Oxiranes, such as glycidyl phenyl ether (GPE) and benzyl glycidate (BG), were copolymerized with succinic anhydride (SA) by lipase at a temperature between 60 and 80°C to yield the corresponding polyesters bearing carboxyl or phenyl groups. The six-membered lactide was polymerized using the ring-opening polymerization with lipase as a catalyst at a temperature between 80 and 130°C in bulk to yield the corresponding polylactide with weight-average molecular weights of up to 126000. The most preferable conditions with respect to the molecular weight of the polylactide are the bulk polymerization using lipase PS at a temperature of 100°C. [reaction: see text] Novel open-shell molecular salts, 2,5,8-tri-tert-butylphenalenyl-1,6-bis(olate) salts, were designed on the basis of the 6-oxophenalenoxyl system and generated by the chemical reduction of 6-hydroxyphenalenone derivatives. Summary: Aliphatic dithiol‐diacid type polythioesters were first enzymatically prepared by the direct polycondensation of hexane‐1,6‐dithiol and diacid diesters using the immobilized lipase from Candida antarctica (lipase CA). As a typical example, diethyl sebacate and hexane‐1,6‐dithiol were polymerized using lipase CA in bulk in the presence of molecular sieves 4A to produce the corresponding polythioester with an of 10 200 in 90% yield. Both the melting and crystallization temperatures of the produced polythioesters were higher when compared to those of the corresponding polyoxyesters. A higher molecular weight polythioester was produced using lipase in a two‐step procedure, i.e., cyclization with subsequent ring‐opening polymerization.

Phase behavior of silica-filled poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) network was investigated by wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) under various strain ratio between room temperature and ?100 °C, and anomalous polymorphic behavior was discovered. At room temperature, when sufficient strain was applied, PDMS network was found to transform into the mesomorphic phase from which only a pair of sharp equatorial reflections and faint meridional scattering were obtained in the WAXD pattern. At low temperature, PDMS network crystallized into one of three different crystal forms according to strain ratio. These crystal forms were denoted as α, transient, and β forms in the descending order of corresponding strain ratio. The mesomorphic phase at room temperature transformed into the crystalline α form by reducing temperature. There was an anomalous feature about the transition of the crystalline forms that the position of reflections in the WAXD pattern changed continuously and reversibly with strain between the α and the β forms through the transient form, while keeping the diffraction angles almost unchanged.  相似文献
