A method is described for the analysis of volatile organic compounds in saliva and tongue coating samples. The techniue is based on an off-line preconcentration step by means of a closed-loop trapping system followed by gas chromatography-ion trap detection. With the closed-loop technique, the volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are released from the matrix and trapped on an adsorbent without interference of water. The VOCs are released from the adsorbent into the gas chromatograph by thermdesorption. After separation, identification of the compounds is performed by ion trap technology. By this technique 82 compounds could be demonstrated in saliva and tongue coating samples. The technique is also used to demonstrate the formation of volatile bacterial fermentation compounds when a protein substrate is added to tongue coating samples. It is considered a very promising tool in further research on oral malodor.  相似文献

 Changes in the 13C and 1H NMR chemical shifts of the silane coupling agent (3-aminopropyltri-ethoxysilane, APTS) in toluene, which were detected as the concentration of APTS increased, have been interpreted in terms of the formation of micelles and the presence of a critical micelle concentration (CMC) equal to ca. 0.47 mol 1-1. For the protons of the n-propyl segment, 1H NMR splitting patterns have been analyzed and conformations of the propyl segment have been discussed. Plots of relative absorbance of the two NH2 stretch IR bands at 3324 and 3384 cm-1 against concentration provided an inflection point (corresponding to the CMC) at a value equal to 0.46 mol 1-1. Thus, consideration of the interaction of APTS with a surface must take into account the presence of both APTS aggregates as well as APTS monomers. The solid acid, tin hydroxide-embedded montmorillonite, catalyzes the unprecedented alkylation of various silicon enolates with primary, secondary and tertiary benzylic alcohols as well as secondary allylic alcohols. The acid catalysis of Sn-Mont was not only higher than that of the other ion-exchanged montmorillonites (M-Mont; M = H, Ti, Fe and Al), but also higher than that of the typical homogeneous acid catalysts such as BF3·OEt2, TMSOTf and TfOH.  相似文献

From the stems of Kadsura heteroclita, two new lignans named heteroclitins F and G were isolated and their structures were determined by various spectroscopic means including an X-ray diffraction method. Dibenzocyclooctadiene type lignans and related compounds isolated from the stems of K. heteroclita, potently inhibited the lipid peroxidation in the rat liver homogenate stimulated by Fe(2+)-ascorbic acid, CCl4-reduced form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) and adenosine 5'-diphosphate-NADPH.  相似文献

Glycyrrhetic acid (GA), aglycone of glycyrrhizin (GL), inhibited potently (I50 = 7 x 10(-6) M) and non-competitively the activity of NAD(P)+-linked 3 alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase of rat liver cytosol. The inhibition was slightly weaker than that of indomethacin, a potent anti-inflammatory agent, but stronger than that of dexamethasone, another anti-inflammatory agent. GL, GA monoglucuronide, and 3-epi-glycyrrhetic acid also inhibited this enzyme activity, but did so less effectively (I50 = 5-8 x 10(-5) M). Carbenoxolone (GA 3-hemisuccinate) and 3-keto-glycyrrhetic acid showed potent inhibitory effects similar to GA, and 18 alpha-GA showed the most powerful inhibition of the activity.  相似文献

In this study, we propose a new Low-Reynolds-Number (LRN)one-equation model, which is derived from an LRN two-equation(k-ε) model. The derivation of the transport equation, in principle, is based on the assumption that the turbulent structure parameter remains constant. However, the relation for the turbulent structure parameter a 1(=|− |/k) is modified to account for near-wall turbulence. As a result, the present one-equation model contains a term which takes the near-wall limiting behavior explicitly into account. Thus, the present model provides the correct wall-limiting behavior of turbulence in the vicinity of the wall and can be applied to the analysis of heat transfer. The validity of the present model is tested in channel flows, boundary layer flows with and without pressure gradient, plane wall jet, and flow with separation and reattachment. The calculated results showed good agreement with the direct numerical simulation (DNS) and experimental data. Size dependency of the relaxation time T(1) was measured for laser-polarized (129)Xe gas encapsulated in different sized cavities made by glass bulbs or gelatin capsules. The use of laser-polarized gas enhances the sensitivity a great deal, making it possible to measure the longer (129)Xe relaxation time in quite a short time. The size dependency is analyzed on the basis of the kinetic theory of gases and a relationship is derived in which the relaxation rate is connected with the square inverse of the diameter of the cavity. Such an analysis provides a novel parameter which denotes the wall effect on the relaxation rate when a gas molecule collides with the surface once in a second. The relaxation time of (129)Xe gas is also dependent on the material which forms the cavity. This dependency is large and the relaxation study using polarized (129)Xe gas is expected to offer important information about the state of the matter of the cavity wall.  相似文献

In lightwave community antena television (CATV) systems as well as other optical fiber communication networks, a transmitted optical signal is known to be degraded by an intensity noise produced within the fiber due to the interference between the signal and doubly reflected light. We report on the improvements to the signal degradation due to the double Rayleigh backscattering by inserting optical isolators in the trunk lines of the systems. A carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) has been calculated as a function of the number and the insertion loss of the isolators. The calculated results indicate that there is an optimum number of isolators, and if the insertion loss is less than 0.3 dB, the CNR degradation can be restored by more than 60%. To test the calculated results, we conducted experiments for the specific case of employing one isolator, and obtained good agreements between the two.  相似文献
