Total synthesis of buergerinin F via effective construction of the asymmetric quaternary carbons using an enantioselective aldol reaction

An efficient method for the synthesis of (+)-buergerinin F is established via the enantioselective aldol reaction of a tetra-substituted ketene silyl acetal with crotonaldehyde, followed by intramolecular Wacker-type ketalization.     

Heat capacity and dual spin-transitions in the crossover system [Fe(2-pic)3]Cl2·EtOH

The heat capacity of [Fe(2-pic)₃]Cl₂·C₂H₅OH Crystal (2-pic: 2-picolylamine) has been measured with an adiabatic calorimeter between 13 and 315 K. Two phase transitions centered at 114.04 and 122.21 K were observed. This finding accords with recent prediction of possible existence of two-step spin-conversion (H. Köppen et al., Chem. Phys. Lett., 91 (1982) 348). The total transition enthalpy and entropy amounted to ΔH = 6.14 kJ mol^?1 and ΔS = 50.59 J K^?1 mol^?1. The transition entropy consists of the magnetic contribution (13.38 J K^?1 mol^?1), the orientational order-disorder phenomenon of the solvate ethanol molecule (8.97) and the change in the phonon system, in particular the change in stretching and deformation vibrations of the metal-ligand (28.24).

Amidation of exo/endo mixture of β-nitro bicyclic acids by dehydration with DCC, gives only the corresponding exo-amides.     

Vibrational frequencies,infrared absorption intensities and energy differences between rotational isomers of propyl halides

Infrared absorption intensities of fundamental bands of propyl halides n-C₃ H₇ Cl, n-C₃H₇ Br and n-C₃H₇I were measured in the pure liquid state. In order to obtain L matrix data necessary for the intensity computation, normal frequencies of the rotational isomers were calculated, and LSFF force constants were determined by the least squares method so as to attain the best fit between the observed and calculated frequencies. By applying the absolute intensity method, energy differences between the rotational isomers were evaluated, which are in quite good agreement with values obtained by the temperature variation method.     

Ascoli-Arzelà type theorem for rational iterations on the complex projective plane

For a dominant algebraically stable rational self-map of the complex projective plane of degree at least 2, we will consider three different definitions of the Fatou set and show the equivalence of them (Ascoli-Arzelà type theorem). As a corollary, it follows that all Fatou components are Stein. This is an improvement of an early result by Fornæss and Sibony.

1 引言有机过氧化物是一种自反应性物质.这类物质在制造、使用、贮存过程中或由于自分解发热、热积累导致燃烧、爆炸,或由于冲击、摩擦、电火花、明火等外部作用导致燃烧爆炸而造成人员伤亡.差示扫描量热法(DSC)、压力容器试验法(PVT)是评价这类物质安全性的基本方法.本文利用DSC法对7种有机过氧化物进行了加热分解试验研究,探讨其热安定性、发生热爆炸的难易程度及剧烈程度.

Laccase‐catalyzed polymerization of lignocatechol and affinity on proteins of resulting polymers

For the synthesis of a new biologically functional polymer from a natural resource by an environment‐friendly method, the laccase‐catalyzed polymerization of a lignin‐based macromonomer, lignocatechol, was carried out for the first time in ethanol–phosphate buffer solvent system to give crosslinked polymers in good yields. Lignocatechol was prepared by the phase separation system of lignin and catechol in aqueous sulfuric acid. The copolymerization was also performed with urushiol to afford the corresponding copolymers in high yields. The polymerization mechanism was estimated by the IR and pyrolysis GC‐MS measurements, suggesting that the polymerization proceeded mainly at the catechol ring through a quinone radical intermediate. The thermal properties were measured by the DSC, TG, and TMA analyses, indicating that the polymers had high thermal stabilities because of the crosslinked structures. In addition, it was found that the resulting polymers had the affinity of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and glucoamylase. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Extreme point axioms for closure spaces

A pair (X,τ) of a finite set X and a closure operator τ:2^X→2^X is called a closure space. The class of closure spaces includes matroids as well as antimatroids. Associated with a closure space (X,τ), the extreme point operator ex:2^X→2^X is defined as ex(A)={p|p∈A,p∉τ(A-{p})}. We give characterizations of extreme point operators of closure spaces, matroids and antimatroids, respectively.
