Various nitro/nitrile-functionalized benzimidazol-2-ylidene carbene complexes of silver(I) (7ad and 11ad) were synthesized by combination of 1-allyl/1-isopropyl/1-sec-butyl/1-isopentyl-3-(nitro/cyano-benzyl)-3H-benzimidazol-1-ium hexafluorophosphate (6ad and 10ad) with silver(I) oxide in acetonitrile. The compounds were characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, FT-IR, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. Additionally, the in vitro antibacterial activity of the N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors (6ad and 10ad) and their corresponding NHC-silver(I) complexes (7ad and 11ad) were investigated against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli using the qualitative Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. All the NHC-silver(I) complexes exhibited medium-to-high antibacterial activity with areas of clearance ranging from 12 mm to 21 mm, while the NHC precursors were inactive against both strains of bacteria.  相似文献

The current work entails development of rapid, sensitive, and inexpensive high-performance liquid chromatographic method of quercetin dihydrate using the quality by design approach. Quality target method profile was defined and critical analytical attributes (CAAs) were earmarked. Chromatographic separation was accomplished on a C18 column using acetonitrile and ammonium acetate buffer (35:65) %v/v (containing 0.1% acetic acid, pH 3.5) as mobile phase at 0.7?mL/min flow rate with UV detector at 237?nm. Screening studies using fractional factorial design revealed that organic modifier, injection volume, column temperature, and buffer strength have significant influence on method CAAs, namely, peak area, retention time, and peak tailing. The critical method parameters were systematically optimized using Box–Behnken design. Response surface mapping was used along with numerical optimization and desirability function for identifying the optimal chromatographic conditions. Linearity was observed in the drug concentration ranging between 2 and 50?µg/mL. Accuracy analysis revealed mean % recovery between 93.6 and 96.2%, while precision study revealed mean % recovery between 93.7 and 96.5%. Limits of detection and quantification of the developed method were found to be 12.1 and 36.6?ng/mL. Overall, the studies construed successful development of chromatographic method of quercetin with enhanced method performance.  相似文献

Metal quinolates, Liq Alq3 Znq2 Mgq2 exhibit efficient luminescence in blue green region and find applications as emission layer in OLEDs. In most of these quinolates the excitation spectra are broad in the range 350 to 410 nm, just short of emission spectra of efficient GaN based blue LEDs. In this paper we report metal quinolates synthesized by slightly modified method in which the excitation gets extended beyond 450 nm so that there is better overlap between emission spectra of blue LED and the excitation spectra. Therefore these phosphors may be used for PC-LED applications.  相似文献

Orientational order parameter S is evaluated in the nematic phase of six liquid crystal compounds, N-(p-n-propyl benzylidene)-p-n-alkoxy anilines, 3.Om and N-(p-n-propyloxy benzylidene)-p-n-alkoxy anilines, 3O.Om compounds with m = 6, 7 and 8, using different methods. The techniques employed are S from birefringence δn, Haller's approximation from (1?T/Tc) β, effective geometry parameter αg and Vuks’ scaling factor SC. The values of S obtained using the above methods are compared with one another and with the results on a number of liquid crystals; the liquid crystals favor isotropic Vuks’ method.  相似文献

Abstract

A new series of α-aminophosphonates have been synthesized by a one-pot three-component reaction of 2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxine-6-carbaldehyde, various amines, and dimethyl phosphite by using nano-TiO2 as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions at 50°C. The major advantages of the present method are high yields, short reaction times, recyclable catalyst, and solvent-free reaction conditions. Among these new structurally diversified set of α-aminophosphonates, dimethyl (2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxin-6-yl)(3-nitrophenylamino) methylphosphonate and dimethyl (2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxin-6-yl)(4-fluoro-3-nitro-phenyl-amino) methylphosphonate have shown higher antioxidant activity in diphenyl picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging, reducing power assay, and lipid peroxidation methods.  相似文献

Blends of Pullulan (PU) and Polyacrylamide (PAM) having biomedical applications were prepared and characterized in order to evaluate the miscibility of natural component with the synthetic one. Blends with different composition ratios were prepared using water as common solvent. Viscosity, ultrasonic velocity and density were measured at 30 and 40°C. Furthermore, the blend films were prepared by a solution casting method and analyzed by DSC, FTIR and TGA methods. Results of ultrasonic and density methods revealed the semi-miscibility of the blend. Using viscosity data, interaction parameters (Chee's ‘μ’ and Sun's ‘α’) were computed. The values confirmed that the blend is miscible when the Pullulan content is less than 20% in the blend. Change in temperature had no effect on the miscibility nature of the blends. Intermolecular interactions of hydrogen bonding type were confirmed by DSC and FTIR methods. Thermal behavior of blends was investigated using TGA method.  相似文献

The use of diazonium salts for aryl radical generation and C? H arylation processes has been known since 1896 when Pschorr first used the reaction for intramolecular cyclizations. Meerwein developed it further in the early 1900s into a general arylation method. However, this reaction could not compete with the transition‐metal‐mediated formation of C(sp2)? C(sp2) bonds. The replacement of the copper catalyst with iron and titanium compounds improved the situation, but the use of photocatalysis to induce the one‐electron reduction and activation of the diazonium salts is even more advantageous. The first photocatalyzed Pschorr cyclization was published in 1984, and just last year a series of papers described applications of photocatalytic Meerwein arylations leading to aryl–alkene coupling products. In this Minireview we summarize the origins of this reaction and its scope and applications.  相似文献

The Biginelli-type compounds 4,5,8a-triarylhexahydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,7(1H,3H)-diones were synthesized by a one-pot three-component reaction using sulfated tin oxide as a reusable catalyst.
