The effects of -cyclodextrin (-CyD), heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)--cyclodextrin (DMCyD) and heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)--cyclodextrin (TMCyD) ontrans-cis photoisomerization of 1-ethyl-4-(4-hydroxystyryl)pyridinium (POH) have been studied in aqueous solutions. The ratio of [cis]/[trans] for POH in the photostationary state at pH 8.54 was remarkably reduced by the presence of CyD or DMCyD. The reduction of the [cis]/[trans] ratio in the photostationary state was explained in terms of the shift of the equilibrium of POH

formation. The binding constants of CyD and DMCyD for PO

Silanethione compounds, R2Si=S, have been recognized as highly reactive species. One reliable way to stabilize silanethione is its coordination to transition metal fragments to convert silanethione-coordinated transition metal complexes. Herein, we report the synthesis, structure, and reactivity of a second cationic silanethione tungsten complex [Cp*(OC)3W{S=SiR2(py)}]TFPB (R=Me ( 5 a ), Ph ( 5 b ), Cp*: η5-C5Me5, py: pyridine, and TFPB−: [B{3,5-(CF3)2C6H3}4]−). Complex 5 was obtained by H− abstraction from the Si atom in the corresponding silylsulfanyl complex Cp*(OC)3W(SSiR2H) ( 4 ) with Ph3CTFPB, followed by the addition of pyridine. High-pressure phases IV and V of calcium discovered in 2005 have the highest superconducting transition temperature of 25 K among all the elements; however, their crystal structures have not been determined. In systematic research on a series of new nonlinear organic materials, we found that Bis (4-nitrophenoxy) methane (BNPM) showed a large intensity of second harmonic light, which was 4.4 times as large as that of urea crystal by powder technique and easily crystallized from a solution. The crystal structure of BNPM, obtained by the X-ray diffraction method, was orthorhombic, space group P21212 (point group 222), with unit-sell dimension a = 10.205 Å; b = 12.854 Å; c = 4.8822 Å. In addition, we found that the absorption edge of BNPM was 430 nm with a 0.9-mm-thick crystal, and we observed the second harmonic light with BNPM single crystal at the wavelength of 1064 nm and in the range from 906 nm to 990 nm. 相似文献

In various trials for elucidating the physiological function of pokeweed antiviral protein (PAP), studies on the interaction with sugar are essential. The fluorescence titration curves showed that PAP retained the strong affinity against N-acetylglucosamine (NAG) and two sites in one PAP molecule co-operatively participated in the binding. In the complex of PAP with NAG, Trp208 located at the entrance lid site of substrate came closer to Tyr72 about 0.3 Å. Furthermore, the fluorescence anisotropy decay measurement demonstrated that the segmental rotation of Trp208 was enlarged by the binding of PAP with NAG. Such conformational changes around the active site closely correlate with the enzymatic activity of PAP. The N-glycosidase activity of PAP was enhanced more than two times in the presence of NAG. The obtained results consistently suggested the enzymatic activity of PAP would be regulated through the conformation change near the active site induced by the binding with NAG. 相似文献
