Three mesoporous silica, SBA-16, SBA-15 and MCM-41, with different structures and porosities were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and their interactions with carbon dioxide (CO2) were investigated through thermal programmed desorption (TPD) and differential scanning calorimetry. TPD measurements provided precise assessments of the intrinsic affinity towards CO2, without the influence of moisture. All silica materials were found to exhibit intrinsic affinity towards carbon dioxide, but the surface basicity, expressed in terms of retained CO2 amount, is markedly influenced by increases in pore size and framework structures. SBA-15 displayed the highest CRC values, explained in terms of larger pore size, lower numbers of acidic out-of plane Si–OH and higher numbers of much less acidic in-plane silanols. These findings provide valuable information for a better understanding of the role of the silica structure in the intrinsic basicity, prior to further modifications for improving the affinity towards CO2 or merely for catalysis purposes involving CO2 as reagents, intermediates or products. 相似文献

A novel macrocyclic calix[4]arene derivative was examined as an ionophore for ion‐selective polymeric membrane electrode toward Cu+2 ions. The sensor showed a near Nernstian response for Cu(II) ions over a concentration range from 8.1×10?6 to 1.0×10?2 mol L?1 with a slope of 34.2±0.4 mV per concentration decade in an acidic solution (pH 5). The limit of detection was 0.47 µg mL?1. It had a response time of <20 s and can be used for at least 3 months without any divergence in potentials. The influence of plasticizer as well as the amount of lipophilic anionic site additive in the sensing membrane was discussed. It was shown that membrane electrodes formulated with the ionophore and appropriate anionic additive exhibited enhanced potentiometric response toward Cu2+ over all other cations tested. Since selectivity toward Cu2+ ions is decreased in the presence of high amount of the anionic additive, the ionophore can function as neutral carriers within the organic membrane phase. Validation of the assay method revealed good performance characteristics, including long life span, good selectivity for Cu2+ ions over a wide variety of other metal ions, long term response stability, and high reproducibility. The sensors were used for direct measurement of copper content in different rocks collected from different geological zones. The viscous dissipation effect on forced convection in a porous saturated circular tube with an isoflux wall is investigated on the basis of the Brinkman flow model. For the thermally developing region, a numerical study is reported while a perturbation analysis is presented to find expressions for the temperature profile and the Nusselt number for the fully developed region. From the EtOAc and 1-BuOH fractions, three new ursane-type and four new lupane-type triterpenes, along with nine known glycosides and glycosyl esters of lupane-type were isolated from the leaves of Schefflera actinophylla.
