The solubilization and conformational behavior of Zein in the presence of cationic surfactant, dodecyldimethylethylammonium bromide (DDAB) have been studied. The colloidal properties of DDAB in the absence and presence of Zein have also been investigated using physico-chemical and spectroscopy methods. The surfactant appears to bind to Zein at concentrations below the critical micelle concentration (cmc) and the binding becomes weaker at concentrations above the cmc. The interaction between DDAB and Zein depends on the chemical structure and molecular parameters (conformation, molar mass, charge) of the protein. The schematic sketches of the molecular mechanisms of the complex formation between like-charged proteins and surfactants have been proposed.  相似文献

Background  

The LAR family Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase sigma (PTPσ) has been implicated in neuroendocrine and neuronal development, and shows strong expression in specific regions within the CNS, including the subventricular zone (SVZ). We established neural stem cell cultures, grown as neurospheres, from the SVZ of PTPσ knockout mice and sibling controls to determine if PTPσ influences the generation and the phenotype of the neuronal, astrocyte and oligodendrocyte cell lineages.  相似文献

We report the first measurement of the opening angle distribution between pairs of jets produced in high-energy collisions of transversely polarized protons. The measurement probes (Sivers) correlations between the transverse spin orientation of a proton and the transverse momentum directions of its partons. With both beams polarized, the wide pseudorapidity (-1< or = eta < or = +2) coverage for jets permits separation of Sivers functions for the valence and sea regions. The resulting asymmetries are all consistent with zero and considerably smaller than Sivers effects observed in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering. We discuss theoretical attempts to reconcile the new results with the sizable transverse spin effects seen in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering and forward hadron production in pp collisions.  相似文献

Analysis of Tween based microemulsion in the presence of TB drug rifampicin   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The purpose of present study was to formulate microemulsion composed of oleic acid+phosphate buffer (PB)+Tween 80+ethanol and to investigate its potential as drug delivery system for an antitubercular drug rifampicin. The pseudo-ternary phase diagram has been delineated at constant surfactant/cosurfactant ratio (K(m) 0.55). Conductivity (sigma) and viscosity (keta) studies with variation in Phi (weight fraction of aqueous phase) and omega (molar concentration ratio) show the occurrence of structural changes from water-in-oil (w/o) microemulsion to oil-in-water (o/w). Along with the solubility and partition studies of rifampicin in microemulsion components, the changes in the microstructure of the microemulsion after incorporation of drug have been evaluated using pH, sigma and keta studies. The results have shown that the microemulsion remained stable after the incorporation of rifampicin (in terms of optical texture and phase separation). In addition, the particle size analysis indicates that the microemulsion changes into o/w emulsion at infinite dilution. Dissolution studies infer that a controlled release of rifampicin is expected from o/w emulsion droplet.  相似文献

Lithium 2-picolylselenolate/tellurolate is obtained by reacting lithiated 2-picoline with elemental selenium/tellurium which upon aerial oxidation gives 2,2'-dipicolyl diselenide in case of selenium while 1,2-bis(2-pyridyl)ethane in case of tellurium. Condensation of 2-picolylselenolate anion with a variety of electrophiles provides a facile synthesis of 2-picolylalkyl selenides in good to excellent yields. Quenching of lithiated 2-picoline with 2,2'-dipyridyl diselenide gives mixed 2-picolylseleno pyridine in low yield. All the compounds prepared are new and have been characterized by elemental analysis, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and mass spectral studies.  相似文献
