We describe the use of hard etching methods to create nanodimensional channels and their use as templates for the formation of polymer filament arrays with precise dimensional and orientational control in a single integrated step. The procedure is general as illustrated by the radical, coordination, and photochemical polymerizations that were performed in these nanochannels. The nanochannel templates (20 nm high, 20-200 nm wide, and 100 mum long) were fabricated by the combined use of electron-beam lithography and a sacrificial metal line etching technique. Radical polymerization of acrylates, metal-catalyzed polymerization of norbornene, and photochemical polymerization of 1,4-diiodothiophene were carried out in these nanochannels. The polymers grown follow the dimensions and orientation of the channels, and the polymer filaments can be released without breaking. The approach opens up the possibility of just-in-place manufacturing and processing of patterns and devices from nanostructured polymers using well-established polymer chemistry. 相似文献

The three-photon absorption effect (3PA) of two novel symmetrical charge transfer fluorene-based molecules (abbreviated as BASF and BMOSF) has been determined by using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser pumped with 38 ps pulses at 1064 nm in DMF. The measured 3PA cross-sections are 84 × 10−78 and 114 × 10−78 cm6 s2, respectively. The geometries and electronic excitations of these two molecules are systematically studied by PM3 and ZINDO/S methods. The relationships between 3PA cross-sections and intramolecular charge transfer are discussed micromechanically. The experimental and theoretical results have shown that the larger intramolecular charge transfer, which was characterized by the charge density difference between the ground state (S0) and the first excited state (S1), the greater enhancement of the 3PA cross-sections. 相似文献

The influence of monosubstitution at phonyl rings in a series of T(x-P) PMn (Ⅲ)Cl (x = o , m , p-CH3, CH3O, Cl, Br, I, NO , o-NH2, p-(CH3)3C) on the biomimetic catalytic hydroxylation and chlorizaiton of cyclohexane with PhIO was studied. The yields of cyclohexanol and chlorocyclohexane increased with the electron-withdrawing ability of the substituent in this manganese complex. Green light emitting Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphors have been prepared via a low-temperature solid-state reaction using mesoporous silica SBA-15 template. This mesoporous silica template method features low-temperature formation of phosphors and easy doping. The structure and morphology of the phosphors were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and N2 adsorption/desorption techniques, which confirmed the single crystallinity, ordered mesostructure, closed pore channels, and elongated ropelike morphology. The luminescent properties were examined by photoluminescence spectroscopy at room temperature, and the results of fluorescence decay time measurements show non-single-exponential decay behavior and a decrease of the decay time with an increase of the Mn concentration. 相似文献
