A semicrystalline inorganic–organic hybrid crosslinked network containing polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) cores was constructed by the unusual hydrosilylation of the terminal vinyl groups of an internal acetylene‐containing silane linker by a POSS monomer. Products from the thermal treatments of this network in either argon or air at 250, 550, and 1000 °C, respectively, were characterized by Fourier transform infrared, Solid‐state 13C and 29Si magic angle spinning NMR, X‐ray diffraction and XPS analyses. The highly symmetrically functionalized POSS silica clusters, in the fluorite silica phase, in the network were found to remain unchanged on thermal treatment possibly due to the shielding of the silica core by the functionalities and a cancellation of thermal stresses on the silica core. Stabilization of the metastable α‐cristobalite phase, which is typically formed on cooling by a β‐ to α‐transition of the β‐cristobalite phase formed above 1400 °C, was observed in the amorphous regions in the network sample treated only to 1000 °C in air. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We study the spectrum of permutation orbifolds of 2d CFTs. We find examples where the light spectrum grows faster than Hagedorn, which is different from known cases such as symmetric orbifolds. We also describe how to compute their partition functions using a generalization of Hecke operators.

Due to the increasing consumers’ interest in up-to-date nutrition nowadays the production of main part of fermented dairy products (e.g. yogurt, kefir) is performed using probiotic microbes. The majority of this product group are the flavoured variations, the sweetener is, first of all, still refined sugar (e.g. saccharose). Honey of natural origin, consequently preferred from the nutrition-physiological point of view, could be proposed to replace this refined carbohydrate. To check its availability for this purpose the growth of microbes of the Hungarian culture of trade name Prebiolact-2 was examined. The probiotic properties of the culture are proved by clinical tests. At the determination of recipes of control and experimental samples we took into consideration that the milk composition and carbohydrate content of samples should have been the same, and they could differ only in carbohydrate-free component content of honey. During processing of the samples the minimum heat-treatment was applied to protect the biologically active components of honey to the greatest degree. Pasteurized-homogenized milk was used as raw material, in which granulated sugar and the honeys were solved, respectively, at 60 °C. The inoculation was made by Prebiolact-2 culture injected into the batch-wessel; the closed cells were agitated intensively for 10 s. General conclusion of thermal investigation is that the proliferation rate is longer lasting in case of honey treated milks. The acacia- honey resulted in the same probiotic proliferation as sugar did. In case of other herb-honeys the effect was smaller, very probably because of the strong bactericidal effect of herbs, which is very important from medical point of view. According to the results of the consumer survey over 85 % of them think that the consumption of herbs in the form of honey is especially beneficial from both dietary and market view.  相似文献

Structural isomers of thermo‐oxidatively stable poly(carborane‐siloxane‐arylacetylene) (PCSAA), namely, m‐PCSAA and p‐PCSAA, were synthesized by the reaction of the dimagnesium salts of m‐diethynylbenzene or p‐diethynylbenzene with 1,7‐bis(chlorotetramethyldisiloxyl)‐m‐carborane. The developed polymers have exceptional thermo‐oxidative properties similar to their diacetylene counterpart poly(carborane‐siloxane‐acetylene), PCSA. Thermal treatment of either of the PCSAAs results in a fully crosslinked thermoset by 500 °C resulting from the cycloaddition reactions involving the acetylene and aryl functionalities and subsequent formation of bridging disilylmethylene entities as discerned from Fourier transform infrared, 13C and 29Si solid‐state NMR, and XPS studies. X‐ray diffraction analysis revealed that the thermosets obtained from p‐PCSAA possess enhanced crystallinity when compared to that obtained from m‐PCSAA possibly due to more efficient packing interactions of the p‐diethynylbenzene groups during thermoset formation. The presence of the aryl groups in the backbone of the PCSAAs' chains appeared to have enhanced the storage and bulk moduli of their thermosets when compared to the thermoset of PCSA. Dielectric studies of m‐PCSAA and p‐PCSAA revealed segmental relaxation peaks, α, above their glass transition temperatures with p‐PCSAA exhibiting a broader peak with a slower relaxation rate than m‐PCSAA. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.? The one-dimensional model of Hann et al. (J Chem Inf Comput Sci 41(3):856–864) has been extended to include reverse binding and wrap-around interaction modes between the protein and ligand to explore the complete combinatorial matrix of molecular recognition. The cumulative distribution function of the Maxwell–Boltzmann distribution has been used to calculate the probability of measuring the sensitivity of the interactions as the asymptotic limits of the distribution better describe the behavior of the interactions under experimental conditions. Based on our model, we hypothesized that molecules of lower complexity are preferred for target based screening campaigns, while augmenting such a library with moieties of moderate complexities maybe better suited for phenotypic screens. The validity of the hypothesis has been assessed via the analysis of the hit rate profiles for four ChemBL datasets for enzymatic and phenotypic screens.  相似文献
