Based on recent studies of the temperature dependence of the energy and specific heat of liquid nuclear matter, a phase transition is suggested at a temperature ∼ 0.85 MeV. We apply the Landau-Ginzburg theory to this transition and determine the behaviour of the energy and specific heat close to the critical temperature in the condensed phase. Theoretical studies of the photoabsorption spectra of clusters (n =2-6, 13) have been carried out using a linear combination of atomic orbitals molecular-orbital approach within a density functional scheme and a first-order perturbation approach. An analysis of the electronic states based on an angular-momentum decomposition around the center of mass of the cluster has been used to label the various transitions. It is shown that the spectra change significantly with size and are sensitive to the geometrical arrangement. They can be used to identify the isomers. A representation theory for Lie groups is developed taking the Hilbert space, say , of the w*-algebra standard representation as the representation space. In this context the states describing physical systems are amplitude wave functions but closely connected with the notion of the density matrix. Then, based on symmetry properties, a general physical interpretation for the dual variables of thermal theories, in particular the thermofield dynamics (TFD) formalism, is introduced. The kinematic symmetries, Galilei and Poincaré, are studied and (density) amplitude matrix equations are derived for both of these cases. In the same context of group theory, the notion of phase space in quantum theory is analysed. Thus, in the non-relativistic situation, the concept of density amplitude is introduced, and as an example, a spin-half system is algebraically studied; Wigner function representations for the amplitude density matrices are derived and the connection of TFD and the usual Wigner-function methods are analysed. For the Poincaré symmetries the relativistic density matrix equations are studied for the scalar and spinorial fields. The relativistic phase space is built following the lines of the non-relativistic case. So, for the scalar field, the kinetic theory is introduced via the Klein–Gordon density-matrix equation, and a derivation of the Jüttiner distribution is presented as an example, thus making it possible to compare with the standard approaches. The analysis of the phase space for the Dirac field is carried out in connection with the dual spinor structure induced by the Dirac-field density-matrix equation, with the physical content relying on the symmetry groups. Gauge invariance is considered and, as a basic result, it is shown that the Heinz density operator (which has been used to develope a gauge covariant kinetic theory) is a particular solution for the (Klein–Gordon and Dirac) density-matrix equation.  相似文献

 The transition operator for the radiative capture of mesons by protons is constructed starting from a chiral Lagrangian of the system obtained within the approach of hidden local symmetries. The transition operator is gauge invariant and its hadron radiative part satisfies exactly two relevant continuity equations. An alternative approach is suggested to determine the spot-size of a multi-mode laser beam. It has been shown by simulations that the suggested approach can give the beam quality factor and characteristic radius with less than 5% error. Unlike the power content method, the proposed method is applicable to the beams even with diameter one tenth of the CCD size. The new approach has been applied to a multi-mode diode laser output and it is shown that the ABCD matrix analysis can be used for beam propagation, with the measured parameters of the laser.  相似文献

In this paper, we report our measurements of back-angle oxygen and carbon particle yields from 16O+89Y, 12C+93Nb reactions forming the same compound nucleus 105Ag at the same excitation energy and spin distribution. We find anomalously large oxygen yield and entrance channel dependence at high excitation energies from 16O+89Y reaction implying formation of a dinuclear orbiting complex. Possible connection between nuclear orbiting and fast fission is also discussed.  相似文献

Treatment of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)platinum with elemental selenium (red or vitreous) in toluene solution under reflux yields an insoluble solid. This dissolves in dichloromethane with reaction, eventually to form a 1 : 1 mixture of [PtCl2(PPh3)2] and the new compound [Pt(Se2CH2)(PPh3)2], which has been characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Under the same conditions, tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)-palladium yields only decomposition products. © John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
