This paper presents the validation of a system for sample digestion using a digester block/cold finger to determine the lead content in vegetables by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). After mineralization, lead contents were determined by ETAAS using a calibration curve based on aqueous standards prepared in 2.60 M nitric acid solutions containing 5 microg ammonium phosphate as chemical modifier. A pyrolysis temperature of 900 degrees C and atomization temperature of 2000 degrees C were used. This method allowed the determination of lead with a characteristic mass of 35 pg; LOD and LOQ of 0.6 and 2 nglg, respectively, were found. The precision was investigated in terms of reproducibility and repeatability. Reproducibility was estimated by analysis of nine different portions of a certified reference material (CRM) of spinach leaves, and the repeatability was determined through the analysis of nine aliquots of the same solution. The reproducibility and repeatability were found to be 4.27 and 2.94% RSD, respectively. The accuracy was confirmed by analysis of whole meal flour, spinach leaves, and orchard leaves CRMs, all furnished by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Lead contents were measured using the newly developed technique in 11 different potato samples. The lead contents ranged from 12.80 to 69.27 ng/g, with an average value of 28.59 ng/g. The dynamic electronic structure of atoms and molecules can be directly observed by means of the (e, 2e) reaction, which measures the distribution of energies and momenta of two electrons in coincidence after a knockout reaction initiated by an electron beam of known momentum incident on a molecular gas target. The molecular state for each event is identified by the electron separation energy. The recoil momentum for each event is known from the difference of measured initial and final momenta. It has been verified that values of this momentum are equal under suitable conditions to the momentum of the electron in the target immediately before knockout. Thus the spherically-averaged electron momentum distribution for each molecular orbital is measured. This is directly related to molecular orbitals calculated by the methods of quantum chemistry. Properties obtained by this method for different types of molecules are discussed. 相似文献

A suitable weak topology is considered on the Hilbert phase space of a quantum-mechanical system. It is then shown that if two bounded observables of the system have no common eigenvector, the sum of their variances in any state is always greater than some positive constant. Consequences of this result on some observables of simple physical systems are examined. First of all, the case of the position and momentum of the elementary particle in one dimension is studied and a comparation with Heisenberg's indeterminacy principle is carried out. Then, the case of angular variables is also examined, with special emphasis on spin 1/2. An experiment with neutrons is finally suggested and analysed with the help of the theory developed. 相似文献

In this paper we studied the effects of Bi2O3 and PbO addition on BiFeO3 (BFO) ceramic matrix. The structural, dielectric and magnetic properties of fifteen BFO samples were discussed in view of possible applications in RF and microwave devices. The present work also reports the preparation of the samples. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) were also added as a binder in the fabrication procedure. The samples have been studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and magnetic hysteresis measurements. Further, a study based on impedance spectroscopy also has been done. Dielectric permittivity (ε′) and dielectric loss (tan δ) were measured at room temperature in the frequency range 100 Hz-10 MHz, as well as a.c. conductivity. The -Im[Z(f)] versus Re[Z(f)] plot has been obtained. The samples were investigated in view of possible applications like miniaturized filters, diplexers and dielectric resonator antennas (DRA). In the RF and MW frequency region, the application of magneto-dielectric and multiferroic perovskite composite materials is desirable for the miniaturization of components. 相似文献

Background
We have recorded responses from single neurons in murine visual cortex to determine the effectiveness of the input from the two murine cone photoreceptor mechanisms and whether there is any unique selectivity for cone inputs at this higher region of the visual system that would support the possibility of colour vision in mice. Each eye was stimulated by diffuse light, either 370 (strong stimulus for the ultra-violet (UV) cone opsin) or 505 nm (exclusively stimulating the middle wavelength sensitive (M) cone opsin), obtained from light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the presence of a strong adapting light that suppressed the responses of rods.Results
Single cells responded to these diffuse stimuli in all areas of striate cortex. Two types of responsive cells were encountered. One type (135/323 – 42%) had little to no spontaneous activity and responded at either the on and/or the off phase of the light stimulus with a few impulses often of relatively large amplitude. A second type (166/323 – 51%) had spontaneous activity and responded tonically to light stimuli with impulses often of small amplitude. Most of the cells responded similarly to both spectral stimuli. A few (18/323 – 6%) responded strongly or exclusively to one or the other spectral stimulus and rarely in a spectrally opponent manner.Conclusion
Most cells in murine striate cortex receive excitatory inputs from both UV- and M-cones. A small fraction shows either strong selectivity for one or the other cone mechanism and occasionally cone opponent responses. Biochar is a charcoal produced from the biomass pyrolysis process that presents a highly porous and functionalized surface. In the present work an array of carbon paste electrodes (CPE) made of different forms of carbon (graphite, carbon nanotubes and activated biochar) was evaluated in the development of an electronic tongue for discrimination and stripping voltammetric determination of catechol (CAT), 4‐ethylcatechol (4‐EC) and 4‐ethylguaiacol (4‐EG) phenolic compounds. Morphological characterization of carbon materials and electrodes surfaces was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and semi‐quantitative elemental composition by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements were used for electrochemical characterization of electrodes. Cyclic voltammetry measurements were performed for the phenolic compounds evaluated using different concentrations. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed to evaluate the qualitative analysis. Quantitative data modeling was done using artificial neural networks (ANN). The proposed sensor array presented analytical potentiality allowing the distinction and determination of CAT, 4‐EC and 4‐EG by using chemometric processing. The method showed sensibility, reproducibility and a good linearity (R2>0.9940) for three compounds evaluated. Spontaneous preconcentration of three compounds was possible using all three sensors, which can allow the application of these as passive samplers for remote determinations of phenolic compounds in wine and food samples. 相似文献
