We carried out an experimental and numerical investigation of photoinduced voltage at normal incidence in the nondiffraction regime, which was not predicted to occur by the simple momentum conservation model. We prepared two samples: one having space inversion symmetry and the other without this feature. At normal incidence in the nondiffraction regime, we observed a finite signal only for the asymmetric structure. We found that surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are excited by the signal and are attributed to the origin of the voltage. We also evaluated the radiation force of light by using the Maxwell stress tensor and found that pressure of light and not shear force is mainly induced in the structure due to the asymmetric excitation of SPPs. 相似文献

In this article, we shall prove that every bipartite quadrangulation G on the torus admits a simple closed curve visiting each face and each vertex of G exactly once but crossing no edge. Magnetic response of stratified metal dielectric metamaterial (SMDM) is demonstrated numerically and experimentally. One unit cell of SMDM has a sandwich unit cell consisting of alumina (60 nm)/silver (30 nm)/alumina (60 nm). A Mach–Zehnder interferometer is used to obtain phase information of transmittance and reflectance from which effective permeability is determined. The maximum permeability amounts to 20 and 17 for calculation and experiment, respectively. This huge resonance occurs when the magnetic field is concentrated at the metal layer, while the electric field has a node at the center. 相似文献

In surface-enhanced Raman spectra, vibrational peaks are superimposed on a background continuum, which is known as one major experimental anomaly. This is problematic in assessing vibrational information especially in the low Raman-shift region below 200 cm−1, where the background signals dominate. Herein, we present a rigorous comparison of normal Raman and surface-enhanced Raman spectra for atomically defined surfaces of Au(111) or Au(100) with and without molecular adsorbates. It is clearly shown that the origin of the background continuum is well explained by a local field enhancement of electronic Raman scattering in the conduction band of Au. In the low Raman-shift region, electronic Raman scattering gains additional intensity, probably due to a relaxation in the conservation of momentum rule through momentum transfer from surface roughness. Based on the mechanism for generation of the spectral background, we also present a practical method to extract electronic and vibrational information at the metal/dielectric interface from the measured raw spectra by reducing the thermal factor, the scattering efficiency factor and the Purcell factor over wide ranges in both the Stokes and the anti-Stokes branches. This method enables us not only to analyse concealed vibrational features in the low Raman-shift region but also to estimate more reliable local temperatures from surface-enhanced Raman spectra.Both electronic and vibrational information at the metal/dielectric interface were explicitly extracted from surface-enhanced Raman spectra. 相似文献

We have discovered a ring-opening fluorination of bicyclic azaarenes. Upon treatment of bicyclic azaarenes such as pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridines with electrophilic fluorinating agents, fluorination of the aromatic ring is followed by a ring-opening reaction. Although this overall transformation can be classified as an electrophilic fluorination of an aromatic ring, it is a novel type of fluorination that results in construction of tertiary carbon–fluorine bonds. The present protocol can be applied to a range of bicyclic azaarenes, tolerating azines and a variety of functional groups. Additionally, mechanistic studies and enantioselective fluorination have been examined.A ring-opening fluorination of bicyclic azaarenes was developed. Although this overall transformation can be classified as an electrophilic fluorination of aromatics, it is a novel type of fluorination that results in construction of tert-C–F bonds. 相似文献

A curved stereogenic [6]paraphenylene ([6]PP), anchoring a chiral binaphthyl scaffold at 7,7’-positions, was prepared and investigated for its properties as a solid-state circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) dye. X-ray analysis revealed a helically twisted structure of PP units induced by axial chirality of binaphthyl framework. The curved [6]PP exhibits fluorescence in powder and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film as well as solution. A significant increase in quantum yield was observed for a non-fluid PMMA film owing the suppression of the molecular motion. The gCPL values of the dye in solution and as PMMA film were almost the same (4.3–4.4×10−3) and lager than that in powder. TD-DFT calculations in the excited state suggest that the exciton can be delocalized into a twisted PP unit to produce a larger magnetic transition dipole moment. 相似文献

We prepared isomeric compounds 2a and 2b having fused skeletons of coumarin and fluorene by photochemical cyclization of olefin 1. They were successfully separated by chromatography, and characterized by NMR spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic analyses. The molecular structure of 2a was nonplanar due to the repulsion between the carbonyl group of the coumarin moiety and the methylene group at 9-position on the fluorene skeleton whilst that of 2b was planar. They showed different absorption and fluorescence features in solution whereas their spectral profiles of triplet–triplet absorption and phosphorescence were similar to each other. 相似文献

The synthesis, structure, optical and redox properties, and electronic structure of tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)tetrathiaisophlorin dioxide ( 12 ) are reported. Oxidation of tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)tetrathiaisophlorin ( 11 ) with dimethyldioxirane afforded the oxidized product, which was the tetrathiaisophlorin with two thiophene 1‐oxide moieties ( 12 ). More significant nonplanarity and greater bond length alternation in 12 than those of 11 were observed by X‐ray structural analysis. The absorption spectrum of 12 contains two bands at λ=348 and 276 nm, with a weak tail that extends to λ≈650 nm. Analysis of the magnetic circular dichroism spectrum of 12 , based on Michl's 4N‐perimeter model and molecular orbital calculations, indicate that the broad band at λ=348 nm appears to contain N2 and P2 bands, and 12 is classified as a 4nπ system, similar to 11 . The nuclear‐independent chemical shift values and 1H NMR spectroscopy data indicate that 12 has more antiaromatic character than 11 . 相似文献

From the viewpoints of large capacity, long‐term guarantee, and low cost, interest in magnetic recording tapes has undergone a revival as an archive storage media for big data. Herein, we prepared a new series of metal‐substituted ?‐Fe2O3, ?‐GaIII0.31TiIV0.05CoII0.05FeIII1.59O3, nanoparticles with an average size of 18 nm. Ga, Ti, and Co cations tune the magnetic properties of ?‐Fe2O3 to the specifications demanded for a magnetic recording tape. The coercive field was tuned to 2.7 kOe by introduction of single‐ion anisotropy on CoII (S=3/2) along the c‐axis. The saturation magnetization was increased by 44 % with GaIII (S=0) and TiIV (S=0) substitution through the enhancement of positive sublattice magnetizations. The magnetic tape media was fabricated using an actual production line and showed a very sharp signal response and a remarkably high signal‐to‐noise ratio compared to the currently used magnetic tape. 相似文献
