Graphene is a two-dimensional carbon material with a honeycomb lattice and Dirac-like low-energy excitations. When Zeeman and spin-orbit interactions are neglected, its Landau levels are fourfold degenerate, explaining the 4e2/h separation between quantized Hall conductivity values seen in recent experiments. In this Letter we derive a criterion for the occurrence of interaction-driven quantum Hall effects near intermediate integer values of e2/h due to charge gaps in broken symmetry states. 相似文献

In this paper we express the multiple Hecke L-function in terms of a linear combination of iterated period integrals associated with elliptic cusp forms, which is introduced by Manin around 2004. This expression generalizes the classical formula of Hecke L-function obtained by the Mellin transformation of a cusp form. Photoproduction of the neutral kaon on the deuteron has been investigated at the Research Center for Electron Photon Science, Tohoku University. We constructed the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer-2 for the detection of charged particles from the decay of the neutral kaon and the hyperon. We obtained a momentum distribution of K 0 with the inclusive measurement. It was consistent with the previous measurement. The total cross section of γ + d → K 0 + Λ + p was estimated from the measured integral cross section of γ + d → Λ + X. The total cross section with respect to the photon energy was compared with the theoretical calculations. It favored the Saclay-Lyon A model calculation with the ratio of the neutral to charged coupling constants of the axial-vector meson, K 1, as ~ ?1.5. The energy dependence and the magnitude of the total cross section were similar to the total cross section of γ + p → K + Λ. 相似文献

We have realized the microscopic simulation of olefin polymerization, that is, the simulation of the catalytic polymerization (CP) reaction system composed of (pyridylamido)hafnium(IV) complex as the catalyst. For this purpose, we adopted Red Moon (RM) method, a novel molecular simulation method to simulate the complex reaction system. First, according to the previous research, with the help of the QM calculation, we proposed a model system and elementary processes and explained the theoretical treatment of the simulation by the RM method (the RM simulation). In addition, we also proposed a macroscopic simulation based on chemical kinetics simulation. Then, we performed two simulations and compared them in terms of the effective time evolution of the three macroscopic physical quantities, the number-average molecular weight Mn , the mass-average molecular weight Mw , and the molar-mass dispersity ĐM . The comparison showed that the two simulations are in quantitative or partially qualitative agreement with each other. Therefore, it is concluded that the RM simulation could not only simulate the CP reaction process microscopically, but also it is connected essentially to reproduce the time evolution of the macroscopic physical quantities on the basis of its microscopic simulation data. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 相似文献

A new concept for the method to provide semipermeability in ultrathin and single‐component wholly aromatic polyamide membranes has been developed for the first time. It was found that water molecules could permeate through the membrane prepared not from polyamides containing flexible ether, bulky binaphthyl, or fluorene rigid units, but one with carboxylic acid groups under a reverse osmosis mode. However, the enhancement of water transport properties by introducing the hydrophilic group of polyamide was not substantial. Therefore, polyamide membranes were prepared from the solution containing aqueous additives in order to weaken hydrogen bonds between polymer chains and thereby to suppress the aggregation of the polymer chains. As a result, water flux was dramatically improved with slightly improved NaCl rejection. Our analyses based on attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and solid‐state carbon polarization and magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (13C CPMAS NMR) spectroscopy confirmed that the aggregation of polymer chains due to the hydrogen bonds among the amide linkages was suppressed by the co‐ordination of the aqueous additives to the amide linkage.
