Reactions of azinium cations. 7. 13C NMR spectra and electron structure of neutral σ-adducts of 1,4-diazinium cations and methylate anion

The ¹³C NMR spectra have been recorded of a number of -adducts formed by pyrazinium, quinoxalinium, and pteridinium cations with methylate anion. Reaction of azinium cations. 5. Addition of water and methanol to 1,4-diazinium cations in the presence of bases. equilibrium constants and PMR spectra of the mono- and diadducts

The PK_R+ values and equilibrium constants for the addition of hydroxide ions to 1,4-diazinium ions were determined by spectrophotometry. Synthesis of polynuclear azoles linked through carbamate and urea bridges

Polynuclear azoles linked through carbamate and urea fragments were synthesized by reactions of the corresponding azolecarboxylic acid azides with heterocyclic alcohols and amines.     

Molecular ruler based on concurrent measurements of enhanced Raman scattering and fluorescence

We report a way to assess the separation between a molecule and a metal surface on account of both Raman scattering and fluorescence intensities measured simultaneously. This approach has no need for an accurate quantity of molecules and bears 1 nm resolution. Its distance sensitivity is experimentally demonstrated in the case of dye molecules lying on a gold surface with a polymer spacer layer in between and is compared with theoretical prediction.     

Phototransferred Thermoluminescence of Dosimetric α-Al<Subscript>2</Subscript>O<Subscript>3</Subscript> Crystals Irradiated by a Pulsed Electron Beam

The thermoluminescence (TL) of deep traps of anion-defective alumina monocrystals irradiated by a high-dose (more than 1 kGy) pulsed electron beam (130 keV) is studied. The deep traps in the studied material are classified according to the TL temperature range. It is demonstrated that the phototransferred thermoluminescence (PTTL) in the temperature range of the main TL peak is induced by optical charge migration from deep traps that are emptied at 400–470 and 470–600°C. An anomalous PTTL enhancement in crystals subjected to stepped annealing in the 350–400°C interval is observed. It is demonstrated that this effect may be caused by competing processes of charge transfer that involve deep traps corresponding to the TL peak at 390°C. The applicability of PTTL in the dosimetry of high-dose (1–50 kGy) pulsed electron beams is established.
