Using an on-line microdialysis/HPLC system for the simultaneous determination of melamine and cyanuric acid in non-dairy creamer

The recent revelation of melamine (MEL) contamination in foodstuffs in China has rocked the international public health community. Many food categories have been involved in this scandal, including non-dairy creamer (NDC). In this study, we investigated the use of hollow-fiber microdialysis (MD) sampling coupled on-line with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as an alternative to sample pretreatment for the direct determination of MEL and its analogue cyanuric acid (CYA) in NDC. After MD sampling, the dialysate was injected on-line into the chromatographic system for analysis of MEL and CYA with UV detection at 203 nm. We monitored the effects of various parameters affecting the MD efficiency, namely the characteristics of the MD probe membrane, the flow-rate and the nature of the polarity modifier in the perfusion stream, and the addition of salt in the sample solution. The optimal enrichment efficiency for collecting MEL and CYA from aqueous NDC samples occurred with MD sampling using a hollow polysulfone MD fiber and MeOH as the perfusate at a flow rate of 10 μL min⁻¹. The optimized chromatographic conditions involved using a reversed-phase phenyl column and a mobile phase of 5 mM phosphate buffer in 10% (v/v) MeOH, buffered at pH 6.5. Detection was linear in the concentration range from 0.02 to 5 ppm for MEL and from 2 to 100 ppm for CYA, with detection limits of 1 ppb for MEL and 30 ppb for CYA. The volume of perfusate required to extract MEL and CYA from the NDC solution was only 21 μL. The total MD sampling time was 2.1 min. This method allows the sensitive, eco-friendly, and rapid determination of MEL and CYA in NDC—a risk food for economically motivated adulteration.     

Total synthesis of optically active lycopladine A by utilizing diastereoselective protection of carbonyl group in a 1,3-cyclohexanedione derivative

We successfully synthesized two enantiomers of bicyclic enones, (7R,7aR)- and (7S,7aS)-9, from the hemiacetal 2a, which we first synthesized from the symmetrical diketone 1a via diastereoselective carbon-oxygen bond formation between one of the carbonyl groups and the chiral alcohol on the C2 side chain in a 2,2-disubstituted 1,3-cycloalkanedione derivative. We also report the total synthesis of natural (+)-lycopladine A [(+)-6] from (7R,7aR)-9 and the formal synthesis of unnatural (-)-lycopladine A [(-)-6] from (7S,7aS)-9.     

基于格子Boltzmann方法的液滴沿固壁铺展动态过程模拟

矿井喷雾降尘是利用水雾使粉尘润湿沉降的过程,考虑到固体与液体间分子作用力,本文采用格子Boltzmann方法对液滴沿固壁铺展的动力学行为进行了数值模拟,结果发现铺展直径及动态接触角随时间呈指数规律,确定了液滴表面张力与铺展最大直径间的关系,固壁润湿性对铺展最大速度值影响较大,这些与物理试验及文献结果符合良好. 进一步考察了疏水性强的固壁,发现当液滴表面张力足够小时,铺展接触角可以在90°以下,与理论公式符合. 研究发现铺展过程中伴随着振荡,且铺展到最大时液膜有回缩趋势. 关键词： 液滴 格子Boltzmann方法 铺展 数值模拟     

频率选择表面天线罩研究现状与发展趋势

由于雷达天线系统自身工作的特点, 他必须保证自身雷达波的正常接收和发射, 常用的隐身措施无法简单地在雷达天线隐身中获得应用. 采用频率选择表面 (FSS) 技术与天线罩技术相结合形成FSS天线罩, 可以使天线罩获得频率选择的功能. 即FSS天线罩对雷达的工作频段提供带通的传输特性, 同时改变雷达工作频段以外的雷达散射截面 (RCS) 特性, 可以实现带外隐身. 本文分析了FSS天线罩制备的基本思路, 综述了国内外FSS天线罩在结构设计、制造工艺等方面的研究状况, 并从多频FSS天线罩、智能FSS天线罩、厚屏FSS天线罩、 微型化FSS天线罩以及各技术的组合等方面对FSS天线罩的发展进行了展望. 关键词： 频率选择表面(FSS) 多频FSS天线罩 智能FSS天线罩 厚屏FSS天线罩     

A study on the preparation and characteristics of zeolite membrane PLOT column by in-situ synthesis

Summary The preparation of a zeolite membrane PLOT column by in-situ synthesis is described. The advantages of this new column are discussed. Some analytical applications to alkanes, arenes, esters, alkyl halides and ethers on the zeolite membrane PLOT column compared with those on a coated zeolite PLOT column are reported.     

Palladium-catalyzed stereospecific 1,4-hydrogen migration of cis-cyclohex-2-en-1,4-diol systems

It has been revealed that the generation of 2-cyclohexenones from cis-1,4-dihydroxycyclohexene derivatives under PdCl₂(PPh₃)₂-HCO₂NH₄ system takes place in an intramolecular pathway involving unprecedented mode of suprafacial 1,4-hydrogen migration across the 1,4-allylic centers.     

An unusual structure of the hydrated sodium chloride complex of cryptand [2.2.2]

The solid state structure of the Na[2.2.2]C1 · 3H₂O complex has the sodium ion displaced towards one of the cryptand nitrogens and the chloride and water molecules associated by hydrogen bonds to form a pseudo cube with two chloride ions at opposite corners of the cube and water oxygens at the other six corners.     

Study of kinetics and mechanism of the acid dissociation of copper(II) complex of novel C-functionalized macrocyclic dioxotetraamines

The kinetics of the acid dissociation of copper(II) complexes of novel C-functionalized macrocyclic dioxotetraamines has been studied by means of a stopped-flow spectrophotometer. The acid dissociation rate follows the law V_d = C_comkK₁K₂H ²/(1+K₁H+K₁K₂H ²). From the experimental facts we have obtained, the dissociation kinetics are interpreted by a mechanism involving the negatively charged carbonyl oxygen of the complex being rapidly protonated in a pre-equilibrium step, the rate-determining step being intramolecular hydrogen (enolic tautomer) migration (to imine nitrogen). The dissociation rate reached a plateau in the strongly acidic solution. By means of temperature coefficient method, ΔH ^φ, ΔS ^φ of the pre-equilibrium step and ΔH ^≠, ΔS^≠ of the rate-determining step were obtained. The results of 13-membered macrocyclic dioxotetraamines have been discussed. The influence of the substituents to the acid dissociation rates has also been discussed. The Bronsted type linear free energy relationships do also exist in these C-functionalized dioxotetraamine copper(II) complexes.
