Microfluidic methodologies are becoming increasingly important for rapid formulation and screening of materials, and development of analytical tools for multiple sample screening is a critical step in achieving a combinatorial 'lab on a chip' approach. This work demonstrates the application of Raman spectroscopy for analysis of monomer composition and degree of conversion of methacrylate-based droplets in a microfluidic device. Droplet formation was conducted by flow focusing on the devices, and a gradient of component composition was created by varying the flow rates of the droplet-phase fluids into the microchannels. Raman data were collected using a fiber optic probe from a stationary array of the droplets/particles on the device, followed by partial least squares (PLS) calibration of the first derivative (1600 cm(-1) to 1550 cm(-1)) allowing successful measurement of monomer composition with a standard error of calibration (SEC) of +/-1.95% by volume. Following photopolymerization, the percentage of double bond conversion of the individual particles was calculated from the depletion of the normalized intensity of the C[double bond, length as m-dash]C stretching vibration at 1605 cm(-1). Raman data allowed accurate measurement of the decrease in double bond conversion as a function of increasing crosslinker concentration. The results from the research demonstrate that Raman spectroscopy is an effective, on-chip analytical tool for screening polymeric materials on the micrometre scale.  相似文献

We report the anion photoelectron spectrum of I2- taken at 5.826 eV detachment energy using velocity mapped imaging. The photoelectron spectrum exhibits bands resulting from transitions to the bound regions of the X 1Sigmag+(0g+), A' 3Piu(2u), A 3Piu(1u), and B 3Piu(0u+) electronic states as well as bands resulting from transitions to the repulsive regions of several I2 electronic states: the B' 3Piu(0u-), B" 1Piu(1u), 3Pig(2g), a 3Pig(1g), 3Pig(0g-), and C 3Sigmau+(1u) states. We simulate the photoelectron spectrum using literature parameters for the I2- and I2 ground and excited states. The photoelectron spectrum includes bands resulting from transitions to several high-lying excited states of I2 that have not been seen experimentally: 3Pig(0g-), 1Pig3(1g), 1 3Sigmag-3(0g+), and the 1Sigmag-3(0u-) states of I2. Finally, the photoelectron spectrum at 5.826 eV allows for the correction of a previous misassignment for the vertical detachment energy of the I2 B 3Piu(0u+) state.  相似文献

The development of (99m)Tc-estradiol radiopharmaceuticals would be advantageous for the detection of estrogen receptor-positive breast tumors. Estradiol derivatives conjugated to organometallic tricarbonyl-Tc(I) and related Re(I) complexes are capable of achieving high receptor binding affinity, but effective methods for synthesizing radiolabeled complexes in water are not available. Our interest in the synthesis of 2-hydrazinopyridines as ligands for Tc and Re led us to investigate Pd-catalyzed amination reactions of halo-pyridine substrates with di-tert-butyl hydrazodiformate. Both 2- and 4-substituted halo-pyridine substrates undergo C-N coupling with di-tert-butyl hydrazodiformate to produce Boc-protected pyridine hydrazine derivatives. Only highly electrophilic 3-pyridine halides were converted to the hydrazine. The Boc-protected 5-bromopyridin-2-yl hydrazine substrate 3 was prepared by regioselective substitution at the 2-position of 2,5-dibromopyridine. This bifunctional chelate was attached to ethynyl or vinyl groups at the 17alpha position of estradiol, using Sonogashira and Suzuki/Miyaura coupling reactions to synthesize 1 and 2 in high yields, respectively. Deprotection of 1 under acidic conditions provided the hydrazine hydrochloride salt 25. The 17alpha-estradiol-tricarbonylrhenium(I) complex 4 was synthesized by labeling 25 with fac-[Re(OH(2))(3)(CO)(3)](+) in aqueous ethanol. This complex exhibited excellent stability and high receptor binding affinity for the estrogen receptor, and it is a promising model for evaluation of the analogous Tc-99m complexes as diagnostic imaging agents for breast tumors.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of poly(α,α,α′,α′-tetrafluoro-p-xylylene) (parylene AF-4) films with thicknesses of ca. 7.5 and 10 μm has been studied by both dynamic (10°C min?1) and isothermal TG in either nitrogen or oxygen atmospheres. In dynamic studies with nitrogen, gross decomposition occurs between 546.7±1.4 and 589.0±2.6°C, with 26.8±4.4% of the initial mass remaining at 700°C. With oxygen as the purge gas, the onset of decomposition shifts slightly to 530.8±4.2°C. The end of the transition at 587.4±2.6°C is within experimental error of the nitrogen value, but no polymer remains above 600°C. Isothermal data were obtained at 10°C intervals from 420 to 490°C in nitrogen, and from 390 to 450°C in oxygen. Plots of log(Δ%wt/Δt)vs. T?1 are linear throughout the specified range for oxygen and from 420 to 470°C for nitrogen. The calculated activation energies of (147±16) kJ mol?1 and (150±12) kJ mol?1 in N2 and O2, respectively, are equal within experimental error.  相似文献
