Inclusion complex formation between β-cyclodextrin and Naproxen was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) as a function of the β-cyclodextrin-to-Naproxen molar ratio, ranging from 0:5:1 to 5:1. When these mixtures are heated above the melting temperature of Naproxen, an exothermic peak is observed at a temperature slightly higher than the melting peak of Naproxen. This peak, which has not been previously reported, has been interpreted as an exothermic energy of inclusion complex formation. The magnitude of this complex formation peak was found to be dependent upon the composition of the β-cyclodextrin and Naproxen mixture and increased in magnitude to a maximum value at a β-cyclodextrin:Naproxen molar ratio of 2:1. In addition, Naproxen recrystallization and re-melting peaks seen in the cooling and re-heating scans, respectively, decreased in magnitude with increasing molar ratio and totally disappeared for the mixture with 5:1 of β-cyclodextrin to Naproxen ratio indicative of complete inclusion of Naproxen in the cyclodextrin cavities. Complete inclusion was further reflected by the disappearance of key Naproxen peaks in Fourier transform infrared spectra of samples recovered from DSC experiments. The large excess of β-cyclodextrin needed to fully complex the Naproxen was found to be due to slow kinetics. Increasing the hold time after the initial melting led to inclusion efficiencies up to 95 % even for the 2:1 mixture. These experiments suggest that ratios of β-cyclodextrin:Naproxen 2:1 or greater facilitate the process by increasing the presence of cyclodextrin molecules in the close proximity of the drug molecules and lead to high inclusion efficiencies.  相似文献

A series of novel 1‐methyl‐3‐(4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)‐1H‐indazoles was synthesized in three steps from 5‐(1‐methyl‐1H‐indazol‐3‐yl)‐4‐phenyl‐2H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3(4H)‐thiones. 5‐(1‐Methyl‐1H‐indazol‐3‐yl)‐4‐phenyl‐2H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3(4H)‐thiones were converted into 1‐methyl‐3‐(5‐(methylsulfonyl)‐4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)‐1H‐indazoles upon methylation followed by treatment with aq. KMnO4. The reaction of 1‐methyl‐3‐(5‐(methylsulfonyl)‐4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)‐1H‐indazoles with Raney nickel resulted in desulphonylation to afford corresponding 1‐methyl‐3‐(4‐phenyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)‐1H‐indazoles. The synthesis of a new series of P-heterocyclic compounds, substituted 2-aminomethyl-2-oxo-2λ5-perhydro-[1,3,2]oxazaphospholo[3,4-a]pyridine derivatives 8(a-j), was accomplished. A key intermediate, 2-(chloromethyl)-2-oxo-2λ5-perhydro-[1,3,2]oxazaphospholo[3,4-a]pyridine (6) was primarily synthesized by the condensation of (±)-2-piperidinemethanol (4) and chloromethylphosphonic dichloride (5); subsequently, it was treated with various heterocyclic amines/benzylamines/aminoacid esters, 7(a-j) to obtain the desired products. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were elucidated by 1H, 13C, and 31P NMR spectroscopy, mass spectra and elemental analyses. The biological potency of title products was investigated by screening in vitro antimicrobial activity. The bio-screening data revealed that most of the synthesized derivatives showed potent growth of inhibition against fungi while compared with bacteria. Particularly, compounds 8c and 8i against bacterial strains, and 8a and 8f against fungi exhibited promising activity.  相似文献

Reaction between hydrazine derivative ligands (HrzE) or (HrzB) and chromium salt in 1:2 (metal:ligand) molar ratio yielded monometallic trivalent coordination compounds with general formula [Cr(HrzE)2X2]X and [Cr(HrzB)2X2]X, where (HrzE) = hydrazine carboxylic acid ethyl ester, (HrzB) = hydrazine carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester, and X = Cl?, Br? or F?. Elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, magnetic moment measurements, and various spectroscopic techniques, viz. infrared, ultraviolet–visible, and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, were applied to illustrate the structure and composition of the coordination compounds. Analytic and conductivity results were consistent with 1:1 electrolytic behavior and the proposed formulas of the coordination compounds. Electronic absorption data and magnetic moment parameters indicated octahedral geometry surrounding the metal ion in the coordination compounds. The in vitro antimicrobial behavior of the ligands and coordination compounds was screened using four bacterial strains (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi) and two fungal strains (Candida parapsilosis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae). The results indicated improved activity of the coordination compounds compared with the free ligands against the studied bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

Summary Several new complexes of Sb(III) and Bi(III) with thiosemicarbazones of furfuraldehyde, thiophene-2-carbaldehyde, indol-3-carbaldehyde and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity, molecular weight determination and IR,1H-and13C-NMR spectral studies. The ligands form complexes of the typeMX 3 L[M=Sb(III) or Bi(III);X=chloride;L=ligand] which are found to be non-electrolytes inDMF. Spectral data indicate that the thiosemicarbazones act as bidentate ligands through the azomethine nitrogen and sulphur.

Zusammenfassung Es wurden einige neue Komplexe von Sb(III) und Bi(III) mit Tiosemicarbazonen von Furfural, Thiophen-2-carbaldehyd, Indol-3-carbaldehyd und Pyridin-2-carbaldehyd hergestellt und mittels Elementaranalyse, Leitfähigkeitsmessungen, Molekulargewichtsbestimmungen und IR-,1H- bzw.13C-NMR-Spektroskopie charakterisiert. Die Komplexe sind vom TypMX 3 L[M=Sb(III) oder Bi(III);X=Chlorid;L=Ligand] und sind inDMF Nichtelektrolyten. Die spektroskopischen Daten zeigen, daß die Thiosemicarbazone als zweizähnige Liganden über den Azomethin-Stickstoff und Schwefel wirken.

The following is a conjecture of Ulam: In any partition of the integer lattice on the plane into uniformly bounded sets, there exists a set that is adjacent to at least six other sets. Two sets are adjacent if each contain a vertex of the same unit square. This problem is generalized as follows. Given any uniformly bounded partitionP of the vertex set of an infinite graphG with finite maximum degree, letP (G) denote the graph obtained by letting each set of the partition be a vertex ofP (G) where two vertices ofP (G) are adjacent if and only if the corresponding sets have an edge between them. The Ulam number ofG is defined as the minimum of the maximum degree ofP (G) where the minimum is taken over all uniformly bounded partitionsP. We have characterized the graphs with Ulam number 0, 1, and 2. Restricting the partitions of the vertex set to connected subsets, we obtain the connected Ulam number ofG. We have evaluated the connected Ulam numbers for several infinite graphs. For instance we have shown that the connected Ulam number is 4 ifG is an infinite grid graph. We have settled the Ulam conjecture for the connected case by proving that the connected Ulam number is 6 for an infinite triangular grid graph. The general Ulam conjecture is equivalent to proving that the Ulam number of the infinite triangular grid graph equals 6. We also describe some interesting geometric consequences of the Ulam number, mainly concerning good drawings of infinite graphs.  相似文献
