The copolymer of hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) and photochromic spiropyran methacrylate (SPMA) has been synthesized. The films of the copolymer (P(HPMA‐SPMA)) in a hydrated state showed reversible swelling–shrinking behavior in response to photoreversible isomerization and metal complexation of SPMA units in spite of covalently noncross‐linked copolymers. In addition, the protonated open form of the SPMA units of the copolymer was possibly stabilized thermodynamically by the HPMA units from ultraviolet–visible absorption measurement of the hydrated P(HPMA‐SPMA) film. On the other hand, the difference in color of the hydrated films between P(HPMA‐AABMA) and P(NIPMA‐AABMA), which was a copolymer of N‐isopropyl methacryl amide (NIPMA) and azobenzene methacrylate (AABMA) as a pH indicator, was suggestive of the interference of the proximal hydroxyl groups of the immobilized HPMA units with protonation of the AABMA units. [Structure: see text] Beta-isocupreidine (beta-ICD)-catalyzed Baylis-Hillman reaction of chiral N-Boc-alpha-amino aldehydes and 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropyl acrylate (HFIPA) takes place without racemization and exhibits the match-mismatch relationship between the substrate and the catalyst. In the case of acyclic amino aldehydes, L-substrates show excellent syn selectivity and high reactivity in contrast to D-substrates. Mere chemical generation of ceramide and related double-chain lipids in the membrane of small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) induces fusion of the vesicles. The lipids can be successfully prepared by dehydrocondensation between single-chain lipids (fatty acids and sphingosine or its analogues) in a lipid bilayer of the SUV by using a combination of 2-chloro-4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine and amphiphilic tertiary amine catalysts, a process that can be compared to a successive enzyme model system for a fatty acyl-CoA synthetase followed by acyltransferase. The SUV spontaneously undergoes membrane fusion upon this internal chemical stimulation by the artificial enzyme system. 相似文献

Several kinds of cycloaddition reactions were applied to C3-ethynylated pyropheophorbide-a methyl ester to develop C3-functionalized chlorophyll derivatives. Its [2+2] cycloaddition with tetracyanoethylene, [2+3] cycloaddition with diazomethane, [2+3] Huisgen reaction with trimethylsilyl azide, and [2+4] Diels–Alder reaction with tetraphenylcyclopentadienone gave the expected products in moderate to high yields. Abstract To confirm the potential usefulness of amino acid residues as protecting groups for sugar hydroxyls, methyl 2,3-di-O-glycyl-α-D-glucopyranoside (5) and methyl 4,6-di-O-glycyl-2,3-di-O-methyl-α-D-gluco-pyranoside (7) were synthesized as reference compounds. Conditions were then established for the removal of these aminoacyl groups from the sugar molecules. The reference compounds were easily prepared by condensation of methyl α-D-glucopyranoside derivatives with N-protected glycine in the presence of dicyclohexyl-carbodiimide (DCC). The aminoacyl groups were removed by alkaline treatment, as were conventional acyl groups and also with ease by enzymatic hydrolysis using Pronase E. Conventional ester and ether protecting groups are not removed by such enzymatic treatment. Removal of aminoacyl group from sugar moieties on a practical scale is also described. 相似文献

Silica nanoparticles with high concentration were prepared by the sol–gel process based on the Stöber method using tetraethoxysilane as a starting material. It was found that silica sol with about 4 wt% in concentration and with a diameter of about 10 nm was obtained by controlling the reaction conditions in the Stöber process. By removing the solvent under a reduced pressure, the particle concentration was increased up to 15 wt% without aggregation. 相似文献
