime-silica glass refer to the same phase provides an explanation for the similarity of the induction periods estimated from nucleation and growth experiments.  相似文献

The complexation of betulinic and betulonic acids (BIA and BOA) (pentacyclic lupane triterpenoids) with (2‐hydroxypropyl)‐γ‐cyclodextrin (HP‐γ‐CD) was studied at different temperatures using the method combining phase‐solubility technique and CZE. In contrast to mobility shift ACE utilizing the electrophoretic mobility, in this approach, the peak areas are used. The apparent binding (stability, formation) constants are obtained by the Higuchi and Connors method from the linear segment of compound solubility diagrams in CD solutions. It was found that the apparent binding constants of the HP‐γ‐CD complexes of BIA and BOA decrease with increasing temperature. The binding constants of BOA complexes are slightly higher than those of BIA complexes; this can be explained by difference in the hydration degrees of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups. On the basis of the binding constants obtained and their temperature dependences (van't Hoff plot), the enthalpy as well as entropy changes and Gibbs free energies were calculated. It was found that the complexation was characterized by negative changes of enthalpy and entropy, that is, it was controlled by enthalpy changes. The results obtained can be used for the optimization of microcapsulation processes of BOA and BIA with the HP‐γ‐CD application in order to increase solubility and bioavailability of these compounds.  相似文献
