The diffractive production of charmed strangeD s * and possiblyD s mesons by neutrinos and antineutrinos on nucleons in hydrogen, deuterium and neon targets is observed. The slope parameter of thet distribution is 3.3±0.8 (GeV)?2. The production rate per charged current neutrino interaction with an isoscalar target times the D s + →φτ+ branching fraction is (1.03±0.27)×10?4.  相似文献

Chemical and electronic properties of scrapecleaned YBa2Cu3O7–(YBCO) ceramics, which were also annealed in vacuum or exposed to H atoms or O2 molecules, were studied at room temperature by applying Auger electron (AES) and low-energy electron energy-loss spectroscopy (LEELS). Scanning electron micrographs showed such scraped surfaces to consist mainly of small, fractured YBCO crystallites, i.e. of clean YBCO surfaces. With only one exception, all low-energy AES lines were found to be shifted in energy compared to data recorded with surfaces of metallic Cu and Y. The analysis of the high-energy AES lines indicated the existence of non-stoichiometric material in grain boundaries. At least 25 different LEELS features were recorded. The 24.9-eV energy loss, which is due to the excitation of bulk valence-electron plasmons, indicates an enhanced oxygen deficit s 0.8 at scrape-cleaned YBCO surfaces. Annealing of scraped YBCO samples at approximately 700 K in vacuum and also their exposure to hydrogen atoms resulted in an additional oxygen depletion within a few atomic layers near to the surfaces. These oxygen deficiencies were found to increase the intensity ratios of low-and high-energy AES lines of Cu, Ba, and Y and to intensify the energy-loss peak at 4.4 eV which has been attributed to O–Cu–O dumbbells.  相似文献

We present an extended set of incoherent neutron scattering measurements on the van der Waals liquido-terphenyl, obtained by time-of-flight and backscattering spectroscopy. In the supercooled liquid regime, data from three instruments are combined and analysed in terms of the selfcorrelationS(Q, t). In the time range 1...100 ps, the crossover from -to -relaxation is well described by the masterfunction of mode coupling theory, and fitted parameters are consistent with the previously established critical temperatureT c [Z. Phys. B83, 175 (1991)]. In the glassy regime, vibrations are harmonic and can be described by a density of states. Deviations at lowQ are quantitatively explained by a multiple scattering simulation. Throughout the article, experimental difficulties are discussed in some detail.  相似文献

We determine the instability line separating the paramagnetic phase in the phase diagram of the 2-d Hubbard Model from a phase with incommensurate magnetic order. A mean-field approximation of the Kotliar-Ruckenstein slave boson representation is used to calculate the wave-vector dependent magnetic susceptibility. For largeU/t the instability occurs at a densityn0.37, and a wave-vector close toq=(0,). The dependence ofq onU andn is also given.  相似文献

Total cross section measurements at various neutron energies were performed on metallic and oxide samples of natural Sc, Ti, V, and Mn. By means of the Christiansen filter technique the coherent scattering lengths were determined on natural and isotopically enriched samples of Ti-, V-, and Mn-compounds. From the measured values we deduced the following data:
  • ? the absorption cross sections (at 0.0253 eV in barn) ofnatTi (6.43±0.06) and ofnatV (5.06±0.04);
  • ? the bound coherent scattering lengths (in fm) ofnatTi (?3.370±0.013),46Ti (4.72±0.05),47Ti (3.53±0.07),48Ti (?5.86±0.02),49Ti (0.98±0.05),50Ti (5.88±0.10),natV (?0.443±0.014), and Mn (?3.750±0.018);
  • ? the free potential radii (in fm) of Sc (3.60 ±0.10),46Ti (3.50±0.10),47Ti (3.60±0.10),48Ti (3.90±0.10),49Ti (4.10 ±0.15),50Ti (4.50±0.15),51V (5.20±0.20), and Mn (6.50±20).
  • On the basis of the well known resonance parameters in combination with new fits of bound levels the spin state scattering lengths, the spin incoherence, and the obtained potential radii are discussed. Total cross section calculations were performed by multi-level formalism and are compared with the measurements.  相似文献

    The absolute cross section of the fusion reaction 10B(p, 1)7 has been measured at the c.m. energy range E=48 to 159 keV via the 429 keV secondary -ray transition. The studies involved high proton currents and thick solid 10Btargets.     We report a high-power source of coherent picosecond light pulses based on optical parametric generation and amplification in LiB3O5 and AgGaS2 crystals. The spectral range of this continuously tunable source covers the visible, near-infrared and medium-infrared spectrum from 0.41 to 12.9 m. An optical parametric generator and amplifier, consisting of two type-I phase-matched LiB3O5 crystals and a diffraction grating, is pumped by the third harmonic of a picosecond Nd:YAG laser and provides spectrally narrow, high-power pulses from 0.41 to 2.4 m. Energy conversion efficiencies up to 16 percent are achieved. The pulse duration is about 14 ps, the bandwidth between 10 and 30 cm–1. The tuning range is extended to 12.9 m by mixing the infrared output between 1.16 and 2.13 m with the fundamental of the Nd:YAG laser in type-I-phase-matched AgGaS2 crystals. Up to 25 percent of the pulse energy at 1.064 m is converted into parametric infrared pulses. Bandwidths between 3 and 8 cm–1 and a pulse duration of approximately 19 ps are measured for these pulses. We also observe a retracing behaviour in the tuning curve of AgGaS2 not reported before.  相似文献

    We present the results obtained from a series of +-coincidence measurements in heavy-ion collisions using the double-Orange-spectrometer at GSI. The collision systems U+U, U+Pb, and U+Ta were investigated at bombarding energies close to and slightly above (U+Ta) the Coulomb barrier. For all systems studied, very narrow (FWHM–20 keV) + lines were observed in the sum-energy spectra, with kinetic energies ranging from 555 keV to 810 keV, superimposed on a continuous distribution mainly due to uncorrelated + emission. Particularly in the U+Ta system, a pronounced sum-energy line appears at 634 keV, predominantly in deep-inelastic collisions. In some cases (e.g. U+Pb) the line characteristics is consistent with a two-body decay mode of an emitter which moves with the c.m. velocity of the colliding ions. However, other lines, and in particular the 634 keV line (U+Ta), exhibit a rather isotropical opening-angle distribution whereas their energy is unequally shared between positrons and electrons, thus being in clear disagreement with this scenario. In general, the data preclude an emission from the separated (moving) nuclei, and, in the latter cases, provide evidence that the e+e-pair decay occurs in the vicinity of the Coulomb field of a third heavy (positively charged) partner having only a small transverse velocity (|v|<>Dedicated to Prof. B.     We present an alternative parameterization of the quark-diquark model of baryons which particularly takes care of the most recent proton electric form-factor data from the E136 experiment at SLAC. In addition to electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon, for which good agreement with data is achieved, we discuss the weak axial vector form factor of the nucleon as well as electromagnetic form factors of and hyperons. Technical advance in calculating the pertinent analytic expressions within perturbative quantum chromodynamics is gained by formulating the wave function of the quark-diquark system in a covariant way.     The photopyroelectric (PPE) technique is used to measure the specific heat of YBa2Cu3O7–X thin films. Hysteresis in the PPE amplitude is observed in the temperature range 90 K to 250 K. Peaks in the inverse PPE amplitude at T=110 K in the cooling path and at T230 K in the heating path are observed. The magnitude of hysteresis depends upon the thermal history of the sample.  相似文献
