The present study was designed to evaluate polarity-dependent extraction efficiency and pharmacological profiling of Polygonum glabrum Willd. Crude extracts of leaves, roots, stems, and seeds, prepared from solvents of varying polarities, were subjected to phytochemical, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic, and cytotoxicity assays. Maximum extraction yield (20.0% w/w) was observed in the case of an acetone:methanol (AC:M) root extract. Distilled water:methanol (W:M) leaves extract showed maximum phenolic contents. Maximum flavonoid content and free radical scavenging potential were found in methanolic (M) seed extract. HPLC-DAD quantification displayed the manifestation of substantial quantities of quercetin, rutin, gallic acid, quercetin, catechin, and kaempferol in various extracts. The highest ascorbic acid equivalent total antioxidant capacity and reducing power potential was found in distilled water roots and W:M leaf extracts, respectively. Chloroform (C) seeds extract produced a maximum zone of inhibition against Salmonella typhimurium. Promising protein kinase inhibition and antifungal activity against Mucor sp. were demonstrated by C leaf extract. AC:M leaves extract exhibited significant cytotoxic capability against brine shrimp larvae and α-amylase inhibition. Present results suggest that the nature of pharmacological responses depends upon the polarity of extraction solvents and parts of the plant used. P. glabrum can be considered as a potential candidate for the isolation of bioactive compounds with profound therapeutic importance. 相似文献

This work aimed to synthesize a new antihyperglycemic thiazolidinedione based on the spectral data. The DFT\B3LYP\6-311G** level of theory was used to investigate the frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs), chemical reactivity and map the molecular electrostatic potentials (MEPs) to explain how the synthesized compounds interacted with the receptor. The molecular docking simulations into the active sites of PPAR-γ and α-amylase were performed. The in vitro potency of these compounds via α-amylase and radical scavenging were evaluated. The data revealed that compounds (4–6) have higher potency than the reference drugs. The anti-diabetic and anti-hyperlipidemic activities for thiazolidine-2,4-dione have been investigated in vivo using the alloxan-induced diabetic rat model along with the 30 days of treatment protocol. The investigated compounds didn’t show obvious reduction of blood glucose during pre-treatments compared to diabetic control, while after 30 days of treatments, the blood glucose level was lower than that of the diabetic control. Compounds (4–7) were able to regulate hyperlipidemia levels (cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoproteins and low- and very-low-density lipoproteins) to nearly normal value at the 30th day. 相似文献

Herein we describe a novel and efficient method for synthesizing the (R)-atropisomer of 3-[3-ethyl-5-(6-phenylpyridin-3-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl]-2-methylbenzonitrile 1, a novel GlyT1 inhibitor. The diastereomeric salt formation of 3-[3-ethyl-5-(6-phenylpyridin-3-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl]-2-methylbenzoic acid 7 with (1R,2S)-(?)-2-amino-1,2-diphenylethanol afforded the desired (R)-atropisomer. A novel catalytic asymmetric synthetic method for making spirocyclohexadienones with an all-carbon quaternary spirocenter was developed based on the Pd-catalyzed intramolecular ipso-Friedel–Crafts allylic alkylation of phenols. When 5 mol % of the Pd catalyst and 12 mol % of (?)-9-NapBN (?)-3e were used, the spirocyclic adduct was obtained with up to 93% ee, albeit with low chemical yield. On the other hand, when using 6 mol% of the Trost ligand (R,R)-3k, the spirocyclic adducts were obtained in good yields with up to 89% ee (diastereoselectivity = 9.2:1). 相似文献

Ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and inorganic fillers were applied for improving flame retardancy and mechanical performance of recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (RPET). RPET was compounded with 5–10 wt% of talc and glass bead using twin screw extruder then were injection molded with 2 wt% of APP. The effects of fillers contents and APP on properties and flame retardancy of RPET composites were investigated. The incorporation of talc and glass bead as well as the adding of APP significantly improved tensile and flexural modulus of RPET composites. Scanning electron microscope micrographs indicated good distribution of talc, while glass bead was agglomerated on the RPET matrix. Flame‐retardant property of neat RPET and the RPET composites revealed V‐2 of UL‐94 flammability rating. It can be noted that the composites were less dripping because of the synergistic effect of adding talc and glass bead with APP. From thermogravimetric analysis results, larger of residual char contents and lower values of the activation energy were considered for enhancing flame retardancy in the RPET composites. We developed a novel method for synthesizing fused-tricyclic indole derivatives with a 3-aminomethyl indole motif through a reaction cascade involving ipso-Friedel–Crafts alkylation of phenols, rearomatization of the spirocyclohexadienone unit, and iso-Pictet–Spengler reaction. In order to study the mechanisms of initiation and stabilization of H2-Air combustions (stoechiometric mixture initially atT
0=293 K andp
0=0.5 bar) in supersonic flow conditions behind an oblique shock wave (OSW), an original technique is used where OSW is generated in this mixture by the lateral expansion of the burnt gas behind a normal CJ gaseous detonation propagating into a bounding reactive mixture. Four Mach numberM of propagation of OSW are considered in the study, namelyM=7.7-6.1-4.4 and 3. Depending on the Mach numberM and inclinaison angle of OSW different regimes of combustion may occur in the driven mixture. For high values ofM (6.1 and 7.7) delayed steady overdriven oblique detonation waves (SODW) were obtained with a near CJ detonation wave as the critical regime. It was found that SODW obtained correspond quite well to prediction of the polar method. When thermal conditions behind the OSW are lower, either for high Mach number 6.1 and 7.7 for smaller angle than the previous case, or for lower Mach number, 4.4 and 3, the flame initiated at the apex is stabilized as a turbulent oblique flame behind the OSW. With much lower conditions, no combustion appears in the H2-Air mixture. 相似文献
