In e(+)e(-) collisions using the CLEO detector, we have studied the decay of the D0 to the final state K(0)(S)pi(+)pi(-) with the initial flavor of the D0 tagged by the decay D(*+)-->D0pi(+). We use the Dalitz technique to measure the resonant substructure in this final state and clearly observe ten different contributions by fitting for their amplitudes and relative phases. We observe a K(*)(892)(+)pi(-) component which arises from doubly Cabibbo suppressed decays or D0-D0; mixing. 相似文献

We report on a search for charmless hadronic B decays to the three-body final states K(0)(S)h(+)pi(-), K(+)h(-)pi(0), K(0)(S)h(+)pi(0) (h(+/-) denotes a charged pion or kaon), and their charge conjugates, using 13.5 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity produced near sqrt[s]=10.6 GeV, and collected with the CLEO detector. We observe the decay B-->K0pi(+)pi(-) with a branching fraction (50(+10)(-9)(stat.)+/-7(syst.))x10(-6) and the decay B-->K(*+)(892)pi(-) with a branching fraction (16(+6)(-5)(stat.)+/-2(syst.))x10(-6). 相似文献

We consider the condensate wave function of a rapidly rotating two-component Bose gas with an equal number of particles in each component. If the interactions between like and unlike species are very similar (as occurs for two hyperfine states of (87)Rb or (23)Na) we find that the two components contain identical rectangular vortex lattices, where the unit cell has an aspect ratio of sqrt[3], and one lattice is displaced to the center of the unit cell of the other. Our results are based on an exact evaluation of the vortex lattice energy in the large angular momentum (or quantum Hall) regime. 相似文献

A series of overlayer structures, starting with a c(3 × 1) geometry are formed during the dissociative chemisorption of chlorine, bromine, and iodine on Fe(110). These adlayers provide an opportunity to systematically examine the corresponding changes in electronic band structure as a function of coverage and adsorbate. At coverage levels greater than
low-energy electron diffraction patterns obtained from the halogen-covered Fe(110) surface evolve continuously with coverage. The electronic band structure was examined as a function of coverage and adsorbate species via angle-resolved ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. It is concluded that the electronic band structure measurements support an incommensurate structural model for halogen overlayer geometry on Fe(110) in which an overlayer lattice, that is in general incommensurate with the substrate, rotates and compresses with increases in coverage. An alternative interpretation of the diffraction results based on antiphase domain boundaries within the overlayer is not consistent with the photoemission data. The incommensurate model emphasizes adatom-adatom interactions over adatom-substrate interactions while the reverse is true for the antiphase boundary model. 相似文献

In the orthorhombic phase of KnbO3 an EPR spectrum of Fe3+ substitutional for Nb5+ has been observed with the main axis parallel to the pseudocubic one of the orthorhombic phase. Missing mass spectra were obtained by measuring recoil protons from the reaction p+p→p+X in the Jacobian peak region. Data were taken during the acceleration ramp of the Fermilab machine using an internal hydrogen gas jet target. The density of states for the Ni-Cu alloy system has been calculated as a function of concentration by the supercell method. This method takes into account inter-site interactions in contrast with current effective medium or single site theories. We show that the method is practical for the study of disordered systems. The excitation function for the elastic-scattering reaction p( 18Ne, p) 18Ne was measured with the first radioactive beam from the SPIRAL facility at the GANIL laboratory and with a solid cryogenic hydrogen target.
