In the first part we generalize the notion of strongly independent sets, introduced in [10] for polynomial ideals, to submodules of free modules and explain their computational relevance. We discuss also two algorithms to compute strongly independent sets that rest on the primary decomposition of squarefree monomial ideals.Usually the initial ideal in(I) of a polynomial ideal I is worse than I. In [9] the authors observed that nevertheless in(I) is not as bad as one should expect, showing that in(I) is connected in codimension one if I is prime.In the second part of the paper we add more evidence to that observation. We show that in(I) inherits (radically) unmixedness, connectedness in codimension one and connectedness outside a finite set of points from I and prove the same results also for initial submodules of free modules. By direct application of stress in molecular statics calculations we identify the stress components that affect the glide of 1/2?111? screw dislocations in bcc tungsten. These results prove that the hydrostatic stress and the normal stress parallel to the dislocation line do not play any role in the dislocation glide. Therefore, the Peierls stress of the dislocation cannot depend directly on the remaining two normal stresses that are perpendicular to the dislocation but, instead, on their combination that causes an equibiaxial tension-compression (and thus shear) in the plane perpendicular to the dislocation line. The Peierls stress of 1/2?111? screw dislocations then depends only on the orientation of the plane in which the shear stress parallel to the Burgers vector is applied and on the magnitude and orientation of the shear stress perpendicular to the slip direction. 相似文献

Light‐induced degradation (LID) has been identified to be a critical issue for solar cells processed on boron‐doped silicon substrates. Typically, Czochralski‐grown silicon (Cz‐Si) has been reported to suffer from stronger LID than block‐cast multicrystalline silicon (mc‐Si) due to higher oxygen concentrations. This work investigates LID under conditions practically relevant under module operation on different cell types. It is shown that aluminium oxide (AlOx) passivated mc‐Si solar cells degrade more than a reference aluminium back surface field mc‐Si cell and, remarkably, an AlOx passivated Cz‐Si solar cell. The defect which is activated by illumination is shown to be doubtful a sole bulk effect while the AlOx passivation might play a certain role. This work may contribute to a re‐evaluation of the suitability of boron‐doped Cz‐ and mc‐Si for solar cells with very high efficiencies. (© 2015 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH &Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献

Summary The post-buckling behavior of an elastic spherical shell is studied for large axisymmetric deformations. The complete post-buckling path is given for the experimentally confirmed single dimple solution in a load-deformation diagram, making use of the methods of local bifurcation theory, singular perturbation analysis and numerical analysis. From the specific form of the post-buckling path with its predominating unstable part follows the strong imperfection sensitivity of the shell structure.
Zusammenfassung Es wird das Nachbeulverhalten einer elastischen Kugelschale für große achsensymmetrische Deformationen untersucht. Der gesamte Nachbeulpfad wird für die experimentell bestätigte single dimple Lösung, die eine starke lokale Eindellung darstellt, angegeben, wobei Methoden der lokalen Verzweigungstheorie, der singulären Störungsrechnung und der numerischen Analysis verwendet wurden. Aus der besonderen Form des Nachbeulpfades mit seinem überwiegend instabilen Teil ist die starke Imperfektionsempfindlichkeit dieser Konstruktion deutlich erkennbar.相似文献

Pulsed electron–electron double resonance (PELDOR/DEER) at high frequencies can provide information on the relative orientation of paramagnetic centres or spin labels, if those are rigidly oriented in a host biomolecule and experiments are performed with sufficient orientation selectivity. We present the first comparative PELDOR study at 263 and 94 GHz on a model RNA system containing rigid nitroxides. We show that at 263 GHz still considerable modulation depth is observed and orientation selectivity is significant, particularly in g x–g y plane of the nitroxides. 相似文献

We report the use of nanotube field-effect transistor devices for chemical sensing in a conducting liquid environment. Detection of ammonia occurs through the shift of the gate voltage dependence of the source-drain current. We attribute this shift to charge transfer from adsorbed ammonia molecules, with the amount of charge estimated to be as small as 40 electrons for the smallest shift detected. Using the concentration dependence of the response as an adsorption isotherm, we are able to measure the amount of charge transfer to be 0.04 electron per ammonia molecule. 相似文献

Droplet evaporation characterization, although of great significance, is still challenging. The recently developed phase rainbow refractometry (PRR) is proposed as an approach to measuring the droplet temperature, size as well as evaporation rate simultaneously, and is applied to a single flowing n-heptane droplet produced by a droplet-on-demand generator. The changes of droplet temperature and evaporation rate after a transient spark heating are reflected in the time-resolved PRR image. Results show that droplet evaporation rate increases with temperature, from ?1.28 m2/s at atmospheric 293 K to a range of (?1.5, ?8) m2/s when heated to (294, 315) K, agreeing well with the Maxwell and Stefan–Fuchs model predictions. Uncertainty analysis suggests that the main source is the indeterminate gradient inside droplet, resulting in an underestimation of droplet temperature and evaporation rate. With the demonstration on simultaneous measurements of droplet refractive index as well as droplet transient and local evaporation rate in this work, PRR is a promising tool to investigate single droplet evaporation in real engine conditions. 相似文献

The microstructure and dynamics of a colloidal system interacting via short-ranged interparticle potential is studied by ultra-small-angle x-ray scattering and x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy. A colloidal gas-liquid type transition is induced when the short-ranged attractive interactions attain sufficient magnitude. The development of liquidlike structure is preceded by a systematic transition in the particle dynamics from diffusive to constrained motion and then completely frozen behavior. This demonstrates the existence of a jamming transition induced by strong short-ranged attractive interactions even at low packing fractions. 相似文献

Glasfibre structures feature high potentials for optimization and substitution of conventional materials like steel and aluminum and their alloys. The paper deals with the insertion of glasfibre trusses into thin glasfibre structures to reinforce them. The effective material properties of the glasfibre structures were estimated by experiments and simulations. Furthermore the Young's modulus of the trusses was obtained by bending tests and tension tests. A comparison between bending experiments and bending simulations is given.
