The spectra of high-pT fragments have been measured at CM 90° in 800 A MeV C + C collisions for pT up to 1.8 GeV/c (proton), 2.5 GeV/c (deuteron) and 2.8 GeV/c (triton) at the Bevalac. Invariant cross sections were measured down to eight orders of magnitude lower than those for production of low momentum protons. The proton spectrum shows a significant deviation from the Boltzmann shape in the high-energy region. The spectra of deuterons and tritons are explained well by, respectively, squaring and cubing the observed proton spectra.  相似文献

Separation of various alcohols and water through a membrane was carried out by means of a hydrogen-bonding interaction. A membrane obtained from poly(maleimide-co-acrylonitrile) was effective for a selective separation of water from aqueous alcohol solution by pervaporation technique. Spectroscopic analyses verified that this high selectivity was attributed to the hydrogen-bonding interaction between water and maleimide units in the membrane.  相似文献

Low-lying levels in 188pt were studied using the 191Ir(p, 4nγ)188Pt reaction and higher spin members of the quasi-γ band were proposed. The results resemble a slightly perturbed phonon scheme, from comparisons with macroscopic calculations which would remove the degeneracy of the phonon multiplets. A photosensitive amphiphilic molecule can switch the shape of an assembled vesicle as determined by microscopic observation. Photoisomerization induces a change in membrane fluctuation behavior or a morphological transition between ellipsoid and bud shapes, depending on the asymmetrical degree of the initial shape. The mechanism of this reversible photoswitching in the vesicle morphology is interpreted in terms of a change in the effective cross-sectional area of the photosensitive molecule.  相似文献

Using fluorescence microscopy (FM), which permits the observation of single molecules, we found that a pearling structure is generated on a single long DNA molecule upon the addition of a gemini (dimeric) surfactant. This pearling structure was further investigated by performing atomic force microscopy measurements on the same DNA molecules as observed by FM. These observations revealed that the pearling structure is composed of many rings that are interconnected by elongated coil parts along a single DNA molecule, i.e., rings-on-a-string structure. The mechanism of the formation of such an intrachain segregated structure in terms of microphase separation on a single polyelectrolyte chain is discussed.  相似文献

The process of dioxygen reduction catalyzed by cytochrome c oxidase was investigated by examining intact porcine mitochondrial preparations using a novel time-resolved resonance Raman measurement system at experimental accuracy levels equivalent to those of the reaction system of the solubilized and purified enzyme. The resonance Raman bands assignable to the initial three intermediates were detected at frequencies identical to those observed with purified enzyme preparations. However, the lifetime of the initial intermediate (the oxygenated species) in the mitochondrial preparation was found to be significantly longer than that observed in purified preparations, suggesting that control of the stability of the oxygenated species is imposed by the mitochondrial membrane system.  相似文献
