We intended to develop a desired ointment base suitable for treatment of bedsores including the proliferation of granulation and epidermis. The main bedsore bacteria detected in our hospital were S. aureus in gram-positive coccus and P. aeruginosa in gram-negative bacillus. As the macrogol ointment (MO) was found to have bactericidal effects on these bacteria, MO was adopted as the base for the objective ointment. To improve the properties of the ointment base such as regulating the humidity of the exudation and controlling the release of antibiotics formulated in the ointment, co-formulating effects of various additives to MO were evaluated. The sustained release function of the ointment base was obtained by adding hydrophilic petrolatum (HP) to MO. However, the resultant ointment was found to have a poor humidity regulating property. On the other hand, MO containing 5% of hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) showed both the humidity regulating and the controlled drug releasing properties. It was considered that HPC particles dispersed in the ointment could be swelled by absorbing water to form a gel network. The curd tension meter tests for the ointments prepared with the various polymers showed that the MO-HPC base, which showed the highest sustained drug releasing property, was found to have the highest hardness. This result means that HPC formulated into the base forms the most rigid gel structure to resist the erosion of the ointment and to control the drug release. 相似文献

In this study, we have investigated the singlet oxygen ((1)Delta(g)) generation mechanism using phthalocyaninatosilicon (SiPc) covalently linked to nitroxide radicals (NRs), and we succeeded in increasing the singlet oxygen quantum yield (Phi(Delta)) by linking the NRs. This originates from both an increase in the triplet quantum yield and excited-state lifetimes long enough to utilize photochemical reactions. Because the electron exchange interactions with paramagnetic species were known to result only in very fast excited-state relaxation, leading to a decrease in photochemical reaction yields, this increase in Phi(Delta) is an unusual and precious example for increasing photochemical reaction yields by electron exchange interactions with paramagnetic species. In addition, our experiments and theoretical analyses show that the spin-selective energy transfer rate constant is not influenced by linking the NRs and can be evaluated by the product of spin-statistical factors and matrix elements between the initial and final states. 相似文献

Highly Selective Separation of Rhodopsin from Bovine Rod Outer Segment Membranes Using Combination of Divalent Cation and Alkyl(thio)glucoside 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The micellization process of bovine rod outer segment (ROS) membranes is investigated utilizing a series of neutral detergents. It is found that when alkyl(thio)glucosides with an appropriate hydrophilic–lipophilic balance (e.g. octylthioglucoside) are used in combination with a divalent cation, rhodopsin is selectively extracted from ROS membranes at a specific detergent-to-membrane ratio. This allows remarkable purification of rhodopsin by a single-step solubilization, because the residual membranes are heavily aggregated in the presence of divalent cation and are therefore easily sedimented by low-speed centrifugation. The absorption spectrum of the supernatant reproducibly exhibits an A280 /A500 value of 1.6, an excellent value that could rarely be obtained by chromatographic purification. The degree of purification also depends on the type of divalent cation included in the solubilization solution; specific binding of IIB-series cations (Zn2+ and Cd2+ ) to ROS membranes is suggested to play an important role in the solubilization process. The present result represents a unique example of selective solubilization of a specific membrane protein from highly aggregated membranes. 相似文献

Nylon-6 substrates were coated with SiO2 thin films by the sol-gel method and their water permeability coefficient was evaluated. Methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) were used as starting materials. The addition of MTES to TEOS has enabled the formation of crack-free thin films on the substrates. The thin films strongly adhered to the substrates. The water permeability coefficients of nylon-6 substrates coated with these thin films decreased with the increase in the ratio of TEOS to the total alkoxides. The pretreatment of the nylon-6 substrates with -aminopropyltriethoxysilane was found to be effective to suppress the water permeability. The water permeability was suppressed by about 40% under the optimal condition. 相似文献
