Studies have raised concerns about the reliability of traditional clinical perceptual voice evaluation. References, training, and the analysis-by-synthesis method were proposed to improve this reliability. However, no study has directly compared the effectiveness of these methods. This study compared two training programs that are based on an anchors method and a paired comparison method. The aim of the programs was to improve the ability of naive listeners to detect subtle differences in breathiness. This study found that trained listeners showed significant improvement after training. Equivocal results were found as to which of these training methods was more effective. However, it is suggested that listeners should be trained before they use the analysis-by-synthesis method. The findings of this study provided more information on developing the theoretical framework proposed by Kreiman et al, in particular the "nature" of the internal representations of voice quality. An exemplar-based approach for processing breathiness is proposed. 相似文献

I=0=927(12) MeV, which is slightly lower than the experimentally observed f
0(980). The results from our variational analysis do not indicate a signature of a tetraquark resonance in I=1 and I=2 channels. After the chiral extrapolation the lowest 1(1+) state is found to have a mass m
4q
I=1=1358(28) MeV. We analysed the static 4q potential extracted from a tetraquark Wilson loop and illustrated the behaviour of the 4q state as a bound state, unbinding at some critical diquark separation. From our analysis we conclude that the scalar 4q system appears as a two-pion scattering state and that there is no spatially-localised 4q state in the light-quark mass region. 相似文献

Using Schur product techniques, we prove that S(a,b,c,d) is always subnormal; more generally, we establish that for every p?1, all p-subshifts of S(a,b,c,d) are subnormal. Low‐cost, single‐step synthesis of hollow nanotubes of N‐doped carbon deposited on CoS is enabled by the simultaneous use of three functionalities of polyacrylonitrite (PAN) nanofibers: 1) a substrate for loading active materials, 2) a sacrificial template for creating hollow tubular structures, and 3) a precursor for in situ nitrogen doping. In this study, it was found that the residual stream from pretreatments of rice straw exhibited high antioxidant activity. Assays based on the Folin–Ciocalteu colorimetric method confirmed that the residual stream contained large amounts of phenolic compounds. Three antioxidant assays were employed to evaluate the bioactivity of the residual stream. Strong linear correlations existed among the release of phenolic compounds, saccharification efficiency, and antioxidant activity. The alkaline pretreatment provided a much greater release of phenolic compounds, especially phenolic acids, compared to the acid pretreatment, and consequently, it had stronger linear correlations than the acid pretreatment. Antibacterial experiments demonstrated the ability of the phenolic compounds in the residual stream to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, indicating the potential of these compounds as antimicrobial agents. To discuss the possibility of the co-production of antimicrobial agents and biofuels/biochemicals, both acid and alkaline pretreatments were optimized using response surface methodology. Under the optimal conditions, 285.7 g glucose could be produced from 1 kg rice straw with the co-production of 3.84 g FA and 6.98 g p-CA after alkaline pretreatment. These results show that the recovery of phenolic compounds from the residual stream could be a green strategy for the low-cost bioconversion of rice straw. 相似文献

Quaternary ammonium drugs are anticholinergic agents and some of which have been known to be abused in equine sports. A general screening method for this class of drugs in equine urine by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) has not been reported. The paper describes an efficient LC-MS-MS method for the simultaneous detection and confirmation of twenty quaternary ammonium drugs at low ng mL?1 in equine urine after solid-phase extraction. Quaternary ammonium drugs were extracted from equine urine by solid-phase extraction using ISOLUTE® CBA SPE Columns and analysed by LC-MS-MS in the positive electrospray ionisation mode. Separation of twenty quaternary ammonium drugs (the quaternary ammonium ions of edrophonium chloride, pyridostigmine bromide, neostigmine bromide, bretylium tosylate, ipratropium bromide, tubocurarine chloride, N-butylscopolammonium bromide, mepenzolate bromide, rocuronium bromide, clidinium bromide, pipenzolate bromide, isopropamide iodide, glycopyrronium bromide, alcuronium chloride, oxyphenonium bromide, propantheline bromide, tridihexethyl chloride, vecuronium bromide, mivacurium chloride and pancuronium bromide) was achieved in a reversed phase column with a mixture of aqueous ammonium formate (pH 3.0, 10 mM) and acetonitrile as the mobile phase. Detection and confirmation of the twenty quaternary ammonium drugs at about 5 ng mL?1 in equine urine could be achieved within 22 min using product-ion scan MS-MS. The target analytes were detected by examination of extracted-ion chromatograms of their product ions. Drugs spiked in different equine urine (n = 15) were consistently detected. Negative samples (n = 30) of normal post-race equine urine have also been analysed, no matrix interference at the targeted masses and retention times was observed. The method was successfully applied to the analyses of drug-administration samples. Other method validation data including reproducibility and recovery will also be presented. An LC-MS-MS method for the simultaneous detection and confirmation of twenty quaternary ammonium drugs in equine urine was developed. The methodology should be applicable to other biological matrices such as human urine. 相似文献

A simple method was developed to optimize the solvent ratio of the two-phase solvent system used in the high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) separation. Some mathematic equations, such as the exponential and the power equations, were established to describe the relationship between the solvent ratio and the partition coefficient. Using this new method, the two-phase solvent system was easily optimized to obtain a proper partition coefficient for the CCC separation of the target compound. Furthermore, this method was satisfactorily applied in determining the two-phase solvent system for the HSCCC preparation of pseudolaric acid B from the Chinese herb Pseudolarix kaempferi Gordon (Pinaceae). The two-phase solvent system of n-hexane/EtOAc/MeOH/H(2)O (5:5:5:5 by volume) was used with a good partition coefficient K = 1.08. As a result, 232.05 mg of pseudolaric acid B was yielded from 0.5 g of the crude extract with a purity of 97.26% by HPLC analysis. 相似文献
