Two crystal modifications of [PdEn(NO2)2]. Synthesis,structure, and thermal properties

The crystal structure of two modifications of [PdEn(NO₂)₂] is determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The geometric characteristics of the complexes and the motifs of their mutual arrangement in the structures are compared. The thermal properties in different gaseous atmospheres are studied.     

Refinement of the (NH4)2Na[Rh(NO2)6] Crystal Structure

The crystal structure of (NH₄)₂Na[Rh(NO₂)₆] previously studied only from the data on polycrystals is refined. The selection of the Fm-3 space group is shown to be unambiguous. Geometrical characteristics of the complex [Rh(NO₂)₆]^3s-anion are: Rh—N 2.051 ?, N-O 1.237 ?, ∠O-N-O 119.0°.     

Structure and Thermal Properties of [Rh(NH3)5Cl](WO4)x(MoO4)1s-x (x = 0, 0.5, 1)

The isostructurality of [Rh(NH₃)₅Cl](WO₄) _x (MoO₄)_1s-x (x = 0, 0.5, 1) complex salts is shown, and their thermal properties are compared. In a hydrogen atmosphere, transformations begin at T ∼ 200°C. According to the powder XRD data, the phase composition of the end products is markedly different. For the Rh—Mo system, the dependence (V/Z) of the atomic volume on the composition is presented. The thermal decomposition product [Rh(NH₃)₅Cl](MoO₄) (T _fin = 800°C) is shown to be the disordered Mo_0.5Rh_0.5 solid solution (a = 2.757(2) ?, c = 4.428(4) ?, P6₃/mmc space group).     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure Investigation of Trinitrotriamminerhodium(III) [Rh(NO2)3(NH3)3]

Synthesis of the complex [Rh(NO₂)₃(NH₃)₃] is described. The compound crystallizes as monoclinic colorless plates. Crystal data: a = 7.176(10), b = 10.407(2), c = 10.989(2) , = 93.27°, V = 819.3(2) ³, space group , Z = 4, d _calc = 2.367 g/cm³. The structure is molecular and built of neutral complexes having cis-facial configuration. The unit cell of the crystal contains two independent complexes.     

[M(NH3)5Cl]WO4 (M = Cr, Rh): Synthesis, crystal structure, thermal properties

By single crystal X-ray diffraction the crystal structure of a series of [M(NH₃)₅Cl]WO₄ (M = Cr, Rh) complex salts is determined. The features of thermal expansion of the single crystal of [Cr(NH₃)₅Cl]WO₄ are studied by low- and high-temperature X-ray diffractometry in the temperature range from ?173°C to +127°C. It is shown that with an increase in the temperature, W-O distances and ∠O-W-O bond angles equalize and the average W-O distances decrease by 0.012 Å. The thermal properties of the salts in different gaseous atmospheres are examined and the phase composition of the obtained products is studied.     

Two crystalline modifications of Pd<Subscript>2</Subscript>(μ-ac)<Subscript>2</Subscript>(acac)<Subscript>2</Subscript>

Crystal structures of two modifications of a binuclear Pd₂(μ-ac)₂(acac)₂ complex are studied at 150 K and 297 K (ac = acetate; acac = acetylacetonate). It is demonstrated that in both cases, the packing of the complexes can be considered as pseudohexagonal, the molecules forming infinite chains by interactions between chelate rings with the shortest contacts Pd...C _γ ～ 3.3 Å.     

[Co(NH<Subscript>3</Subscript>)<Subscript>6</Subscript>](WO<Subscript>4</Subscript>)Cl: Synthesis,crystal structure,and thermal properties

The crystal structure of [Co(NH₃)₆](WO₄)Cl complex salt is determined by single crystal X-ray. The thermal properties are examined, and the products obtained on heating the salt in different gaseous atmospheres are analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction.
