The12C(γ,2N) reactions have been studied using tagged photons ofE γ = 114–600 MeV at the Mainz microtron (MAMI). The cross sections of the12C(γ,pn) reaction and the shape of12C(γ,pp) spectra compare well to model predictions over a wide range of photon energies and missing energies, suggesting that the dominant mechanisms of photonuclear reactions are understood. 相似文献

The number of studies conducted about nonenzymatic electrochemical sensors has increased in recent years due to the development of more stable and robust electrodes using noble metals. One of the key aspects for achieving high sensing performance including detection limit and sensitivity is the design of electrode architecture. Herein, we report a new electrochemical sensing platform featuring ultrathin standing gold nanowires (AuNWs) for nonenzymatic detection of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The use of AuNWs resulted in an increased electron transfer efficiency due to the higher active surface area compared to traditional gold film electrodes. This sensor demonstrates good selectivity, reproducibility, a linear range up to 49.5 mM of H2O2 with a sensitivity of 0.185±0.003 mAmM?1cm?2 and a limit of detection of 111 μM. The biological relevance of this sensor was tested in cell culture media to illustrate the performance of the proposed sensing electrode in complex biological media. 相似文献

We present a computational protein design algorithm for finding low-energy sequences of fixed amino acid composition. The search algorithms used in protein design typically do not restrict amino acid composition. However, the random energy model of Shakhnovich suggests that the use of fixed-composition sequences may circumvent defects in the modeling of the denatured state. Our algorithm, FC_FASTER, links fixed-composition versions of Monte Carlo and the FASTER algorithm. As proof of principle, FC_FASTER was tested on an experimentally validated, full-sequence design of the beta1 domain of protein G. For the wild-type composition, FC_FASTER found a lower energy sequence than the experimentally validated sequence. Also, for a different composition, FC_FASTER found the hypothetical lowest-energy sequence in 14 out of 32 trials. 相似文献

For fractionation of intact proteins by molecular weight (MW), a sharply improved two-dimensional (2D) separation is presented to drive reproducible and robust fractionation before top-down mass spectrometry of complex mixtures. The “GELFrEE” (i.e., gel-eluted liquid fraction entrapment electrophoresis) approach is implemented by use of Tris-glycine and Tris-tricine gel systems applied to human cytosolic and nuclear extracts from HeLa S3 cells, to achieve a MW-based fractionation of proteins from 5 to >100 kDa in 1 h. For top-down tandem mass spectroscopy (MS/MS) of the low-mass proteome (5–25 kDa), between 5 and 8 gel-elution (GE) fractions are sampled by nanocapillary-LC-MS/MS with 12 or 14.5 tesla Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometers. Single injections give about 40 detectable proteins, about half of which yield automated ProSight identifications. Reproducibility metrics of the system are presented, along with comparative analysis of protein targets in mitotic versus asynchronous cells. We forward this basic 2D approach to facilitate wider implementation of top-down mass spectrometry and a variety of other protein separation and/or characterization approaches. 相似文献

A novel and efficient method of providing moisture resistance of inorganic particles such as divalent europium activated strontium aluminate phosphors (Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+/Dy3+) was developed by firing the phosphor in the presence of appropriate amount of ammonium fluoride at a temperature of 600-700 °C. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, EDAX and Photoluminescence measurements were carried out to characterize the uncoated and coated samples. The pH measurements were carried out for the water resistivity measurements. The phosphor particles became coated with a moisture-impervious thin coating that did not suppress the luminescence of the phosphor and can withstand complete immersion in water for long periods of time, showing very high water resistivity. 相似文献
