A non-local, separable potential which matches the phase shifts up to 320 MeV and gives saturation for nuclear matter in the first order at a Fermi-momentum ofk F =1.6 f?1 with an energy per particle of ?8 MeV has been constructed byTabakin. We have employed this potential for calculations of finite nuclei using the Fermi-gas-model. The binding energy has been minimalized with respect to two parametersb andc (the surface-thickness and the radius of the nucleus). However the calculations show that an arbitrarily sharp surface is possible.  相似文献

We prove that the extremal process of branching Brownian motion, in the limit of large times, converges weakly to a cluster point process. The limiting process is a (randomly shifted) Poisson cluster process, where the positions of the clusters is a Poisson process with intensity measure with exponential density. The law of the individual clusters is characterized as branching Brownian motions conditioned to perform “unusually large displacements”, and its existence is proved. The proof combines three main ingredients. First, the results of Bramson on the convergence of solutions of the Kolmogorov–Petrovsky–Piscounov equation with general initial conditions to standing waves. Second, the integral representations of such waves as first obtained by Lalley and Sellke in the case of Heaviside initial conditions. Third, a proper identification of the tail of the extremal process with an auxiliary process (based on the work of Chauvin and Rouault), which fully captures the large time asymptotics of the extremal process. The analysis through the auxiliary process is a rigorous formulation of the cavity method developed in the study of mean field spin glasses.  相似文献

Three-state conical intersections have been located and characterized for cytosine and its analog 5-methyl-2-pyrimidinone using multireference configuration-interaction ab initio methods. The potential energy surfaces for each base contain three different three-state intersections: two different S(0)-S(1)-S(2) intersections (gs/pi pi(*)/n(N)pi(*) and gs/pi pi(*)/n(O)pi(*)) and an S(1)-S(2)-S(3) intersection (pi pi(*)/n(N)pi(*)/n(O)pi(*)). Two-state seam paths from these intersections are shown to be connected to previously reported two-state conical intersections. Nonadiabatic coupling terms have been calculated, and the effects of the proximal third state on these quantities are detailed. In particular, it is shown that when one of these loops incorporates more than one seam point, there is a profound and predictable effect on the phase of the nonadiabatic coupling terms, and as such provides a diagnostic for the presence and location of additional seams. In addition, it is shown that each of the three three-state conical intersections located on cytosine and 5-methyl-2-pyrimidinone is qualitatively similar between the two bases in terms of energies and character, implying that, like with the stationary points and two-state conical intersections previously reported for these two bases, there is an underlying pattern of energy surfaces for 2-pyrimidinone bases, in general, and this pattern also includes three-state conical intersections.  相似文献

We study the spin glass system consisting of a Random Energy Model coupled with a random magnetic field. This system was investigated by de Oliveira Filho et al. (Phys Rev E 74:031117, 2006) who computed the free energy. In this paper, we recover their result rigorously using elementary large deviations arguments and a conditional second moment method. Our analysis extends at the level of fluctuations of the ground states. In particular, we prove that the joint distribution of the minimal energies has the law of a Poisson process with exponential density after a recentering, which is random as opposed to the standard REM. One consequence is that the Gibbs measure of the model exhibits a one-step replica symmetry breaking as argued by de Oliveira Filho et al. using the replica method.  相似文献

Assessment of three regularization-based and two eddy-viscosity-based subgrid-scale (SGS) turbulence models for large eddy simulations (LES) are carried out in the context of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) decaying homogeneous turbulence (DHT) with a Taylor scale Reynolds number (Reλ) of 120 and a MHD transition-to-turbulence Taylor-Green vortex (TGV) problems with a Reynolds number of 3000, through direct comparisons to direct numerical simulations (DNS). Simulations are conducted using the low-magnetic Reynolds number approximation (Rem<<1). LES predictions using the regularization-based Leray- α,LANS- α, and Clark- α SGS models, along with the eddy viscosity-based non-dynamic Smagorinsky and the dynamic Smagorinsky models are compared to in-house DNS for DHT and previous results for TGV. With regard to the regularization models, this work represents their first application to MHD turbulence. Analyses of turbulent kinetic energy decay rates, energy spectra, and vorticity fields made between the varying magnetic field cases demonstrated that the regularization models performed poorly compared to the eddy-viscosity models for all MHD cases, but the comparisons improved with increase in magnitude of magnetic field, due to a decrease in the population of SGS eddies within the flow field.  相似文献

Two experiments are described in which listeners judge the apparent directions of virtual sound sources-headphone-presented sounds that are processed in order to simulate free-field sounds. Previous results suggest that when the cues to sound direction are preserved by the simulation, the apparent directions of virtual sources are nearly the same as the apparent directions of real free-field sources. In the experiments reported here, the interaural phase relations in the processing algorithms are manipulated in order to produce stimuli in which the interaural time difference cues signal one direction and interaural intensity and pinna cues signal another direction. The apparent directions of these conflicting cue stimuli almost always follow the interaural time cue, as long as the wideband stimuli include low frequencies. With low frequencies removed from the stimuli, the dominance of interaural time difference disappears, and apparent direction is determined primarily by interaural intensity difference and pinna cues.  相似文献

Free-field to eardrum transfer functions (HRTFs) were measured from both ears of 10 subjects with sound sources at 265 different positions. A principal components analysis of the resulting 5300 HRTF magnitude functions revealed that the HRTFs can be modeled as a linear combination of five basic spectral shapes (basis functions), and that this representation accounts for approximately 90% of the variance in the original HRTF magnitude functions. HRTF phase was modeled by assuming that HRTFs are minimum-phase functions and that interaural phase differences can be approximated by a simple time delay. Subjects' judgments of the apparent directions of headphone-presented sounds that had been synthesized from the modeled HRTFs were nearly identical to their judgments of sounds synthesized from measured HRTFs. With fewer than five basis functions used in the model, a less faithful reconstruction of the HRTF was produced, and the frequency of large localization errors increased dramatically.  相似文献
