Pyrolysis of t-butyl formate, (CH3)3C-O-CHO, has been carried out in a carrier gas stream of Ar or N2 in a temperature range of 200–400°C. Between 200 and 300°C, the pyrolysis yielded an equimolar mixture of HCOOH and (CH3)2C=CH2. The results have been used as a calibration method for determining the concentration of the gas-phase HCOOH monomer without interference from the formation of the formic acid dimer. Using this technique, the gas-phase infrared absorption cross-section of HCOOH at 1105 cm–1 (peak to valley) for the resolution of 0.5 cm–1 has been determined to be 6.76×10–19 cm2 molecule–1.  相似文献

Photoluminescence behavior (polarization, lifetime) related to liquid-crystal (LC) formation was examined for the thermotropic liquid-crystalline polyesters poly [(ethylene terephthalate)-co-(p-oxybenzoate)] (PET40/OBA60) (OBA content: 60 mol %) and poly [(ethylene 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate)-co-(p-oxybenzoate)] (PEN50/OBA50) (OBA:50 mol %). The Growth of liquid-crystalline (LC) phases of PET40/OBA60 proceeded during annealing. even at low temperature (e.g., 138°C) and were promoted by an increase in annealing temperatures Ta in the experimental temperature range 138–260°C. The concentration dependence of fluorescence spectra of PET40/OBA60 in solution suggested that the fluorescences at 325 and 395 nm can be attributed to monomer and ground-state dimer, respectively. The increase in dimer fluorescence intensity and the decrease in the fluorescence anisotropy ratio r from 0.06 to –0.14 were observed with growth of LC phases. These effects are explained by an increase in the ground-state dimer population and a slight change in the dimer configuration, respectively. PEN50/OBA50 showed monomer fluorescence at 395 nm due to naphthalenedicarboxylate segments and excimer fluorescence at 430 nm. The r value for the excimer fluorescence decreased from zero to about ?0.14 with growth of the LC phase. Such an extraordinary phenomena, in comparison with the usual excimer fluorescences which occurs through energy migration, could be interpreted as the result of formation of high-concentration excimer sites induced by chain orientation in LC domains. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A diode ring cavity incorporating Faraday rotators and a variable phase retarder has been constructed aiming at achieving dual-frequency lasing operation with orthogonal linear polarizations. The orthogonal-polarization oscillations were observed in the 0.8-μm region with various operation wavelengths by changing the applied retardation. Furthermore the output power definitely depended on the applied retardation. Its dependence was theoretically studied, and the gain analysis taking into consideration the reflection at the laser diode amplifier facets was in good accordance with the experimental results.  相似文献

A revised mechanism that accounts for the glutathione peroxidase (GPx)-like catalytic activity of the organoselenium compound ebselen is described. It is shown that the reaction of ebselen with H(2)O(2) yields seleninic acid as the only oxidized product. The X-ray crystal structure of the seleninic acid shows that the selenium atom is involved in a noncovalent interaction with the carbonyl oxygen atom. In the presence of excess thiol, the Se--N bond in ebselen is readily cleaved by the thiol to produce the corresponding selenenyl sulfide. The selenenyl sulfide thus produced undergoes a disproportionation in the presence of H(2)O(2) to produce the diselenide, which upon reaction with H(2)O(2), produces a mixture of selenenic and seleninic acids. The addition of thiol to the mixture containing selenenic and seleninic acids leads to the formation of the selenenyl sulfide. When the concentration of the thiol is relatively low in the reaction mixture, the selenenic acid undergoes a rapid cyclization to produce ebselen. The seleninic acid, on the other hand, reacts with the diselenide to produce ebselen as the final product. DFT calculations show that the cyclization of selenenic acids to the corresponding selenenyl amides is more favored than that of sulfenic acids to the corresponding sulfenyl amides. This indicates that the regeneration of ebselen under a variety of conditions protects the selenium moiety from irreversible inactivation, which may be responsible for the biological activities of ebselen.  相似文献

A bioanalytical method has been developed and validated for determination of drospirenone in human plasma. The analytical method consists in the extraction of plasma sample with dichloromethane, followed by determination of drospirenone by LC–MS–MS using levonorgestrel as internal standard. Separation was achieved on a Peerless cyano column with an isocratic mobile phase consisting of methanol and ammonium formate buffer. Protonated ions formed by a Turboionspray in the positive mode were used to detect analyte and IS. The MS–MS detection was by monitoring the fragmentation for drospirenone and for levonorgestrel on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. The assay was calibrated over the range 5–100 ng mL?1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998. Validation data showed intra-batch (n = 6) CV% ≤ 5.58 and RE (%) between ?3.34 and +6.27 and inter-batch (n = 18) CV% < 6.08 and RE (%) between ?1.84 and +6.73. Mean extraction recovery were 83.31–92.58% for three QC samples and 89.32% for IS. Plasma samples were stable for three freeze-thaw cycles, or 24 h ambient storage, or 1 and 3 months storage at ?20 °C. Processed samples (ready for injection) were stable up to 72 h at autosampler (4 °C). This method has been used for analyzing plasma samples from a bioequivalence study with 12 volunteers.  相似文献

A method for the determination of cyclamate in food was developed using solid-phase extraction (SPE) and capillary electrophoresis (CE) with indirect ultraviolet (UV) detection. A 5-10 g sample in 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid was homogenized and made up to a volume of 50 mL with 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid. After the sample was centrifuged, 25 mL of supernatant was loaded into an Oasis HLB SPE cartridge. The cartridge was washed with 2 mL of demineralized water followed by 2 mL of 50% aqueous methanol, and cyclamate was eluted with 4.5 mL of 50% aqueous methanol. The eluate was added to a solution of sodium propionate (internal standard) for CE analysis. The cyclamate in the eluate was electrophoresed on a fused-silica capillary using 1 mmol/L hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide and 10 mmol/L potassium sorbate as a running buffer. Detection and reference wavelengths of cyclamate determined with a UV detector were 300 and 254 nm, respectively. The calibration curves for cyclamate showed good linearity in the range of 2-1000 microg/mL and the limits of detection in beverage, fruit in syrup, jam, pickles and confectionary are sample dependent and ranged from 5-10 microg/g. The recovery of cyclamate added at a level of 200 microg/g to various kinds of foods was 93.3-108.3% and the relative standard deviation was less than 4.9% (n=3). A number of commercial samples were analyzed using the proposed method. Cyclamate was detected in one waume, two pickles, and two sunflower seeds. The quantitative values determined with CE correlated to those from high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) (the detected values of cyclamate in a sunflower seed measured by CE and HPLC were 3.40 g/kg and 3.51 g/kg, respectively). This analytical method for cyclamate using CE is especially suitable for use in the field.  相似文献
