Recent experimental results for the viscosity of liquid CdTe exhibit disparate behavior as a function of temperature. While some measurements show the expected Arrhenius-type behavior, other measurements show an anomalous temperature dependence indicating an increase in viscosity with increasing temperature. We present ab initio molecular-dynamics simulations of liquid cadmium telluride near its melting point and use the Stokes-Einstein relation to extract values of the viscosity constant. We find no anomalous behavior; the viscosity decreases monotonically with temperature and is consistent with an Arrhenius like behavior. Although calculated values are slightly smaller than those measured, the predicted activation energy agrees well with experiment. 相似文献

Summary Using the X-ray crystal structure of the human topoisomerase I (top1) – DNA cleavable complex and the Sybyl software package, we have developed a general model for the ternary cleavable complex formed with four protoberberine alkaloids differing in the substitution on the terminal phenyl rings and covering a broad range of the top1-poisoning activities. This model has the drug intercalated with its planar chromophore between the −1 and +1 base pairs flanking the cleavage site, with the nonplanar portion pointing into the minor groove. The ternary complexes were geometry-optimized and relative interaction energies, computed by using the Tripos force field, were found to rank in correct order the biological potency of the compounds; in addition, the model is also consistent with the top1-poisoning inactivity of berberine, a major prototype of the protoberberine alkaloids. The model might serve as a rational basis for elaboration of the most active compound as a lead structure, in order to develop more potent top1 poisons as next generation anti-cancer drugs. 相似文献

The morphology of a cationic polymer of high molecular weight, poly[2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl(trimethyl)ammoniumchloride], adsorbed on to a mica surface in water was observed in situ using the tapping mode of an atomic force microscope with a high-resolution probe. It was found that the morphology of adsorbed polymers changes with time to be lumplike, floclike, and then fibril-like and that it takes surprisingly a long time for the polymers to relax completely in water, even though they are highly charged. The preparation of an 1,3-alternate calix[4]arene phosphorus ligand, 25,27-bis(2-(diphenylphosphino)ethoxy)-26,28-bis(1-propyloxy)calix[4]arene (3), is presented. Ligand 3 is obtained in three steps in 64% overall yield. Reaction of 3 with [Rh(cot)2]BF4 produced the encapsulated rhodium complex [Rh[(P,P)-diphen-calix[4]arene]]BF4 (4). As revealed by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study, the rhodium center has a bent coordination environment with a P-Rh-P angle of 135.66(3) degrees. Palladation of 3 employing [Pd(MeCN)4](BF4)2 yielded the chelate palladium complex 7 in which the palladium center has a slightly bent configuration. Treatment of the ligand with Pd(cod)Cl2 and [Pd(eta3-C4H7)(THF)2]BF4 leads to the isolation of the monometallic complex. The equilibrium structure, stability, and electronic properties of the Al(13)X (X=H,Au,Li,Na,K,Rb,Cs) clusters have been studied using a combination of photoelectron spectroscopy experiment and density functional theory. All these clusters constitute 40 electron systems with 39 electrons contributed by the 13 Al atoms and 1 electron contributed by each of the X (X=H,Au,Li,Na,K,Rb,Cs) atom. A systematic study allows us to investigate whether all electrons contributed by the X atoms are alike and whether the structure, stability, and properties of all the magic clusters are similar. Furthermore, quantitative agreement between the calculated and the measured electron affinities and vertical detachment energies enable us to identify the ground state geometries of these clusters both in neutral and anionic configurations. 相似文献

Optically pure (+)-calvine, (+)-2-epicalvine, (2S,6S)-(6-pentylpiperidin-2-yl)acetic acid methyl ester and (2R,6S)-(6-pentylpiperidin-2-yl)acetic acid methyl ester, four piperidine alkaloids isolated from ladybird beetles of the genus Calvia (Coccinellidae), were synthesised from a common precursor using cyclisative Pd(II)/Cu(II)-catalysed carboamination-(methoxy)carbonylation tandem reaction of alkenylamines as a key step. We report a method for the quantitative analysis of human serum leptin, which is a protein hormone associated with obesity, using a nanoarray protein chip based on a single-molecule sandwich immunoassay. The nanoarray patterning of a biotin-probe with a spot diameter of 150 nm on a self-assembled monolayer functionalized by MPTMS on a glass substrate was successfully accomplished using atomic force microscopy (AFM)-based dip-pen nanolithography (DPN). Unlabeled leptin protein molecules in human serum were detected based on the sandwich fluorescence immunoassay by total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (TIRFM). The linear regression equation for leptin in the range of 100 zM-400 aM was determined to be y = 456.35x + 80,382 (R = 0.9901). The accuracy and sensitivity of the chip assay were clinically validated by comparing the leptin level in adult serum obtained by this method with those measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) performed with the same leptin standards and serum samples. In contrast to conventional ELISA techniques, the proposed chip methodology exhibited the advantages of ultra-sensitivity, a smaller sample volume and faster analysis time. 相似文献

sites of the Keum River area in Korea were also determined to compare the regional characteristics with the Chinese desert
area. The specific activities (SA) and the specific activity ratios (SAR) of the radionuclides were investigated for distinguishing
