Helicity-dependent total photoabsorption cross sections on the deuteron have been measured for the first time at ELSA (Bonn) in the photon energy range from 815 to 1825 MeV. Circularly polarized tagged photons impinging on a longitudinally polarized LiD target have been used together with a highly efficient 4pi detector system. The data around 1 GeV are not compatible with predictions from existing multipole analyses. From the measured energy range an experimental contribution to the GDH integral on the neutron of [33.9 +/- 5.5(stat) +/- 4.5(syst)] microb is extracted. 相似文献

A solid phase assay for radiolabeled antibody synthesizedde novo in vitro has been described (1). The solid phase consists of antigen covalently bound to bromacetyl cellulose, a useful but difficult to prepare immunoadsorbent. Herein, we describe the preparation of polyamide resin immunoadsorbent and the procedure for coupling antigen to the polymer. Data are presented that show that polyamide resin-Ag? conjugates can replace bromacetyl cellulose-Ag conjugates. The usefulness of this easily prepared and inexpensive immunoadsorbent is discussed. 相似文献

The helicity dependence of the gamma-->p-->-->ppi(0) reaction has been measured for the first time in the photon-energy range from 550 to 790 MeV. The experiment, performed at the Mainz microtron MAMI, used a 4pi-detector system, a circularly polarized, tagged photon beam, and a longitudinally polarized frozen-spin target. Magnetic resonance absorption lineshapes can have subtle dependencies on the model parameters that specify the lineshape. To quantify how the model parameters influence the lineshape, it is useful to study simple model systems for which analytical expressions are available. We propose that information theory is a useful tool to quantify how well model parameters may be inferred from a noisy signal. Information theory also allows us to assess the importance of missing parameters from an incomplete model. We do this by monitoring the magnitude of a partition function determined from a suitably defined probability mass function as the model parameters are varied. The optimum parameter set makes the partition function a maximum, which establishes a computable criterion for determining the best model parameter set. Given the availability of a partition function, one may define thermodynamic functions such as the entropy. The optimum parameter set in this interpretation corresponds to the state of maximum entropy. In this work, we observe that at sufficiently low signal to noise ratio, the entropy landscape has no clear maximum, while a related quantity, the Fisher information, always has a clear minimum at the optimum parameter set. The qualitative information we are able to gather from the entropy landscapes is also difficult to assess when the parameters are far from their optimum values, at least for the model system studied here. 相似文献

Model systems that evaluated different approaches to construct the central ether ring of maoecrystal V are described. Our first model systems attempted the ether formation using C–H functionalization reactions, which led to interesting rearrangements but none of the desired ether product. An intramolecular conjugate addition strategy was then explored that successfully formed the targeted C–O bond but resulted in the undesired stereochemistry. 相似文献
