Subquark pregeometry with spontaneously broken conformal invariance

We present a model of subquark pregeometry in which the Higgs scalar as well as the space-time metric appears as a composite of subquark-antisubquark pairs. The effective langrangian becomes the einstein one with no cosmological term when conformal invariance is broken spontaneously.     

Determination of atractylon in Atractylodes rhizome using supercritical fluid chromatography on-line coupled with supercritical fluid extraction by the direct induction method

Atractylon was extracted from Atractylodes rhizome within 15 s with supercritical carbon dioxide. The extraction was so rapid that SFE extracts could be transported directly into an SFC column and analyzed. Atractylon was eluted and separated in ca. 5 min. Analyte recovery was 30% higher than when using solvent extraction. Determination of atractylon in Atractylodes rhizome was achieved with only a few mg of crude drug sample. Atractylon is unstable due to oxidation and is easily transformed to atractylenolides. Loss of analytes during the procedures was also minimal with this on-line SFE–SFC system.     

In-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy of 116Te

High-spin states of the even-even ¹¹⁶Te were studied by in-beam g-ray spectroscopy using the ¹⁰³Rh (¹⁶O, p2n) fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 80 MeV. γ-γ coincidence and γ-γ angular correlation analyses were employed for determining the level scheme of ¹¹⁶Te. Levels up to I^π = 27^? and several new states were established. We identified two rotational bands with negative parity, one of which was newly established in the present work. We suggest that such two bands be associated with two proton [(g_7/2) ? (h_11/2)] and two neutron [(d_5/2) ? (h_11/2)] configurations, respectively.     

Solid phase synthesis of nonadecathymidylic acid by the phosphotriester approach

Nonadecathymidylic acid was synthesized by the block coupling phosphotriester approach on a polymer support.     

Theoretical study of spin waves in the itinerant ferromagnetic state of MnAs

The dynamic susceptibility is studied for the ferromagnetic state of MnAs on the basis of the itinerant electron theory. The spin waves exist throughout the entire Brillouin zone and the existence of an optical spin-wave branch is predicted.
