In this paper, we consider the linear and circular consecutive k-out-of-n systems consisting of arbitrarily dependent components. Under the condition that at least n?r+1 components (rn) of the system are working at time t, we study the reliability properties of the residual lifetime of such systems. Also, we present some stochastic ordering properties of residual lifetime of consecutive k-out-of-n systems. In the following, we investigate the inactivity time of the component with lifetime Tr:n at the system level for the consecutive k-out-of-n systems under the condition that the system is not working at time t > 0, and obtain some stochastic properties of this conditional random variable.  相似文献

The aim of the paper is to propose a definition of numerical range of an operator on reflexive Banach spaces. Under this definition the numerical range will possess the basic properties of a canonical numerical range. We will determine necessary and sufficient conditions under which the numerical range of a composition operator on a weighted Hardy space is closed. We will also give some necessary conditions to show that when the closure of the numerical range of a composition operator on a small weighted Hardy space has zero.  相似文献

The well known Schröder–Bernstein Theorem states that any two sets with one to one maps into each other are isomorphic. The question of whether any two (subisomorphic or) direct summand subisomorphic algebraic structures are isomorphic, has long been of interest. Kaplansky asked whether direct summands subisomorphic abelian groups are always isomorphic? The question generated a great deal of interest. The study of this question for the general class of modules has been somewhat limited. We extend the study of this question for modules in this paper. We say that a module Msatisfies the Schröder–Bernstein property (S-B property) if any two direct summands of M which are subisomorphic to direct summands of each other, are isomorphic. We show that a large number of classes of modules satisfy the S-B property. These include the classes of quasi-continuous, directly finite, quasi-discrete and modules with ACC on direct summands. It is also shown that over a Noetherian ring R, every extending module satisfies the S-B property. Among applications, it is proved that the class of rings R for which every R-module satisfies the S-B property is precisely that of pure-semisimple rings. We show that over a commutative domain R, any two quasi-continuous subisomorphic R-modules are isomorphic if and only if R is a PID. We study other conditions related to the S-B property and obtain characterizations of certain classes of rings via those conditions. Examples which delimit and illustrate our results are provided.  相似文献

The solutions of axisymmetric Volterra type climb and glide edge dislocations are obtained in a layer by means of the Hankel transforms. Utilizing the same procedure, Green’s function solution is obtained for a layer under self-equilibration normal ring traction. The distributed dislocation technique is used to construct integral equations for a system of co-axial annular cracks where the layer is under axisymmetric normal loads. These equations are solved numerically to obtain dislocation density on the cracks surfaces. The results are employed to determine stress intensity factors for annular and penny-shaped cracks and the interaction between two co-axial penny-shaped cracks is studied. Moreover, the stress intensity factors of the interacting cracks are determined such that they can be further used in conjunction with strain energy density (SED) failure criterion to obtain the possible direction of crack initiation that may not be apparent under mixed mode conditions.  相似文献

The reaction of α‐keto‐stabilized diphosphine ylides [Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2═C(H)C(O)C6H4p‐CN] (n = 1 (Y1); n = 2 (Y2)) with dibromo(1,5‐cyclooctadiene) palladium(II)/platinum(II) complexes, [Pd/PtBr2(cod)], in equimolar ratio gave the new cyclometalated Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes [Br2Pd(κ2‐Y1)] ( 1 ), [Br2Pt(κ2‐Y1)] ( 2 ), [Br2Pd(κ2‐Y2)] ( 3 ) and [Br2Pt(κ2‐Y2)] ( 4 ). These compounds were screened in a search for novel antibacterial agents and characterized successfully using Fourier transfer infrared and NMR (1H, 13C and 31P) spectroscopic methods. Also, the structures of complexes 1 and 2 were characterized using X‐ray crystallography. The results showed that the P,C‐chelated complexes 1 and 2 have structures consisting of five‐membered rings, while 3 and 4 have six‐membered rings, formed by coordination of the ligand through the phosphine group and the ylidic carbon atom to the metal centre. Also, a theoretical study of the structures of complexes 1 – 4 was conducted at the BP86/def2‐SVP level of theory. The nature of metal–ligand bonds in the complexes was investigated using energy decomposition analyses (EDA) and extended transition state combined with natural orbitals for chemical valence analyses. The results of EDA confirmed that the main portions of ΔEint, about 57–58%, in the complexes are allocated to ΔEelstat.  相似文献

Serial crystallography, at both synchrotron and X‐ray free‐electron laser light sources, is becoming increasingly popular. However, the tools in the majority of crystallization laboratories are focused on producing large single crystals by vapour diffusion that fit the cryo‐cooled paradigm of modern synchrotron crystallography. This paper presents several case studies and some ideas and strategies on how to perform the conversion from a single crystal grown by vapour diffusion to the many thousands of micro‐crystals required for modern serial crystallography grown by batch crystallization. These case studies aim to show (i) how vapour diffusion conditions can be converted into batch by optimizing the length of time crystals take to appear; (ii) how an understanding of the crystallization phase diagram can act as a guide when designing batch crystallization protocols; and (iii) an accessible methodology when attempting to scale batch conditions to larger volumes. These methods are needed to minimize the sample preparation gap between standard rotation crystallography and dedicated serial laboratories, ultimately making serial crystallography more accessible to all crystallographers.  相似文献

The present study aims to modify a recently suggested implicit approach consisted of the approximate Euler method and closed-form exponential mapping (herein referred to as the Liu scheme) for the dynamic analysis of structures. Such modification has been developed based upon nonstandard rules. The equation of motion is formulated in the augmented dynamic space to apply the exponential mapping as a group preserving scheme. The formulation of the proposed method involves the hyperbolic sine and cosine functions. The method is therefore prone to divergence due to the behavior of the hyperbolic functions in structures with a high ratio of stiffness to mass. In the present study, to consider the properties of the structural equation into the formulation of the time step size and thereby avoid the divergence, a parameter, known as stability parameter, is thus derived from the exact solution of the equation of motion based on nonstandard rules. Embedding this parameter into the proposed method improves its stability. Afterward, for evaluating the performance of the proposed method, it is applied to several structures with different loading patterns while implemented in programing environment of the Matlab software. The results are compared to those of several commonly used numerical methods in structural applications. It is found that the proposed method has acceptable convergence and accuracy, and low time consumption compared to several commonly used methods. Furthermore, its stability is guaranteed by embedding the stability parameter into the proposed method.  相似文献

In practical situations, systems often suffer shocks from external stressing environments, stressing the system at random. These random shocks may have non‐ignorable effects on the system's reliability. In this paper, we provide sufficient (and necessary) conditions on components' lifetimes and their surviving probabilities from random shocks for comparing the lifetimes of two fail‐safe systems by means of the usual stochastic, hazard rate, and likelihood ratio orderings. Numerical examples are presented to highlight these theoretical results as well.  相似文献
