The surface structure of Ce adsorbed on a Mo(110) surface was studied by reflection high energy electron diffraction. Five kinds of surface structures were found with different deposition coverages in the submonolayer region. These structures have a common feature that Ce atoms possess a periodicity with double spacing at the atomic rows in the Mo[

To prepare sulfur-containing natural polymers effectively, several plant oils and 3,3'-thiodipropionic acid (TDP) have been used as carbon sources for the biosynthesis of copolymer poly[(3-hydroxybutyrate)-co-(3-mercaptopropionate)] [poly(3HB-co-3MP)] by a wild-type bacterium Cupriviadus necator H16. By using the plant oils, copolymer accumulation and incorporation of 3MP units are greater than those of cases using sugars. The 3MP fraction is controllable over a range of 1-39 mol-% by adjusting the cultivation conditions. Microbial degradability of the copolymers has been examined in an activated sludge supernatant. The biodegradation proceeded by two mechanisms: surface erosion and auto-catalytic hydrolysis, depending on the 3MP unit fraction, and show preferential degradation of 3HB unit sequences. 相似文献
A supramolecular approach has been developed for the preparation of supramolecular nanoparticles (SNPs) with variable sizes (30–450 nm) from three different molecular building blocks using a cyclodextrin/adamantane recognition system. Positron emission tomography (PET) was employed to study the biodistribution and lymph node drainage of the SNPs in mice. The sizes of the SNPs affect their in vivo characteristics (see picture).
Fibroadenomas (FAs) and phyllodes tumors (PTs) are major benign breast tumors, pathologically classified as fibroepithelial tumors. Although the clinical management of PTs differs from FAs, distinction by core needle biopsy diagnoses is still challenging. Here, a combined technique of label-free imaging with multi-photon microscopy and artificial intelligence was applied to detect quantitative signatures that differentiate fibroepithelial lesions. Multi-photon excited autofluorescence and second harmonic generation (SHG) signals were detected in tissue sections. A pixel-wise semantic segmentation method using a deep learning framework was used to separate epithelial and stromal regions automatically. The epithelial to stromal area ratio and the collagen SHG signal strength were investigated for their ability to distinguish fibroepithelial lesions. An image segmentation analysis with a pixel-wise semantic segmentation framework using a deep convolutional neural network showed the accurate separation of epithelial and stromal regions. A further investigation, to determine if scoring the epithelial to stromal area ratio and the SHG signal strength within the stromal area could be a marker for differentiating fibroepithelial tumors, showed accurate classification. Therefore, molecular and morphological changes, detected through the assistance of computational and label-free multi-photon imaging techniques, enable us to propose quantitative signatures for epithelial and stromal alterations in breast tissues. 相似文献
Relatively high concentrations of MK-733 (simvastatin) and MK-803 (lovastatin, mevinolin), which are 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitors, were found to inhibit acyl coenzyme A: cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) of rabbit intestinal microsomes with IC50's of 2.0 x 10(-5) and 3.6 x 10(-5) M, respectively. Dihydroxy acid forms of both MK-733 and MK-803 did not inhibit ACAT activity. A kinetic analysis using a Lineweaver-Burk plot indicated that MK-733 is a competitive inhibitor of ACAT, with a Ki value of 1.2 x 10(-5) M. 相似文献
To compare accumulation of the 125I-labeled antibodies (anti-carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) monoclonal antibody and polyclonal antibody) to a CEA-producing tumor (SC-2-JCK), an in vivo localization study was performed in nude mice. The tumor-to-blood ratio at 120 hours after injection rose to 4.6 for the monoclonal antibody, but remained at 1.3 for the polyclonal antibody. However, no differences were noted between the antibodies up to 72 hours after injection. In autoradiograms, selective accumulation of the tracer was noted in the tumor for both antibodies. However, no superiority or inferiority of imaging for either of the antibodies could be definitely determined. 相似文献
