This paper is concerned with the thermoelastic plate equations in a domain Ω: subject to the boundary condition: u|=Dνu|=θ|=0 and initial condition: (u, ut, θ)|t=0=(u0, v0, θ0). We first introduce the notion of positive linear Volterra integral equations. Then, we offer a criterion for positive equations in terms of the resolvent. In particular, equations with nonnegative kernels are positive. Next, we obtain a variant of the Paley-Wiener theorem for equations of this class and its extension to perturbed equations. Furthermore, we get a Perron-Frobenius type theorem for linear Volterra integral equations with nonnegative kernels. Finally, we give a criterion for positivity of the initial function semigroup of linear Volterra integral equations and provide a necessary and sufficient condition for exponential stability of the semigroups.  相似文献

We treat an abstract semilinear control system and study the controllability problem for its trajectories. Assuming a range condition of the control action operator and an inequality condition on the system parameters, we can show that the reachable trajectory set of the semilinear system is equivalent to that of its corresponding linear system.The author wishes to express his deep appreciation to Prof. T. It is well- known that a nonoscillatory solution x(t) of (1) satisfies (2) x(t)x(i)(t)>0 (0il), (–1)i–lx(t)x(i)(t)>0 (lin) for some integer l, 0ln, (–1)n–l–1=1. In this paper, for a given l such that 0n–l–1=1, necessary conditions and sufficient conditions are found for (1) to have a solution x(t) which satisfies (2), and a necessary and sufficient condition is established in order that for every >0 the equation x(n)(t)+p(t)x(g(t))=0 (t>a) has a solution x(t) which satisfies (2). The geophysical quantitative excitation on seasonal polar wobble of Earth Rotation has not been well achieved so far. The atmospheric, hydrologic and oceanic angular momentum variations are investigated from monthly values simulated by a coupled ocean-atmosphere general circulation model. The simulated equatorial AAM functions agree well with that from the JMA operational analysis in 90°:E direction, but disagree along Greenwich meridian. As for the annual cycle, not only the hydrologic and oceanic excitations partly match the residuals between geodetic functions of polar wobble and JMA AAM functions, but also the combinations with NCEP and JMA analysis AAM functions are better than those estimated from NCAR-CSM1 climate model.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce recurrent dimensions of discrete dynamical systems and we give upper and lower bounds of the recurrent dimensions of the quasi-periodic orbits. We show that these bounds have different values according to the algebraic properties of the frequency and we investigate these dimensions of quasi-periodic trajectories given by solutions of a nonlinear PDE.

In this paper, we give a polytopal estimate of Mirkovi?–Vilonen polytopes lying in a Demazure crystal in terms of Minkowski sums of extremal Mirkovi?–Vilonen polytopes. Recently, measuring the complexity of body movements during sleep has been proven as an objective biomarker of various psychiatric disorders. Although sleep problems are common in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and might exacerbate ASD symptoms, their objectivity as a biomarker remains to be established. Therefore, details of body movement complexity during sleep as estimated by actigraphy were investigated in typically developing (TD) children and in children with ASD. Several complexity analyses were applied to raw and thresholded data of actigraphy from 17 TD children and 17 children with ASD. Determinism, irregularity and unpredictability, and long-range temporal correlation were examined respectively using the false nearest neighbor (FNN) algorithm, information-theoretic analyses, and detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA). Although the FNN algorithm did not reveal determinism in body movements, surrogate analyses identified the influence of nonlinear processes on the irregularity and long-range temporal correlation of body movements. Additionally, the irregularity and unpredictability of body movements measured by expanded sample entropy were significantly lower in ASD than in TD children up to two hours after sleep onset and at approximately six hours after sleep onset. This difference was found especially for the high-irregularity period. Through this study, we characterized details of the complexity of body movements during sleep and demonstrated the group difference of body movement complexity across TD children and children with ASD. Complexity analyses of body movements during sleep have provided valuable insights into sleep profiles. Body movement complexity might be useful as a biomarker for ASD.  相似文献
