Formation of ternary ion associates using diprotic acid dyes and its application to determination of cationic surfactants 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A sensitive and selective method is described for the determination of cationic surfactants, such as benzethonium, benzalkonium, cetylpyridinium and trimethylstearylammonium, based on the formation and extraction of ternary ion associates with an acid dye (bromophenol blue or bromochlorophenol blue) and quinidine. Quinidine reacts with divalent anionic dyestuffs to form a bulky 11 complex anion, which is extractable into 1,2-dichloroethane as ternary ion associates with cationic surfactants in nearly neutral media. The ternary ion associate gives a blue product. Linearity of the calibration curve is improved and the extractability of the cationic surfactants is enhanced in the presence of quinidine. In addition, many other amines do not interfere with the determination. The blue ion associates can be used for the selective and sensitive spectrophotometric determination of cationic surfactants. 相似文献

The free radical polymerization of vinyl monomers such as styrene, methylmethacrylate, methyacrylate, acrylonitrile, vinylacetate, etc. in the presence of diphenylbutadiyne, was investigated. Both rates of polymerization and molecular weights of polymer decreased by the addition of diphenylbutadiyne. The degree of retardation depended on the stability of propagating radicals. Benzofuro[2,3-b]quinoline ( Ia ) and its 11-methyl derivative ( Ib ) were synthesized by demethylcyclization of 3-(o-methoxyphenyl)-1,2-dihydroquinolin-2-ones (VIa,b). Benzofuro[2,3-b]quinoline-11-carboxylic acid (Id) was synthesized by chlorination followed by the action of potassium hydroxide of a lactone (IX) prepared by demethyl-cyclization of 3-(o-methoxyphenyl)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-4-carboxylic acid (VIII). Isomeric benzofuro[3,2-c]quinoline (Ha) and its 6-methyl derivative (IIb) were synthesized by demethyl-cyclization of 3-(o-methoxyphenyl)-1,4-dihydroquinolin-4-ones (XIa,b). Both the methyl derivatives (Ib and IIb) were converted to the carboxylic acids (Id and IId) through condensation with benzaldehyde followed by oxidation. A high‐voltage rectangular pulse was applied to the electro‐spray deposition (ESD) to control the evaporation‐induced self‐assembly of poly(3‐hexylthiophene‐2,5‐diyl) (P3HT). Two groups of P3HT thin films were deposited by a series of high‐voltage rectangular pulses. Compared with the ESD driven by a constant voltage, the pulse‐driven ESD enables to probe the effect of solvent evaporation on the self‐assembly of P3HT molecules. The droplet size and the evaporation of residual solvent in the droplet determine the film morphology. Ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy was used to identify the ordering of P3HT molecules in the films. The self‐assembly of P3HT molecules took place during the solvent evaporation which can be controlled by a combination of the pulse amplitude and the pulse interval. With an appropriate combination of the amplitude and the interval, the ESD produced a P3HT thin film with high chain ordering.
