The analysis problem for genetic sequences is formulated from the viewpoint of modern mathematical and information approaches. Statistical, correlative, entropic, and spectral approaches are considered. A brief introduction into the background of the problem is given. Genesis of a new interdisciplinary subject area, bioinformatics, a science considering application of computer methods in biological studies, is analyzed. New approaches to studying macromolecular systems on the basis of combined spectral-analytic technologies are proposed. Estimates of the algorithmic complexity of implementation of the proposed approaches are presented.  相似文献

We present an overview of some of our work on transmission properties and mode characteristics of layered metamaterials and their potential applications. In particular, we will show how layered metamaterials exhibit unusual transmission properties and unconventional features of guided modes, such as resonance-induced transparency in multilayer structures and slope reversal of dispersion curves in coupled waveguides. The mid-infrared (1500-3800 cm−1) absorption spectrum of gaseous nitric oxide has been studied at low temperature (99 K) with a long absorption path (160 m) in order to observe weak combination, difference, and overtone bands of the NO dimer. About ten new bands were assigned with greater or lesser certainty. Combined with previous results, they lead to a set of 12 secure and 7 tentative vibrational term values for (NO)2, essentially doubling our knowledge of NO dimer vibrational states. The strongest non-fundamental bands in this region, other than the ν1 (symmetric N-O stretch) + ν5 (asymmetric N-O stretch) overtone, involve combinations of ν5 with ν3 (intermolecular stretch). Excitation of ν5 results in increased frequencies for the intermolecular modes ν2, ν3, and ν4. A new value of 155.5 cm−1 was obtained for ν4, the elusive infrared-inactive out-of-plane fundamental vibration.  相似文献

The spin-label method was used to study the structure and molecular motion of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) chains adsorbed on a silica-tethered poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). Spin-labelled PEO with a narrow molecular weight distribution, having number averaged molecular weight (M N)=6.0×103, was adsorbed on the surface of the silica-tethered PMMA with various grafting ratios in carbon tetrachloride solution at 35?°C. ESR spectra were measured at various temperatures after the samples were completely dried. The ESR spectra are composed of two spectra arising from spin-labels attached to “train” and “tail” segments, which are strongly and weakly interacted with the silica surface, respectively. The fractional amount of the “tail” segments increases extremely with the grafting ratio of PMMA. Molecular mobility of the PEO chains estimated from the temperature dependence of the ESR spectra also decreases significantly with the grafting ratio of PMMA. Structure and molecular motion of the PMMA chains tethered on the silica were also studied using the spin-labelled PMMA. Consequently, parts of the PEO segments penetrate into the PMMA chains and is adsorbed on the silica surface (“train” segments), whereas parts of the PMMA segments protrude from the surface. The other PEO segments are entangled with the tethered PMMA chains (“tail” segments).  相似文献

Let f be a function, continuous and real valued on the segment Δ, Δ ⊂ (−∞, ∞) and {Rn} be the sequence of the rational functions of best uniform approximation to f on Δ of order (n, n). In the present work, the convergence of {Rn} in the complex plane is considered for the special caseswhen the poles (or the zeros, respectively) of {Rn} accumulate in the terms of weak convergence of measures to acompact set of zero capacity. As a consequence, sufficient conditions for the holomorphic and the meromorphic continuability of f are given. Measurements of the forward-backward production asymmetry of heavy quarks in Z decays provide a precise determination of . The asymmetries are sensitive to QCD effects, in particular hard gluon radiation. In this paper QCD corrections for and are discussed. The interplay between the experimental techniques used to measure the asymmetries and the QCD effects is investigated using simulated events.
