The simplex centroid mixture design for the ethanol, dichloromethane, hexane and acetone solvents has been applied to the extraction of crude mass and the fiber, organic, neutral and basic fractions as well as the fractionation residues of Erythrina speciosa Andrews leaves. Binary and ternary synergic solvent interactions are seen to provide dominant contributions to the extraction of both crude mass and all the fractions. Quadratic and special cubic mixture models precisely predict the extracted quantities of each fraction and the residue as a function of the proportions of the four solvents. Different solvent mixtures are found to be the most efficient extractors for the different fractions: binary dichloromethane‐hexane mixtures for the fiber fraction, ternary ethanol‐dichloromethane‐acetone mixtures for the neutral fraction, binary ethanol‐dichloromethane mixtures for the organic fraction, crude extract and residue values and ternary ethanol‐dichloromethane‐hexane mixtures for the basic fraction. Principal component analysis shows that the ethanol‐dichloromethane mixtures are important for extracting large quantities of the basic and organic fractions as well as of the residue and crude masses.  相似文献

We have investigated the effects of grafted polymer chains [poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide)] on the bending modulus and the intermembrane interactions of lamellar membranes (C(12)E(5) water) by means of a neutron spin-echo and a small-angle x-ray scattering technique. In this study the hydrophilic chain takes the mushroom configuration on the membrane. The bending modulus of the polymer-grafted membranes increases in proportion to the square of the end to end distance of the polymer chain, which agrees well with the theoretical prediction of Hiergeist and Lipowsky [J. Phys. II 6, 1465 (1996)]. From the interlamellar interaction point of view, the mushroom layer is renormalized to the membrane thickness, which enhances the repulsive Helfrich interaction. When the size of the decorated polymer chain increases to the interlamellar distance, however, the mushroom is squeezed so as to optimize the interlamellar potential. Further increase of the grafted polymer size brings a lamellar-lamellar phase separation, where the grafted polymer chains are localized in the dilute lamellar phase and the concentrated lamellar phase forms the onionlike texture.  相似文献

We developed a capillary electrophoretic system incorporating an ultra-violet absorption (UV)/chemiluminescence (CL) dual detector, taking advantage of the CL reaction of luminol-hydrogen peroxide and the batch-type CL detection cell. UV detection was carried out using the on-capillary method while CL detection was performed using the end-capillary method. Examination of isoluminol isothiocyanate (ILITC) as a model sample revealed two main peaks with UV detection and one main peak with CL detection. The first peak in the UV detection data corresponded to the main peak in the CL detection data. We then determined that the ILITC sample included natural ILITC as well as an impurity that had absorption behavior but did not have CL properties and labeling ability. Furthermore, the components of a mixture containing glycine, glycylglycine and glycylglycylglycine, all labeled with ILITC, were well separated and detected using the present system. The present system easily, rapidly, and simultaneously produces useful information due to the presence of both UV and CL detectors.  相似文献

A catalyst- and solvent-free synthesis of cyclodextrin-based polyrotaxanes exploiting a stable nitrile N-oxide as an end-capping agent was achieved. The C-C bond-forming end-capping reaction of an allyl-terminated pseudopolyrotaxane with the nitrile N-oxide proceeded smoothly by solid-state grinding in a mortar to afford a polyrotaxane.  相似文献

A phytochemical study of the ethyl acetate fractions from the partition of seeds and roots methanol extracts of Cenchrus echinatus L. led to the isolation of three resveratrol-derived stilbenoids: pallidol (1), carasiphenol C (2) and nepalensinol B (3). Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is prevalent in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). In hemodialysis (HD) patients, some protein-bound uremic toxins are considered to be associated with CVD. However, it is not yet known which uremic toxins are important in terms of endothelial toxicity. Serum samples were obtained from 45 HD patients before and after HD. Total and free serum concentrations of indoxyl sulfate, indoxyl glucuronide, indoleacetic acid, p-cresyl sulfate, p-cresyl glucuronide, phenyl sulfate, phenyl glucuronide, phenylacetic acid, phenylacetyl glutamine, hippuric acid, 4-ethylphenyl sulfate, and 3-carboxy-4-methyl-5-propyl-2-furanpropionic acid (CMPF) were simultaneously measured by liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC/ESI-MS/MS). The effects of these solutes at their pre-HD mean and maximum serum concentrations on reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) were measured with a ROS probe. Serum levels of 11 of the solutes (all except 4-ethylphenyl sulfate) were significantly increased in HD patients compared to healthy subjects. All 12 solutes showed changes in their protein-binding ratios. In particular, indoxyl sulfate, p-cresyl sulfate, CMPF, and 4-ethylphenyl sulfate showed high protein-binding ratios (>95 %) and low reduction rates by HD (<35 %). Indoxyl sulfate at its mean and maximum pre-HD serum concentrations-even with 4 % albumin-stimulated ROS production in HUVEC most intensely, followed by CMPF. In conclusion, the serum levels of 11 protein-bound uremic toxins were increased in HD patients. Indoxyl sulfate, p-cresyl sulfate, and CMPF could not be removed efficiently by HD due to their high protein-binding ratios. Indoxyl sulfate most intensely induced endothelial ROS production, followed by CMPF.  相似文献

Recently, the Voice Handicap Index (VHI), developed in the United States, has been highlighted as a means to assess a patient's perceptions of the severity of his or her voice disorder. The VHI is based on a self-administered questionnaire that quantifies the degree of a patient's disability related to his/her voice disorder. The questionnaire was translated into Japanese and applied to Japanese patients with various kinds of disordered voice or dysphonia. The results were analyzed and the usefulness discussed. In this study, 546 patients (281 males and 265 females) were included. Mean VHI scores were 36.2/120 in males and 44.1/120 in females. In the male patients, VHI scores were the highest among teens. However, VHI scores did not vary with age in the female patients. Patients with vocal fold paralysis, functional dysphonia, psychological dysphonia, and spasmodic dysphonia showed relatively high VHI scores, whereas those with laryngeal granuloma and laryngopharyngeal reflux disease showed low scores. In most diseases, functional and physiological scores were higher than emotional scores. In any treated patients, those with vocal nodule, vocal polyp, polypoid vocal fold, and recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis, VHI scores decreased after therapeutic intervention. These findings suggest that the Japanese VHI is a useful tool for monitoring a patient's psychological status, choosing appropriate treatment, and assessing the therapeutic outcome.  相似文献

Calcium phosphate coating over phosphorylated derivatives of chitin/chitosan material was produced by a process based on phosphorylation, Ca(OH)2 treatment and SBF (simulated body fluid solution) immersion. Chitin/chitosan phosphorylated using urea and H3PO4 and then soaked in saturated Ca(OH)2 solution at ambient temperature, which lead to the formation of thin coatings formed by partial hydrolysis of the PO4 functionalities, were found to stimulate the growth of a calcium phosphate coating on their surfaces after soaking in 1.5 × SBF solution for as little as one day. The Ca(OH)2 treatment facilitates the formation of a calcium phosphate precursor over the phosphorylated chitin/chitosan, which in turn encourages the growth of a calcium deficient apatite coating over the surface upon immersion in SBF solution. The bio-compatibility of calcium phosphate compound—chitin/chitosan composite materials was evaluated by cell culture test using L-929 cells. The initial anchoring ratio and the adhesive strength of L-929 cells for composites was higher than that for the polystyrene disk (LUX, control). The results of in-vitro evaluation suggested that the calcium phosphate—chitin/chitosan composite materials were suitable for cell carrier materials.  相似文献
