Available in small print : Block copolymer lithography has great potential for reducing the size and fabrication time of integrated circuits. Hydrogen‐bonding‐mediated molecular recognition in self‐assembly processes can be used to produce highly ordered square arrays of block copolymers on the surface of a silicon substrate (see picture).

3‐Alkyl‐2,5‐bis[p‐(hexa‐2,4‐dienoyloxy)phenyl]‐thiophene derivatives were synthesized by using Kumada coupling and Suzuki coupling reactions as key steps. The thermotropic liquid crystalline behavior of these compounds was investigated by optical polarized microscopy, monotropic nematic mesophases were observed in such compounds.  相似文献

The optical transient and kinetics characterizations of the transients formed in the reaction of OH with benzotrifluoride (BTF) were performed by a laser flash photolysis technique. The results indicated that the formation of π‐type adduct of C6H5(OH)CF3 was the major reaction channel, and the δ‐type adduct of C6H5CF3OH formation was an additional minor process in the oxidation reaction of BTF attacked by OH radicals yielded from the photolysis of H2O2. Addition of OH to the CF3 group led to the fluoride ion elimination to yield α,α‐difluorophenylcarbinol (C6H5CF2OH). Trifluoromethylphenol (HOC6H4CF3) of meta‐, para‐ and ortho‐substituted isomers resulted from the addition of OH to the BTF aromatic ring.  相似文献

Tricyclic basic dyes (proflavine, acridine orange, pyronine, pyronine Y, oxonine, thionine and methylene blue) often form one‐to‐one or two‐to‐one complexes with CB[7] and CB[8], respectively. In the case of pyronine Y, the complexes with CB[7] and CB[8] have a one‐to‐one and three‐to‐one stoichiometry, respectively. The binding constants for CB[7] complexes range from 3.07×106 to 1.70×107 m ?1. In the case of CB[8], the association constant varies between 3.24×1013 and 2.50×1016 m ?2. Overall, these binding constants are four orders of magnitude higher than those reported for the same dyes in β and γ‐cyclodextrins. Formation of the host–guest complexes leads to an increase in the fluorescence quantum yields in the case of CB[7], while the dimeric or trimeric dye encapsulated in CB[8] are remarkably less fluorescent than the same dye in diluted solutions.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Stability and electronic property calculations are performed systematically based on density functional theory at the B3LYP/6‐31G(d) level for Td C28 fullerene and exohedral fluorine and trifluoromethyl derivatives C28F4–n(CF3)n (n = 0,1,2,3,4). All the exohedral derivatives that are on the potential energy surfaces are kinetically stable with large HOMO‐LUMO gaps. Further investigations show that binding energies of C28F4–n(CF3)n (n = 0,1,2,3,4) molecules are positive, suggesting they are thermodynamically stable. An analysis of the π‐orbital axis vector indicates the high strain in Td C28 cage could be greatly released by fluorine and trifluoromethyl decorations. Mulliken charge analysis reveals that adding different electron groups to the Td C28 cage can cause remarkably different charge populations. In addition, from the ionization potential and electron affinity investigations, the C28F4–n(CF3)n (n = 0,1,2,3,4) molecules manifest weak redox properties. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three inorganic‐organic hybrid frameworks [Mn(HIMDC)(4,4′‐bipyo)0.5(H2O)]n (1) , [Cd(H2IMDC)2(2,2′‐bipyo)] (2) and [Ca(HIMDC)(H2O)2·H2O]n (3) (H3IMDC = 4,5‐imidazoledicarboxylate; 4,4′‐bipyo = 4,4′‐bipyridine‐N,N′‐dioxide; 2,2′‐bipyo= 2,2′‐bipyridine‐N,N′‐dioxide) have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by the elemental analyses, IR spectra, TG analysis and the single crystal diffraction. Both compounds 1 and 3 exhibit 2D layers while 2 is a monomer. It is noteworthy that compound 2 exhibits strong fluorescent emission in the solid state at room temperature.  相似文献

We here report glycosyl sulfoxides appended with an aryl iodide moiety as readily available, air and moisture stable precursors to glycosyl radicals. These glycosyl sulfoxides could be converted to glycosyl radicals by way of a rapid and efficient intramolecular radical substitution event. The use of this type of precursors enabled the synthesis of various complex C‐linked glycoconjugates under mild conditions. This reaction could be performed in aqueous media and is amenable to the synthesis of glycopeptidomimetics and carbohydrate‐DNA conjugates.  相似文献

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) broadly regulate normal biological functions of bone and the progression of fracture healing and osteoporosis. Recently, it has been reported that miR-1224-5p in fracture plasma is a potential therapy for osteogenesis. To investigate the roles of miR-1224-5p and the Rap1 signaling pathway in fracture healing and osteoporosis development and progression, we used BMMs, BMSCs, and skull osteoblast precursor cells for in vitro osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis studies. Osteoblastogenesis and osteoclastogenesis were detected by ALP, ARS, and TRAP staining and bone slice resorption pit assays. The miR-1224-5p target gene was assessed by siRNA-mediated target gene knockdown and luciferase reporter assays. To explore the Rap1 pathway, we performed high-throughput sequencing, western blotting, RT-PCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation assays and immunohistochemical staining. In vivo, bone healing was judged by the cortical femoral defect, cranial bone defect and femoral fracture models. Progression of osteoporosis was evaluated by an ovariectomy model and an aged osteoporosis model. We discovered that the expression of miR-1224-5p was positively correlated with fracture healing progression. Moreover, in vitro, overexpression of miR-1224-5p slowed Rankl-induced osteoclast differentiation and promoted osteoblast differentiation via the Rap1-signaling pathway by targeting ADCY2. In addition, in vivo overexpression of miR-1224-5p significantly promoted fracture healing and ameliorated the progression of osteoporosis caused by estrogen deficiency or aging. Furthermore, knockdown of miRNA-1224-5p inhibited bone regeneration in mice and accelerated the progression of osteoporosis in elderly mice. Taken together, these results identify miR-1224-5p as a key bone osteogenic regulator, which may be a potential therapeutic target for osteoporosis and fracture nonunion.Subject terms: Translational research, Cell signalling  相似文献

In this study, a facultative bacterium that converts fumarate to succinate at a high yield was isolated. The yield of biocon version was enhanced about 1.2 times by addition of glucose into culture medium at an initial concentration of 6 g/L. When the initial cell density was high (2 g/L), the succinate produced at pH 7.0 for initial fumarate concentrations of 30, 50, 80, and 100 g/L were 29.3, 40.9, 63.6, and 82.5 g/L, respectively, showing an increase with the initial fumarate concentration. The high yield of 96.8%/mole of fumarate in just 4 h was obtained at the initial fumarate concentration of 30 g/L. Comparing these values to those obtained with low cell culture (0.2 g/L), we found that the amount of succinate produced was similar, but the production rate in the high cell culture was about three times higher than was the case in the low cell culture. This strain converted fumarate to succinate at a rate of 3.5 g/L·h under the sparge of CO2.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] The efficient addition of bis(pinacolato)diboron to alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds with a copper-diphosphine catalyst has been carried out. A dramatic rate acceleration of the reaction was realized by adding alcohol additives. With use of this procedure, a variety of alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds including conjugated substrates at the acid oxidation level such as esters and nitriles were reacted to give to the corresponding beta-boryl carbonyl compounds in high yields.  相似文献
