Impaired skin nitric oxide production contributes to delayed wound healing in type 2 diabetes (T2D). This study aims to determine improved wound healing mechanisms by acidified nitrite (AN) in rats with T2D. Wistar rats were assigned to four subgroups: Untreated control, AN-treated control, untreated diabetes, and AN-treated diabetes. AN was applied daily from day 3 to day 28 after wounding. On days 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28, the wound levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were measured, and histological and stereological evaluations were performed. AN in diabetic rats increased the numerical density of basal cells (1070 ± 15.2 vs. 936.6 ± 37.5/mm3) and epidermal thickness (58.5 ± 3.5 vs. 44.3 ± 3.4 μm) (all p < 0.05); The dermis total volume and numerical density of fibroblasts at days 14, 21, and 28 were also higher (all p < 0.05). The VEGF levels were increased in the treated diabetic wounds at days 7 and 14, as was the total volume of fibrous tissue and hydroxyproline content at days 14 and 21 (all p < 0.05). AN improved diabetic wound healing by accelerating the dermis reconstruction, neovascularization, and collagen deposition.  相似文献

The McMurry coupling of a bis-salisaldehyde 3a with methyl linker as the smallest member of its alkyl series is known to give the remarkably lower yield of the corresponding stilbenophanes. The half part of this molecule, unlike bigger analogues, is a good leaving group which affordsthreo isomer of 4H, 4′H–4,4′-bibenzo[d][1,3]dioxine 4 in high diastereoisomeric ratio (99>). A further study showed that the formation of this key by-product is the reason for formation of other by-products, namely, 5a,10b-dihydrobenzofuro[2,3-b]benzofuran 9 and 2-(2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-yl)phenol 10. Two reaction pathways for the formation of by-products have been proposed which are responsible for the unusual activity of dialdehyde 3a.  相似文献

In this article a semi-analytical approach is employed to obtain dimensionless heat transfer correlations for forced convection from isothermal circular cylinders with active ends and different aspect ratios (l/d £ 8) (l/d \le 8) in laminar axial air flows. Then, using the present results and previous works, the modeling is extended to higher aspect ratios (l/d 3 8) (l/d \ge 8) ) as long as the entire flow field remains completely laminar. Validations of the present work are done not only with the available data on drag coefficients but with previous works for long cylinders with inactive ends and long spheroids. Two general correlations are also developed for a rough estimate of forced convection heat transfer from isothermal cylinders with active ends and arbitrary aspect ratios in the range of \frac12 £ \fracld £ 8 \frac{1}{2} \le \frac{l}{d} \le 8 and l/d 3 8 l/d \ge 8 .  相似文献

New spiro[indeno[1,2‐b]quinoxaline‐11,2′‐pyrrolidine] derivatives were prepared in high yield stereoselectively from an efficient multicomponent 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition reaction between ninhydrin, phenylenediamine, sarcosine, and chalcones. The regiochemistry and stereochemistry of resultant cycloadducts have been determined by several 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques and X‐ray single crystal diffraction. J. Using pressure-sensitive films, the normal stress distribution is measured in suspensions of glass spheres in a Newtonian liquid undergoing constant-force squeeze flow. At volume fractions of solids up to 0.55, the normal stress distribution is independent of volume fraction and almost identical to the parabolic pressure distribution predicted for Newtonian fluids. However, at higher volume fractions, the normal stresses become an order of magnitude larger near the center and very low beyond that region. At these high volume fractions, the normal stresses decrease in the outer regions and increase in the inner regions as the squeezing proceeds. The normal stress distribution that results when the glass spheres without any fluid are subjected to squeeze flow is very similar to that for suspensions with volume fractions above 0.55, suggesting that the cause for the drastic changes in the normal stress distribution is the jamming of the particles in the suspension.  相似文献

Replacement of some hydrophobic solvent‐exposed residues in Lampyris turkestanicus luciferase with arginine increases thermostability of this enzyme. Herein, thermodynamic and kinetic of unfolding reactions of wild type (WT), E354R/356R, E354R/356R‐I232R and E354R/356R‐Q35R/L182R/I232R variants, has been investigated. Fluorescence and Far‐UV circular dichroism measurements using urea as a chemical denaturant indicated that the value of for all variants is greater than that of WT enzyme. Analysis of m‐values, as a measure of difference in the solvent accessible surface area between the native and denatured states of protein, revealed that higher stability of mutants is related to their higher degree of compactness in the folded state. Results of unfolding kinetic experiments showed that all variants have three‐exponential behavior in which they unfolded with three rate constants and corresponding amplitudes. Increasing the rate constants of fast unfolding phase in mutants relative to WT protein may be attributed to more compactness and more kinetic sensitivity of their folded state to urea. However, more population of WT protein was unfolded from fast unfolding phase. Results of this investigation highlight kinetic stability of luciferase via a slow rate of unfolding.  相似文献

The catalytic, highly regio-, diastereo-, and enantioselective synthesis of a small library of chiral spirooxindolopyrrolizidines via a three-component 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of azomethine ylides, derived from isatin, with electron-deficient dipolarophiles, 3-(2-alkenoyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones, is described. A chiral copper(II) complex of cyclohexane-1,2-bis(arylmethyleneamine) catalyzed this process at room temperature. The reaction mechanism is discussed on the basis of the assignment of the absolute configuration of the cycloadducts.  相似文献

Poly(styrene) microgels are known, but the influence of tacticity on particle formation and behavior has not been investigated yet. Isotactic poly(styrene) (iPS) with Mn = 15–120 kg/mol is synthesized by coordinate polymerization and cross‐linked by Friedel–Crafts alkylation in a miniemulsion. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, light microscopy, cryogenic transmission electron microscopy, and wide‐angle powder diffraction are applied to understand the structure of microgels obtained. Typically, spherical microgels with overall diameter of 40–500 nm are found. Isotacticity of the polymer is retained during microgel formation.
