The nickelacarboranes [NEt(4)][2-(eta(3)-C(3)H(4)R)-closo-2,1,7-NiC(2)B(9)H(11)] (R = H (1a), Ph (1b)) have been synthesized via reaction between [Na](2)[nido-7,9-C(2)B(9)H(11)] and [Ni(2)(micro-Br)(2)(eta(3)-C(3)H(4)R)(2)] in THF (THF = tetrahydrofuran), followed by addition of [NEt(4)]Cl. Protonation of 1a in the presence of a donor ligand L affords the complexes [2,2-L(2)-closo-2,1,7-NiC(2)B(9)H(11)] (L = CO (2), CNBu(t) (3)). Addition of PEt(3) (1 equiv) to 2 produces quantitative conversion to [2-CO-2-PEt(3)-closo-2,1,7-NiC(2)B(9)H(11)], 4. Species 2-4 exhibit in solution hindered rotation of the NiL(2) fragment with respect to the eta(5)-C(2)B(9) cage unit. Protonation of 1a in the presence of a diene affords the neutral complexes [2-(eta(2):eta(2)-diene)-closo-2,1,7-NiC(2)B(9)H(11)] (diene = C(5)Me(5)H (5), dcp (6), cod (7), nbd (8), chd (9), and cot (10a); dcp = dicyclopentadiene, cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene, nbd = norbornadiene, chd = 1,3-cyclohexadiene, and cot = cyclooctatetraene). Variable temperature (1)H NMR experiments show that the [Ni(diene)] fragments are freely rotating even at 193 K. A small quantity of the di-cage species [2,2'-micro-(1,2:5,6-eta-3,4:7,8-eta-cot)-(closo-2,1,7-NiC(2)B(9)H(11))(2)] (10b) is formed as a coproduct in the synthesis of 10a. This species can be rationally synthesized by protonation of 1a and subsequent addition of 10a.  相似文献

Solvent effects on a potential energy surface crossing are investigated by optimizing a conical intersection (CI) in solution. To this end, the analytic energy gradient has been derived and implemented for the collinear spin-flip density functional theory (SFDFT) combined with the effective fragment potential (EFP) solvent model. The new method is applied to the azomethane-water cluster and the chromophore of green fluorescent protein in aqueous solution. These applications illustrate not only dramatic changes in the CI geometries but also strong stabilization of the CI in a polar solvent. Furthermore, the CI geometries obtained by the hybrid SFDFT/EFP scheme reproduce those by the full SFDFT, indicating that the SFDFT/EFP method is an efficient and promising approach for understanding nonadiabatic processes in solution.  相似文献

Polypyrrole is a material with immensely useful properties suitable for a wide range of electrochemical applications, but its development has been hindered by cumbersome manufacturing processes. Here we show that a simple modification to the standard electrochemical polymerization method produces polypyrrole films of equivalently high conductivity and superior mechanical properties in one-tenth of the polymerization time. Preparing the film as a series of electrodeposited layers with thorough solvent washing between layering was found to produce excellent quality films even when layer deposition was accelerated by high current. The washing step between the sequentially polymerized layers altered the deposition mechanism, eliminating the typical dendritic growth and generating nonporous deposits. Solvent washing was shown to reduce the concentration of oligomeric species in the near-electrode region and hinder the three-dimensional growth mechanism that occurs by deposition of secondary particles from solution. As artificial muscles, the high density sequentially polymerized films produced the highest mechanical work output yet reported for polypyrrole actuators.  相似文献

The selective reduction of aryl nitro compounds in the presence of sensitive functionalities, including halide, carbonyl, nitrile, and ester substituents, under ultrasonic irradiation at 35 kHz is reported in yields of 39–98%. Iron powder proved superior to stannous chloride with high tolerance of sensitive functional groups and high yields of the desired aryl amines in relatively short reaction times. Simple experimental procedure and purification also make the iron reduction of aryl nitro compounds advantageous over other methods of reduction.  相似文献

A fast computer algorithm is described which brings computation of the permanents of sparse matrices, specifically, chemical adjacency matrices, within the reach of a desktop computer. Examples and results are presented, along with a discussion of the relationship of the permanent to the Kekulé structure count. Also presented is a C-language implementation which was deliberately written for ease of translation into other high-level languages.  相似文献

A micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography method was developed that permitted the resolution of antipyrine from endogenous compounds and its quantitation in neat saliva in as little as 1 min. Final conditions were: SpectraPhoresis 1000, 30(23) cm × 50 μm silica capillary, 50 mM sodium phosphate pH 9.6, 50 mM SDS, 10 s hydrodynamic load, detection scanning 200–300 nm or 260 nm, run 25 kV. To overcome the effects of Joule heating the capillary was cooled to 15°C. Sensitivity was <10 μM and linearity extended to 350 μM. Comparison with an HPLC assay demonstrated that hydrodynamic injection gave a loading bias unless samples and standards were of equal viscosity. For 75 samples from five subjects the correlation of CE vs. HPLC was then r = 0.99.  相似文献

[Pt(C2O4)(dppe)] reacts thermally with PhCCH to produce [Pt(CCPh)2(dppe)], which has been prepared by alternative routes. Similar treatment of [Pt(C2O4)(dppm)] initially produces [Pt(CCPh)2(dppm)], which rearranges to give cis,cis-[Pt2(CCPh)4(μ-dppm)2]. Reaction of [PtCl2(dppm)] with PhCCH/KOH/18-crown-6, or with (PhCC)SnMe3, gives [Pt(CCPh)2(dppm)], which may be converted to the cis,cis-dimer by addition of oxalic acid. Ultraviolet irradiation or refluxing with a trace amount of dppm converts [Pt(CCPh)2(dppm)] to trans,trans-[Pt2(CCPh)4(μ-dppm)2], but the cis,cis-dimer is stable under these conditions. [Pt(C2O4)L2] (L = PPh3, PEt3) complexes also react thermally with PhCCH to yield [Pt(CCPh)2L2] species.  相似文献

A simple relationship is derived which expresses the change in oscillation frequency of a quartz crystal in contact with a fluid in terms of material parameters of the fluid and the quartz. The relationship is Δf = ?f320L?L/πμQ?Q)12, where f0 is the oscillation frequency of the free (dry) crystal, ηL and ?L are the absolute viscosity and density of the liquid, respectively, and μQ and ?Q are the elastic modulus and density of the quartz. This relation is obtained from a simple physical model which couples the shear wave in the quartz to a damped shear wave in the fluid. Quantitative comparisons with two test cases, aqueous solutions of glucose and ethanol at various concentrations, demonstrate the accuracy of this model.  相似文献

The effect of pressure on the dissociation constant of hydrofluoric acid was determined by using the indicator technique at 25°C at an ionic strength of 0.1m over a pressure range of 1 to 2000 atm. A value of 3.14 for pK a * at I =0 was obtained by extrapolation to zero ionic strength at 1 atm. The pressure dependence yielded a partial molar volume change of –9.6 cm3-mol–1 and a compressibility change of — 35×10–3 cm3-mol–1 –atm–1 for the dissociation. The dependence of ionic strength on the association constant K A * of NaF was studied at 25°C and 1 atm. Extrapolation to I=0 yielded a pK A * of –0.78. The pressure dependence of K A * gave a change of volume of 3.26 cm3-mol–1 and a change in compressibility of 6×10–3 cm3-mol–1-atm–1 for the formation of the ion pair.  相似文献
