In this paper, we introduce a valuation model of callable warrants under a setting of the optimal stopping problem between the holder (investor) and the issuer (firm). A warrant is the right to purchase new shares at a predetermined price. When the new stocks are issued, the value of the stock is diluted. We consider the model taking the dilution into account. After identifying optimal policies for the issuer and the investor, we explore the analytical properties of the optimal exercise and call boundaries for the holder and the issuer, respectively. Furthermore, the value of such a callable warrant and the optimal critical prices are examined numerically using the binomial method. 相似文献

The origin of a ferromagnetic interaction between Cu2+ ions in the Cu2+–DNA system which reported by Tanaka et al. is examined by using DFT calculations. In order to consider effects of an entanglement and a dis-entanglement of the double helix chain, three types of structural disorders i.e. distance, rotation angle and discrepancy in XY-plane, are considered in the model dimer structure. All calculated results show that Jab values are weak anti-ferromagnetic couplings. Boltzmann distribution simulation indicates that the high spin (HS) species exist 21% at 1.5 K by thermal excitation within the model structure. 相似文献

Peptides with an N-alkoxy or N-aryloxy amino acid at their N-terminus were synthesized and successfully ligated with a peptide thioester by silver ion activation under a slightly acidic condition without requiring protection of the side chain amino groups. The N-methoxy group was easily cleaved by the SmI2 reduction in CH3OH aq. to obtain the desired peptide with a native peptide bond. This method was successfully applied to the synthesis of the human atrial natriuretic peptide showing the efficiency of the novel ligation. 相似文献

We have fabricated novel nanofibrous fluorinated polyimide membranes on a specially designed collector, which is composed of conductive aluminum plates and glass insulator materials and can be removed from the apparatus, using an electrospinning method. We describe the structure and water flux properties of the nanofibrous fluorinated polyimide membranes. The electrospun nanofibers were deposited across the plates and uniaxially aligned to the collector. In addition, the multi‐layer stacked nanofibrous membranes, consisting of three‐dimensionally ordered nanopores, were produced. The pure water fluxes for the stacked membranes were measured, using a stirred dead‐end filtration cell, and were linearly decreased with an increasing deposition time, indicating that the nanopores formed in the nanofibrous membrane were further narrowed due to the regularly accumulated nanofibers. The wavelet transform has been shown to be a useful tool for multivariate calibration. However, the choice of wavelet transform settings (wavelet family, length and number of decomposition levels) for a given application is still an open problem. The present paper proposes an alternative approach, which consists of generating an ensemble model by combining individual models obtained with different wavelet transform settings. The advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated in two analytical problems, namely the determination of moisture and protein in wheat by near infrared spectroscopy and the determination of specific mass and three distillation temperatures (T10, T50, T90) in gasoline by middle infrared spectroscopy. In these problems, the results varied considerably among individual models, which underlines the risk associated to an inadequate choice of wavelet transform settings. In contrast, the ensemble model always provided adequate results in terms of prediction error and noise sensitivity. The proposed method can be seen as an advantageous alternative for multivariate calibration in the wavelet domain, as it frees the analyst from the need to choose a particular configuration for the wavelet transform. 相似文献

We have investigated the heat generation from gold nanoparticles resulting from their local plasma resonance. We have demonstrated the self-assembly of Au nanoparticle arrays/dielectric layer/Ag mirror sandwiches, i.e., a local plasmon resonator, using a dynamic oblique deposition technique. The thicknesses of the Au and dielectric layers were changed combinatorially on a single substrate. As a result, local plasmon resonator chips were successfully fabricated. Because of strong interference, their optical absorption can be controlled between 0.0% and 97% in the near-IR region, depending on the thickness of the dielectric layer. We evaluated the heat generation from Au nanoparticles by measuring the temperature of water with which a cell prepared on a chip is filled under laser illumination. The change in the water temperature is proportional to the optical absorption of the local plasmon resonator chips. This suggests that the photothermal conversion efficiency can be controlled by interference. These features make the application of the local plasmon resonator to nanoheaters, which can spatiotemporally control heat generation, suitable. 相似文献

Abstract Regioisomeric 61, 6n-bis-O-(monomethoxytrityl) or 61, 6n-bis-O-(dimethoxytrityl) cyclomaltohexaose, -cyclomaltoheptaose (n = 2-4), and -cyclomaltooctaose derivatives (n = 2-5) were prepared by the reaction of cyclomaltohexaose (1, cG6, αCD), cyclomaltoheptaose (11, cG7, βCD) or cyclomaltooctaose (21, cG8, γCD) and 4-monomethoxytrityl chloride or 4,4′-dimethoxytrityl chloride in pyridine. Products were isolated by HPLC. Two new classes of mono- and oligo(p-phenylene ethynylene)s grafted with polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) were synthesized via ‘click’ chemistry and palladium-catalyzed Sonogashira cross-coupling. These materials with cubic silsesquioxanes are very robust with excellent thermal stability in air (T5%loss>330 °C) and exhibited Tg>80 °C. All the compounds showed high photoluminescence with a range of blue emission and quantum yield up to 80% in the solution. Extended π conjugation molecules of oligo-pPEs POSS maintain relatively high PL quantum efficiencies in the solid state, compared to mono-pPEs POSS. A preliminary report is made of some of the materials as multilayer OLED components with active dopants PVK and PBD. 相似文献
