Liquid-crystalline materials containing fullerenes are valuable in the development of supramolecular switches and in solar cell technology. In this study, we characterize the liquid-crystalline and dynamic properties of fullerene-containing thermotropic compounds using solid-state natural abundance (13)C NMR experiments under stationary and magic angle spinning sample conditions. Chemical shifts spectra were measured in isotropic, liquid-crystalline nematic and smectic A and crystalline phases using one-dimensional (13)C experiments, while two-dimensional separated local-field experiments were used to measure the (1)H- (13)C dipolar couplings in mesophases. Chemical shift and dipolar coupling parameters were used to characterize the structure and dynamics of the liquid-crystalline dyads. NMR data of fullerene-containing thermotropic liquid crystals are compared to that of basic mesogenic unit and mesomorphic promoter compounds. Our NMR results suggest that the fullerene-ferrocene dyads form highly dynamic liquid-crystalline phases in which molecules rotate fast around the symmetry axis on the characteristic NMR time scale of approximately 10 (-4) s.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to develop a practical route for preparing a fluorine-18 ([18F]) labelled ligand ([18F]1) containing [18F]fluorobenzene ring by employing the reaction of diphenyliodonium salt with [18F]F. Diphenyliodonium tosylate (2) was synthesized from tributylphenylstannyl compound (6) with [hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene (7). Using this method, [18F]DAA1106 ([18F]3a), a positron emission tomography ligand for imaging peripheral-type benzodiazepine receptor, was prepared.  相似文献

PM10 samples were collected at an urban site of Nagoya City during September, 2003, to August, 2004, and annual variations of the concentrations of the elements in PM10 samples were examined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The annual concentration variations of ca. 30 elements in ambient air were in the range from sub-ng m(-3) to several microg m(-3). From an evaluation by the enrichment factors of the elements, elements such as Al, Ca, Fe, Mg, Ti, Mn, Ba, Sr, Ce, La, Nd, Co, Cs, and Pr, in PM10 samples were found to have originated mostly from natural sources, while the elements such as S, Zn, Pb, Cu, Ni, Sb, Sn, Cd, Bi, W, Tl, and In originated from anthropogenic emission sources. Furthermore, in seasonal variations of the elemental concentrations of PM10 samples in ambient air, the elements originated mostly from natural sources provided significantly high concentrations in spring during the "Kosa" period (the dust season from March to May). On the other hand, the elements mainly from anthropogenic emission sources provided relatively higher concentrations in autumn and winter, which may be explained by the fact that the urban atmospheric structure is stabilized by the temperature-inversion layer formed over the city in those seasons. In addition, all of the elements provided significantly low concentrations in the summer, due to the dilution effect of the oceanic winds as well as due to the convection of air mass up to the high levels.  相似文献

Non-destructive measurement of a small region on a solid/liquid interface is of great importance in physical chemistry and biochemistry, especially in the research of thin films and cell membranes. Optical methods for surface analysis with high lateral resolution are suitable methods for monitoring them. We now report a new scanning optical microscopic method to which total internal reflection coupled with a thermal lens technique was introduced. Its lateral resolution was estimated both experimentally and theoretically. To experimentally estimate the resolution, the grid patterns of thin photoresist films with well-defined lateral structures were measured. The experimental resolution was about 45 microm, which was almost same as the diameter of the excitation beam at a glass/sample interface. From this result, it was verified that this new scanning microscopy ideally worked.  相似文献

Micropatterning techniques have become increasingly important in cellular biology. Cell patterning is achieved by various methods. Photolithography is one of the most popular methods, and several light sources (e.g., excimer lasers and mercury lamps) are used for that purpose. Vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light that can be produced by an excimer lamp is advantageous for fabricating material patterns, since it can decompose organic materials directly and efficiently without photoresist or photosensitive materials. Despite the advantages, applications of VUV light to pattern biological materials are few. We have investigated cell patterning by using a template of a microstructured organosilane layer fabricated by VUV lithography. We first made a template of a microstructured organosilane layer by VUV lithography. Cell adhesive materials (poly(d-lysine) and polyethyleneimine) were chemically immobilized on the organosilane template, producing a cell adhesive material pattern. Primary rat cardiac and neuronal cells were successfully patterned by culturing them on the pattern substrate. Long-term culturing was attained for up to two weeks for cardiac cells and two months for cortex cells. We have discussed the reproducibility of cell patterning and made suggestions to improve it.  相似文献

采用原位自由基聚合,制备了聚N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺(PDMAA)/黏土(clay)纳米复合水凝胶(D-NCgel),黏土在体系结构中充当多官能团交联点的作用.考察了D-NC gel中溶剂水被交换为醇溶剂时,凝胶结构稳定性,溶胀特性,以及机械性能的变化.D-NC gel在醇溶剂中仍能保持完整的三维网络结构,体系没有瓦解.而且,D-NC gel在醇溶剂中表现出依赖于醇溶剂种类的溶剂交换和溶胀行为.在甲醇中,凝胶溶胀度呈现单调增长,但是在其它醇溶剂,如乙醇、1-丙醇或1-丁醇中,凝胶表现出先收缩后溶胀的特殊溶胀行为.通过在醇溶剂中先溶胀后干燥的方法,制备具有优异机械性能的醇溶剂纳米复合凝胶.与D-NC5 gel相比,D-NC5甲醇凝胶其拉伸力学强度提高了67%(从155 kPa增加到259 kPa),拉伸模量提高了49%(从7.5 kPa增加到11.2kPa).基于凝胶在醇水溶剂中结构可逆性讨论的基础上,探讨了醇溶剂对D-NC水凝胶的改性机理.  相似文献

Accurate quantification of DNA is highly important in various fields. Determination of phosphorus by ICP-MS is one of the most effective methods for accurate quantification of DNA due to the fixed stoichiometry of phosphate to this molecule. In this paper, a smart and reliable method for accurate quantification of DNA fragments and oligodeoxythymidilic acids by hyphenated HPLC/ICP-MS equipped with a highly efficient interface device is presented. The interface was constructed of a home-made capillary-attached micronebulizer and temperature-controllable cyclonic spray chamber (IsoMist). As a separation column for DNA samples, home-made methacrylate-based weak anion-exchange monolith was employed. Some parameters, which include composition of mobile phase, gradient program, inner and outer diameters of capillary, temperature of spray chamber etc., were optimized to find the best performance for separation and accurate quantification of DNA samples. The proposed system could achieve many advantages, such as total consumption for small amount sample analysis, salt-tolerance for hyphenated analysis, high accuracy and precision for quantitative analysis. Using this proposed system, the samples of 20 bp DNA ladder (20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 300, 400, 500 base pairs) and oligodeoxythymidilic acids (dT12–18) were rapidly separated and accurately quantified.  相似文献

Main-chain polymers of chiral imidazolidinone were successfully synthesized by reaction of chiral imidazolidinone dimers with disulfonic acid. Chiral imidazolidinones were incorporated into the main-chain of the polymer by ionic bonding. These polymers could be used as polymeric chiral organocatalysts for asymmetric Diels-Alder reactions.  相似文献

The coil-to-globule transition of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPA) prepared by free-radical redox polymerization in aqueous solutions and its nanocomposite (NC) gels were investigated by differential scanning calorimetery. The lower critical solution temperatures (LCST) of aqueous solutions of PNIPA of different molecular weights were not significantly affected by molecular weight (M w: 0.19?×?106?4.29?×?106?g?×?mol?1) or polymer concentration (1?10?wt%), although the enthalpy of transition increased with molecular weight, at M w (<1.2?×?106 g?×?mol?1). The glass-transition temperature of PNIPA in the dried state also remained constant (138?°C), regardless of molecular weight. On the other hand, the enthalpy of the coil-to-globule transition of PNIPA in NC gels consisting of a PNIPA/clay network decreased with increasing clay concentration (C clay), while the onset temperature (≡LCST) was almost constant, regardless of C clay. The PNIPA chains in NC gels could be classified into the following three types: P-1, which exhibits a normal LCST transition, similar to that of linear PNIPA; P-2, exhibiting restricted transition at higher temperatures as a result of interactions with the clay; and P-3, which does not undergo that transition because of stronger restrictions. It was found that the proportion of P-3 increases with increasing C clay. However, some P-1 and P-2 was still observed, even in NC gels with high C clay. That the transition to the hydrophobic globular state was restricted by interactions with the clay was confirmed by measurements on PNIPA after removal of the clay from NC gels.  相似文献
